This is an awesome spot with all sorts of beautiful views of the lake and some absolutely wonderful exhibits inside the small building. They have some great exhibits in there which talk about Mount Mazama and exactly how Crater Lake from it. It's quite educational, and if you have kids with you this is a great place to bring them!! There are some great, unique views from the observation deck as well. You go down some stairs from the room to get to this place, so you have a slightly lower review than you would normally get which is kind of cool and unique. Good views of Phantom Ship, Wizard Island and some of the other formations in the distance. This spot is one of my favorite spots in Rim Village, and I try to stop in every time I'm here and it's open.

What can you say really....it's absolutely breathtaking!! Was fairly busy and parking was full, we came early and managed a spot, but folks showing later were not as lucky( although one was because he got ours)

From here there is an excellent view of the crater, there is a lot of space to take photos of beautiful views of the water and around.

Went on June 19th, 2025 there was an ice storm chasing us so we didn't have much time to hike or see everything, I see why they open more up during July but at least we go to go before all of the new construction projects heading their way.

It's a short walk down the stairs from the parking lot. You can get great views of Crater Lake from here. It is absolutely breathtaking! The viewing area is covered and has a semicircle viewing area.

Stunning even on a smoky day due to some fires nearby. Arrived at 830am and was peaceful with little traffic but room with details on how the crater was formed opens at 930am with a park ranger available for questions. Short walk from the lodge and gift shop so was happy to visit a second time with the fam since everyone was still sleeping for the first visit.

Next to the Rim Village Visitor Center. It offers a great view of the crater lake.

The perfect place to get the best pictures (in my opinion)!!! It's a quick little walk down some stairs into a shaded observation deck. It's not far from Rim Village visitor center and Cafe. It does get crowded so get there early, unless you don't mind crowds.
