I really have to come on here and say I had a great stay here. I was immediately struck by the beauty of the place, the kind service of the staff, and the location. It's right by Fatehpol entrance to fort and not unsafe at all. There are families, children, and women around at all times. Beautiful part of town away from the horrendous traffic of more touristy parts. Maybe there's a little dust but what do you expect from a 500 year old building. I felt it was very clean overall, and I've stayed at 5 star hotels and had more issues sometimes. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent 2 nights at this wonderful Haveli located in a wonderful location under the fort and in the blue zone of Jodphur. The rooms were amazing. It felt like being transported back 400 years. The view from the fort was fabulous and the staff really looked after us. Highly recommend. Although Google maps will be needed to find the place by tuk-tuk or walking.

IDEAL RATING 3.5. We were a group of 6 (4 adults + 2 kids). Jodhpur was our interim halt on the way to Jaisalmer, for a night's stay. Our intercity travels were by train.||The hotel is located in the Jodhpur old town (blue city), with buildings huddled around the Meherangarh fort. Approach lane is very narrow - TAKE AN AUTORICKSHAW INSTEAD OF A TAXI/ CAB if you are landing up at the station and carrying lot of baggage. The lanes are too narrow for a taxi/ cab to reach the hotel, and the lanes are quite dirty for a walk.||THE GOOD PART (why rated above 3) - The stay was comfortable, rooms were spic and span. The hotel immediately provided rooms on our arrival (we arrived at ~5am, but did not have to wait for check-in). They have very nice decor of a typical haveli and fantastic city and fort views. Excellent carpeted fooding area with low mattresses and cushions where you can relax, grab a book or simply chat while enjoying your food. Food was good. Staff was very well behaved. The fort is at a walking distance.||THE BAD PART (why rated below 5) - First, the narrow approach lanes. Second, some of the utensils in which food was served had spider webs at their bottoms, hence not properly cleaned. Next, there was load shedding in the middle of the night and the rooms (standard room plan, ground floor) given to us did not have any power backup. We got up startled while sleeping and had to keep our torches switched on till the power resumed.

The location is situated in the run down section of town. The rickshaw that brought us to our haveli told us this was a sketchy neighborhood, and said to let us know if we wanted to change our accommodations. This is also located fairly far from nice restaurants and the general attractions. Like popular alley ways, the entrance you can use for the fort and other attractions. I generally felt uneasy walking in the area day and evening. Only nice aspect is the rooftop view however this can be found in almost all accomodations. Sleep was what really brought this down for me. The blanket they gave us was rough almost like a old rag. The noise at night was dogs yelping, fire works and chanting it was impossible to get a good night sleep. The singing started around 4am and did not stop until I left the room around 8am. These sounds felt as if they were happening right next to you. Other complaints about the room was the towels were stained and rough, the toilet paper felt like sand paper and the bathroom had no ventilation. Service was fairly good, we had asked about laundry service and when we decided to get the laundry done the next day they told us prices that were double to the day before with no explanation.

Great experience to stay here, beautiful haveli which has been in the owners family for 400 years. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms and common areas and a roof terrace with an amazing view of the fort. We got a free late checkout as well.

What a lovely Bohemian hotel! Sunil, the manager is wonderful. The rooms are great. We stayed in the deluxe rooms on the top floor. Restaurant was accommodating until late in the evening, with a variety of American/Indian fare.

Beautiful haveli in the central old city within walking distance to the fort. The room was worth the value for money but what makes the experience were the staff who provided great hospitality! Very helpful and humble people.

The hotel is located in the middle of the old town and is per se a beautiful old Haveli. However some serious renovation and cleaning are necessary. Our room was full of decorations which were covered in thick layers of dust. This also led to a very sticky and dusty air within the room. The AC was extremly !!!! Loud. The bed sheets didn’t smell but they had several holes and the cushions beneath the sheets had dark spots. Well… The food we had for dinner and breakfast was very nice, the service was good but nothing exceptional. We would not stay here again. There’s better value for the money elsewhere.
