Singing Christmas Tree

So fun! We caught the 1530 show and stayed for about 4 or 5 songs. It does get crowded right before the performance. My favorite part was that the singers seemed to be having a great time even though I’m sure they sing the same songs quite a few times throughout the day. It’s a great stop along the way between the different markets.

Really beautiful display and decoration. Very well lit up and huge number of people watching it.

Grab yourself a glüwein and join the crowd, the Christmas spirit runs wild 🎄 Very cute spot to enjoy some local performance and talent, situated close to the station is an easy walk and well worth stop to feel like you’re in the movie “Daddy’s home 2”

The cutest purest experience we had (and for free) young children sung beautiful Christmas songs and they were unapologetically themselves! The best way to capture a children's joy! I suggest not to come from the main street but from the other side to have a better view and be there at least half an hour before

Great experience in Zurich during christmas. It is quite overpack though, go early and don't think about getting drinks during the show.

Such a beautiful experience that makes you feel the Christmas spirit! I expected it to be in German initially, however I was pleasantly surprised to see it in English so it was a very good experience for a visitor. They are doing the show multiple times at different hours and it takes about half an hour for a show. Definitely a must do if you are in town around Christmas time.

Amazing experience! Even while spending the entire evening in the rain, the children singing the night we attended were truly angelic! A must see for anybody exploring Zurich.

My friends call me the Grinch, I really dislike most Christmas traditions except for overeating in general, minced pies and the cold weather. Add to that the Singing Christmas Tree as from today! I accidentally walked into this little Christmas market off Bahnhofstrasse and just wanted to pick up some food. I noticed that there were some very young kids climbing a very curious contraption which suspiciously looked like a Christmas tree. Once they started singing the Grinch in me started melting down, it was like little angels in a Christmas tree. I felt like all these innocent voices wanted to convince me that it isn't all about commercialization. Wow!! I stood there and watched them for 30 mins in the freezing cold! One disclaimer though: I walked past again a few days later during daytime and the choir consisted out of young adults... don't know if it were the children or the lights at night but the magic was significantly less so pick your timing wisely.
