During our six night stay at Singita, two were spent at Serengeti House. There were three couples in our party. The house itself has two bedrooms, then there is a cottage on either side of the house. My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages. Honestly the cottage alone would have been outstanding but we had an entire house for our group also. We had an fantastic staff that catered to our every need. Kara, Isaac, and Felix were not only professional and efficient but they were funny and informative also. Great company and service. The house is gorgeous, with elephants wandering by and we were told sometimes drinking from the pool.||The food was delicious and the table was always beautifully set with rose petals strewn about. There was a fire set in the fire pit out back each night to enjoy with a drink before dinner.||Extremely peaceful. Strongly recommend it. ||Eugen was our guide for the week. He was extremely knowledgeable about the plants and animals. He was amazing when it came to spotting animals and birds. Loved every minute!

In 2015 and 2018 we stayed the spectacular Sasakwa Lodge. During our stay in 2015 we had our farewell breakfast at the Serengeti House, a short five minute drive from the Lodge. At the time, I thought I would love to stay at the Serengeti House. When our travel friends told us they wanted to go back to Tanzania with two of their adult children and their wives, for a total of 8 in our party, I thought of the Serengeti House immendiately. A dream come true. A perfect place for a group of 8. The house has a Jr master suite as well as a master suite, only difference being the his and her bathrooms in the master suite..There are two separate beautiful guest houses on either side of the main house. A large infinity pool and multiple outside seating areas look out at the savannah and various animals saunter by during the day and night. We had our meals at the house cooked by a private chef and staff. A tennis court nearby, a private gym on the property, and a private spa complete the property. ||The staff at the Serengeti House were totally dedicated to meeting your every need. Moses Kafugo, Betty Mollel and Ngolo Saguda were amazing. They made our stay perfect in every way, including a special birthday cake and song sung by the whole staff. A highlight of our stay was the evening that they arranged for a nearby village tribal dancers to come and perform for us. Instead, we joined in with the dancers, then Moses, Betty, Ngolo joined in, followed by Peter our guide and then the chef and his staff and then the entire staff. It was amazing, we danced until we dropped!! It will be an evening that we will never forget. A special call out for our guide and good friend, Peter Chatahma. Peter was our guide in 2015 and 2018, and is a large part of why we keep coming back to Singita Tanzania. It is obvious that Peter loves what he does. He is enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, but also about the birds, the insects, the geology, the topography and the history of the Serengeti. He is easy to be with, and has this incredibly infectious laugh. we love having him share all our meals with us as we continue to talk about the incredible game drives we had that day. I could go on and on about Peter and the Singita properties, but if you want the best experience that you will never forget in Tanzania, ask for Peter and stay at a Singita property.

I stayed here with my hubby and a couple of friends. The place unbelievably beautiful. The food is to die for and the staff are fantastic. It is soo homey and comfortable that we could have stayed for weeks and not days. The weather was fantastic (end sept). The game drives were well organised with alot of excitement and adventure. I would defiantly come back here again

We were returning guests (and I have written a separate review of Explore) and the house remains an incredible place with stunning views. Service from Moses and Ngolo is excellent and warm whilst Gertrude produces delicious food with huge variety and that trio really made our stay. We didn’t get the surprises of our first visit (e.g. a breakfast in the bush) but maybe because we had stayed at Explore - although they didn’t do that there either. ||||One of the problems is that Singita has more than doubled its prices since 2017 (compared to 2020) and yet the product is exactly the same so we left feeling a little underwhelmed compared to our first visit. Maybe it’s because there wasn’t the same sense of novelty as a first visit. Don’t get me wrong this remains one of the most incredible places to visit and if money is no concern then I would fully recommend it. The first time we went I could not wait to rebook and return but this time it didn’t feel perfect (maybe our guide had something to do with that since the previous one was much better). But ultimately with a string of celebrity guests maybe they no longer need to try as hard and can charge whatever they want - first time though expensive I still thought it was good value for money this time I didn’t.

This was our first visit to the Serengeti after many safaris in South Africa. The scale of the landscape and wildlife is almost unbelievable and the experience we had at the Singita Serengeti House was possibly our best ever on any holiday. The accommodation and setting were first class and the staff, Ellie, Felix and Joe in particular, could not have done more for us. Special mention also to the tennis ball boys! But extra special mention to Gertrude and her catering team. No doubt about this one. Definitely the best food ever. Full stop. Sorry Mrs J! Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay.

From the moment you arrive at the nearby airstrip you know you have come to a very special place. We were two families visiting from Canada, after climbing for 8 days on Mt. Kilimanjaro. Needless to say, we were exhausted and dirty and in desperate need of rest and relaxation. Singita Serengeti House (SSH) more than fit the bill.||||The house and two nearby cottages are truly luxurious and spectacular in their design and setting. All furnishings and art are gorgeous and the bedrooms and bathrooms are a decadent oasis. Beds are super comfortable and every imaginable amenity is provided. The separate bathtub and shower were amazing! Outside, the view from the back veranda / pool down to the Grumeti reserve was spellbinding, as wild game can be observed throughout the day. Monkeys come right up to the house but never feel intrusive.||||Each day begins around 6 AM with a quick but satisfying breakfast followed by 4-5 hour safari ride with an extremely knowledgeable guide/driver. Ours was Kim and he did a fantastic job expertly explaining all of the animals to us including their habits and role / place within the animal heirarchy at the reserve. We could listen to Kim all day without every getting bored. He was awesome.||||After the morning safari, we would return to the house for an amazing lunch prepared by Gertrude. All meals were served family style and the variety and quality of each and every dish was outstanding. Ingredients were fresh and the creativity was exceptional. Every meal was served in either a different location or with a special twist that made the dining unforgettable. For example, our first lunch was served out on the reserve toward the end of our morning safari. We drove up unexpectedly to a beautiful setting under a canopy of trees where Gertrude and staff had set up a BBQ and prepared a feast of delicacies for our group.. Probably the most beautiful setting we have ever dined in.||||Afternoons are very relaxing and often involved a nap by the pool or inside one of the beautiful bedrooms. Tea would then be served around 4 PM (with an assortment of delicious treats) and at 4:30 it's off to the reserve with another safari before dinner.||||Dinners were just like the lunches - delicious, inventive, and served in spectacular settings. The final night's dinner was set about 50 meters from the House under a tree with an accompanying bonfire and lit by a number of lanterns. Again, Gertrude outdid herself by preparing a meal that was unforgettable. BBQ lobster tails, shrimp, beef, and a variety of tasty salads just to name a few. Wines are excellent and there were a number to choose from in the different wine fridges. Mostly S. African but also several Cotes de Rhone with many pre-2010 vintages. And before heading down for our final dinner we were surprised by a troupe of dancers from a local tribe who showed up on our back deck and performed an amazing show with drums, singing, dancing, and fire eating! We all got up and danced with them.||||Finally, I can't say enough about the impeccable service at SSH. Each time you return to the house from safari you are met by a few staff (usually Moses or Braya) who hand out moistened eucalyptus towels to refresh. Then it's inside to the bar where either Moses or Ngolo whip us just the right cocktail or two before dinner. I have to say that Moses' vodka martinis and lime margaritas were a pleasure to enjoy. Moses, Ngolo, and Braya were always available for anything we needed and we enjoyed their company and hospitality very much. They were all so friendly and gracious.||||It was sad leaving SSH but hopefully we will return there one day. It is truly a special place and was the perfect way to end our trip to Tanzania.
