3 Best Day Trips in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"Life in the little surf village of Uluwatu, in the south of Bali, centres around the restaurant and bar Single Fin. Located on the top of the cliff, enjoy panoramic views out over the famous surf breaks, making for mesmerizing viewing. The place opens in the morning and serves up fruit-filled acai bowls from their in-house ‘Nalu Bowls’ outpost, with people getting their caffeine fix from the ‘Revolver Espresso’ stand. Late afternoon, turning into evening is the best time to come here. Crack open an ice-cold Bintang beer while watching the serious surfers at play, while the sun sets as the backdrop. Time you trip here to coincide with their ‘Sunday Sessions’ where they bring in amazing bands and DJs from around the world to play to the sun-kissed crowd. Single Fin is a great place to come with a group of friends, and also to meet other like-minded folk on their travels." - Anna Chittenden

12 Best Beach Clubs in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"Single Fin has mushroomed since its humble beginnings, in 2007, into more than 20,000 square feet of party space. The bilevel club has a pool deck cantilevered over a cliff above one of surfing’s spiritual homes: Uluwatu beach. You can’t say you’ve seen Bali until you’ve surfed—or at least swum—by Uluwatu’s tidal cove. Afterwards, watch the sun sink into the Indian Ocean from the island’s biggest balcony." - Xerxes Cook

Perfect spot to watch surfers and enjoy the sun. I went around noon on a weekend and most tables were full. Tip-I recommend sitting on the edge bar tables, it’s MUCH breezy here than the shaded areas! Plus we did not expect hot food menus to be this decent tasting knowing the popularity of this spot, but all menus were surprisingly tasty. Highly recommend, and would def revisit in the future💯

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Single Fin Bali is one of Uluwatu’s most iconic cliffside spots — a perfect place to enjoy ocean views, good vibes, and a laid-back surf culture. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of energy, especially around sunset, when the entire place glows with golden light over the waves. You can literally sit for hours just watching surfers ride below while sipping a drink. The food is fresh and flavourful, especially the poke bowls — beautifully presented, generous in portion, and filled with bright ingredients like avocado, tuna, cucumber, and edamame. The menu offers a nice balance between healthy options and comfort food, making it easy to find something satisfying whether you’re here for brunch or dinner. The service was friendly, though it can be a bit slow during busy hours. Staff were helpful and welcoming, but with the large crowd, it sometimes took extra time to get drinks or settle the bill. Still, the relaxed island pace fits the overall beach vibe. The ambience is absolutely the highlight — music, view, and ocean breeze come together to create that perfect Bali moment. Whether you’re coming for sunset drinks or a lazy afternoon meal, Single Fin captures the essence of Uluwatu’s chill, carefree lifestyle. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bali’s southern cliffs.

Keep coming back to Single Fin for the amazing views, chilled atmosphere, great food, cooldown in the awesome edgless swimming pool overlooking the surf with Java in the distance! What a spot! Our waiter Ardi was so friendly and kind! 5 stars for everything and we'll surely be back!

My gf and me visited this bar for a drink and to enjoy the magnificent sunset views. Once there, we discovered a large pool where you can swim while waiting for the sunset. If you arrive a couple of hours early, you can even relax by the pool’s edge facing the ocean for a front-row view. Personally, though, I’d recommend sitting at one of the tables further back, as they offer a more complete panoramic perspective. There’s no entrance fee and no minimum order, which makes this place a fantastic option. On the second floor, you’ll also find a restaurant.

Single Fin Bali – Honest Review Came here mainly for the views, and to be fair, they delivered. The place looks straight out over the ocean and cliffs – properly stunning, especially around sunset. That’s the main reason to come here, and it’s worth it just for that. Food was good – not life-changing, but tasty and decent quality. No complaints on flavour. The downside was how long it took to arrive. It wasn’t a quick bite; it felt like a bit of a wait, so don’t come here starving and expecting fast service. Drinks were good too – easy to enjoy a couple while you’re just taking in the view. Overall: came for the views, stayed for the vibes. Food and drinks are solid, but be prepared to wait a bit for your food.

Had an amazing dining experience at Single Fin! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet lively — perfect for a casual meal with friends or a sunset dinner. We ordered: 🌶️ Spicy Edamame Beans – a surprising favorite! Full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. Addictive and perfectly seasoned. 🍍 Pineapple Smoked Beef Pizza – creative and smoky, with a nice balance of sweetness from the pineapple and savory richness from the beef. 🐔 Chicken Quesadilla – cheesy, crispy, and loaded with tender chicken. Great comfort food. 🐟 Tuna Poke – super fresh and light, with a lovely balance of soy, sesame, and citrus flavors. A special shoutout to Eni, who provided outstanding service — friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend Single Fin for anyone looking for great food, beautiful views, and excellent service. #Uluwatu#Bali#

Very great atmosphere and amazing food. We ordered a mushroom pizza and a chicken quesadilla and they were very very yummy! We also used the pool which was nice overlooking the ocean. The only comments I have is that we wanted to use one of the pool beds and the staff refused saying none of them is empty. Despite seeing that a bunch of them was already empty (or maybe already reserved), the staff won’t let you know when one of the beds gets empty you have to keep asking them every while which is a bit annoying. I recommend trying to reserve one of the beds in advance if you plan to use them. There is a minimum spend of 250k per person if u use the small pool beds and 500k per person for the large beds. Also the waiter brought us the bill before we even asked for it which I think wasn’t very polite of him.

I’ve been to Single Fin a few times already, and it’s always a great spot to bring visiting families and friends to watch the surfers. Sitting on the restaurant deck feels like being on a tribune with an incredible view. As a local who looks distinctly Indonesian, I always feel genuinely welcome. The staff are friendly and sometimes even take the time to chat with me. Highly recommended for both the atmosphere and the hospitality.
