It's a short walk down the stairs from the parking lot. You can get great views of Crater Lake from here. It is absolutely breathtaking! The viewing area is covered and has a semicircle viewing area.

Stunning even on a smoky day due to some fires nearby. Arrived at 830am and was peaceful with little traffic but room with details on how the crater was formed opens at 930am with a park ranger available for questions. Short walk from the lodge and gift shop so was happy to visit a second time with the fam since everyone was still sleeping for the first visit.

Probably the most crowded area of the park. Great views of wizard island, phantom ship, and much of the lake. 3D map of the area and interpretive exhibits built in.

It was absolutely stunning. Drive was a bit scary at times so go slow. Views are spectacular every way you look. Go early you can spend all day

The perfect place to get the best pictures (in my opinion)!!! It's a quick little walk down some stairs into a shaded observation deck. It's not far from Rim Village visitor center and Cafe. It does get crowded so get there early, unless you don't mind crowds.

It's a small hike to get there with well laid pathway and stairs. The view of the crater lake is simply stunning. Lot of information about the lake is also available at this Memorial.

Beautifully lookout point that appears to be built of stone. Very neat!

Even in a smokey environment due to forest fires, Crater Lake is spectacular. Sinnott station is a great place to take in the views. There is a short gentle hike to a viewing area where you can also see a 3d model of the area, great for kids. The shore seems close, though a steep drop, hence you can see the layers of blue clearly. Bring a pair of binoculars. All in all, Crater Lake is special. We love going there. So many places as you drive/hike around the Rim to be totally away from people.
