0700 Arrived at the food court, planning to have breakfast before boarding.
I chose my favorite minced pork noodles and intended to buy a bottle of water.
I queued for over 10 minutes, and there were still many people in front of me, with a long line behind as well. I know that in Singapore, it’s typical for food courts to have only one beverage stall—this is the norm. But in such a special place as the airport, where your image impacts the world and there are so many travelers every day, I really don’t understand why this food court only has one beverage store.
Moreover, I just wanted to buy a bottle of water. Why can’t the store install a self-checkout machine specifically for customers who are only purchasing bottled water or beverages?
In the end, I gave up waiting in line and quickly went to 7-Eleven to buy a bottle of water instead.
In summary, it seems this food court has been recently renovated, and the variety of stores has significantly increased. The overall standard inside is satisfactory.
However, the service at the beverage stall is extremely poor and inefficient. Unfortunately, because it has a monopoly, there’s nothing anyone can do. It’s a shame for the consumers and tarnishes the reputation of Singapore’s world-renowned airport.
