I stayed for 3 nights in one of the hostel’s shared rooms, and honestly, it didn’t feel much different from a private single room because everyone was very respectful and tried not to make noise inside the room, which made me really happy.
In terms of cleanliness, every day between 10–11 a.m., the housekeeper came to change the bedding for those checking out and to clean the room. The highest number of people I saw in the room at the same time was 6, and I never experienced waiting in line for the bathroom or toilet.
For the lockers, you can get locks from the reception for a €2 deposit, and towels can be purchased the same way for €2. The only thing I noticed as a small issue was that sometimes there were Russian or Ukrainian staff at reception who didn’t speak German or English, which caused some communication difficulties, but it wasn’t a big problem.
From now on, I know where I’ll stay every time I visit Berlin. Finally, the location is great—it’s in the city center, with an Edeka supermarket just a 5-minute walk away, and plenty of scooters and electric bikes to rent around the building, making transportation much easier.
I paid €50 for three nights, and everything was perfect.
