Loved the coffee shop and would give it another chance! I wasn’t a fan of the Mexican Mocha, tasted like chocolate cinnamon water. But I loved the menu variety and the signature drink options. Great seating area.

Google
Sip Coffeebar is a delightful place - with bright and whimsical decor. Barista, Iza, was wonderful - charming, patient and efficient. The sandwiches are delicious and the iced lattes seemed especially delicious! They also offer soup, homemade cookies and much more. Indoor and outdoor seating options are great for warm, sunny days.

Google
Recently discovered this hidden gem tucked in the corner by the river. Low key, modern, welcoming - it very well fits the character of the neighborhood. What is also special about this place is their generous pricing - one of the most customer friendly pricing in town I have seen. There are many types of seats and tables available for having a sandwich or reading a book or working on a laptop. Yet another great find.

Google
I went for the first time today on 11/10 and did a pick up order. The app only let's you order 4 things at a time I found out but the barista said you could simply just put in 2 orders, I'm surprised I didn't think of that myself but a tip if you want more then 4 things when you order online. Everything was ready in a timely manner and was very good. I would reccomend the mexican mocha, it was actually kind of spicy and very awesome! The only thing was when I picked it up at the time the app directed me to, the whip cream was all melted down and at the time I thought it was extra for whip but it wasn't but just my husbands latte with almond milk there was an upcharge but none the less it is nice the have your drink on to the top when you pick up so I asked nicely for the barista to put on whip before I left and they did. Thanks again! My husband wished there was meat in the breakfast burrito I found out when I went home to never order him one without meat again. 😳🤣

Google
Great coffee shop near the river. Close to 1029 if you’re familiar with the area. Full coffee menu, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and a clean welcoming environment. Staff was friendly and prompt. We noted the modern atmosphere/furniture and numerous plants around the shop, on the floors, walls, shelves, etc! We’d recommend it and will be back!

Google
I love Sip for multiple reasons: The food is great, the people are kind, and they are very engaged in the community. Very stoked to give me money to a shop that is living symbiotically with their community.

Google
Nice little quant coffee shop tucked away in Minneapolis. Had a nice setup inside. I had a little issue with ordering and they were very kind and took care of me. Just little things that go a long way. I appreciated that and would go back.

Google
Great cold brew and cute coffee shop! They had various food and drink options. There was no one else in there around 11am on a Saturday.

Yelp
Super cute space and super kind staff. My WiFi went out at home and I came over to work and it was wonderful. I'm loving the vibe and there's plenty of street parking! The chicken salad wrap is pretty good and creamy. The matcha latte could be a bit sweeter, but pretty good overall. I'm definitely planning to come back to get more things on the menu.

Yelp
Our #urbansketchers group met here prior to dispersing to sketch. We packed the place on a Saturday late morning. Staff was wonderful. I ordered a latte and it was steamy hot and tasty. They had several indoor areas to connect (we took over most). The wall of plants caught my eye so that is my pic. It's near the Grain Belt Brewery complex which is full of amazing architecture. It's also close to a park with sculptures, equally cool.

Yelp
A great NE Minneapolis coffee stop! The drinks are good and they have a variety of food as well! Right now they have some fall specialty drinks and the maple cinnamon latte was really great!

Yelp
Great cold press and cute coffee shop! They had various food and drink options. There was no one else in there around 11am on a Saturday. Ample free street parking.

Yelp
How have I not been to Sip before?? I finally found myself in this cute cafe near the old Grain Belt buildings is a treat. It's by Bunny's in the Art District. It's a great space with a variety of seating-- an assortment of tables, a lounge at the front with planters in the background, and a lounge in the back with an area for the kiddos to boot. I was pleasantly surprised with how many food and drink options they offer. You can get sandwiches, hot soup, smoothies, lots of caffeinated drinks, pastries and they also have a lot of great gluten free options. I got the miel (honey) latte and a gluten and dairy free vanilla donut with raspberry icing. I thought the donut was fantastic and didn't feel like I was "missing out" on any gluten or dairy. The latte was way too sweet for my taste, but I look forward to trying one of their many other options next time. The free wifi works like a charm too!

Yelp
A quality cup of coffee and a delightful breakfast sandwich (it was pressed like a panini! So good) makes this spot enjoyable! But the slightly moody staff might leave you feeling a little awkward after your stop. Decent parking to be able to pop in and grab a good cup of coffee to go.

Yelp
Talk about the other side of the tracks. Sip is tucked away in a former industrial/warehouse section of the city that is being renovated as is much of N.E. In the Community Keg House which is still filling with businesses. Sip is a modern, sleek coffeebar with the usual amenities. The dark roast was extra robust with a lingering aftertaste which is a good thing. This is a quiet place for study and talking with friends with ample comfortable seating. There is a nice selection of pastries which I'll have to try someday.

Yelp
As someone who is gluten free, I always get so excited when I go out and find lots of options and with this place I hit the jackpot! They had doughnuts, cookies, muffins, and scones, coffee, tea, smoothies and everything looked great! If you are in need of lunch, they had a good sandwich menu (all of which can also be made GF) that would satisfy everyone's liking. I got a GF doughnut but it was great, I can't wait to go back and try all of there other bakery items and lunches! This coffee shop is located right in Minneapolis' art district so the atmosphere was fun!

Yelp
I absolutely love their Cafe Miel. It has the taste of sweet honey and cinnamon that is just so delicious and comforting! If I don't get that one I get a Caramel Latte or a Mocha. When I brought my daughter to her Saturday dance class at Straighline Dance Fitness, I discovered Sip Coffeebar which is in the same building. It has a very large space, with decent seating and high ceilings. The food selection is good too. The baristas are always nice and friendly and they make it a treat to go get a coffee while we wait for class to start. I like how there is a play area for the kids and a shelf of toys they can play with. The restrooms are located in the basement, and you have to walk down a flight of dodgy looking stairs to get there but it's all good. The building is also home to many local arts and craft shops, which is very fitting since this is right in the heart of the Northeast Arts District. Lovely area, great coffee shop, and cool vibe. I make it my Saturday latte spot!
google avatar

Angela K.

Yelp
This coffee shop may be hard to find if you didn't know where it was but it's definitely worth the search. The chill lighting and the aesthetic is there but I feel like they could use art work on the walls being that it's in the art district. The coffee is good as well as the food, especially the baked goods. In all a clean tidy tucked away shop, I would recommend it!

Claire W.

Yelp
Great coffee, food, smoothies, and service!!! I had a chicken salad wrap and they wrapped all of the salad in lettuce before the tortilla- this is a small detail to point out but it keeps the tortilla from getting soggy. Also, they helped me to my car with my to-go lunch order as I wrangled my daughter which makes them angels.
google avatar

Caroline P.

Yelp
I work nearby and come here pretty regularly for coffee and/or lunch. They have a pretty good selection of food and great coffee. Baristas are all very friendly. I don't recommend their bagel sandwiches as they're pre-made and when they're heated up the bagel can get soggy since its not pre-toasted. Some of their sandwiches can be very bread heavy. Overall though, this place has never let me down. One random thing about this place is that they have THE BEST BRAN MUFFINS EVER! Seriously. I've tried some of their other muffin but their bran is definitely their best. I'm not a big bran muffin person, but this place has converted me- but only theirs. If you're thinking of a treat with your coffee, get the bran muffin.

Yelp
Good coffee, very slow service. There was only one staff member working on Saturday. It took 30 minutes to get an order in and another 10 minutes for our order to be prepared. They were sold out of quiche. The breakfast burrito was bomb.com.

Yelp
Nice little place tucked in behind the Pierre-Bottineau Library in NE Minneapolis! Comfortable seating whether at a table or cozy chairs and couches. I tried the Turkey Chèvre Panini, which was delicious and filling, and a cup of African Dream tea, which was a wonderful rooibos tea (herbal). Sip is not easy to see from the road, but if you turn off next to the old Grain Belt Brewery, it's easy to find. Worth the trip, especially if spending some time at the library and need a break.

Yelp
It was a rainy day in MN, and SiP was the perfect cozy spot to spend the afternoon sipping warm drinks and doing some work with the lovely Annie D. The barista working was super friendly and made me the yummiest "hot white chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows" I've ever had... Not that I have "hot white chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows" that often, but hey, I'm pregnant and wanted to treat myself! SiP has a great selection of coffee and tea drinks as well. It's clean, they have free wi-fi, and I see they are now open until 8pm... bonus for those who live nearby. My only (minor) complaint is that the restroom is kind of a far walk down some stairs, etc... not a big deal at all, but when you're pregnant and have to go several times an hour, it's not so convenient. The bathroom, however is clean and has multiple stalls. At least I worked off a few of those hundreds of calories I drank while hanging at SiP with my walks to the ladies room. Bottom line: awesome coffeebar - I'm a huge fan after just one visit and would definitely be a frequent visitor if I lived nearby.

Yelp
Another great Northeast neighborhood gem. Friendly staff, nice menu, good coffee and free wifi. My salted caramel latte was great today. I could actually taste the salt, which is a big plus in my book. SIP's coffee of the day is also always good. Adequate selection of light sandwiches and sweets. Only two sofas, so if you're looking to lounge a while, it's hit or miss on grabbing one. Bottom Line: everything you want or need in a neighborhood coffee shop, smiles included.

Yelp
Great little spot for coffee and a quick breakfast. The staff is sooo friendly and they love dogs! I'd recommend stopping by for some delicious coffee.

Yelp
SO CUTE! I didn't even know this place was here, but sooo cute! It is a local coffee shoppe and adorable! The coffee was delicious and the selection of bakery goods was decent. I had the Bread Pudding muffin, which was amazing! Very filling where it was part breakfast and saved for a snack in the afternoon, and they were not dry!!! YUM! I think this is a great little cafe with cute decor and personality. I will be back to support this coffee shop!

Yelp
I was in the area and wanted a place to grab a latte and do some reading, and Google Maps suggested Sip. I'm so glad I stopped in! The space feels very open, and the decor is clean and modern. The couch by the window was a comfy place to settle in for a few hours. The barista suggested I try the Café Miel latte, which I really enjoyed. It was delicious and tasted like a graham cracker! I absolutely loved that I could just get half a sandwich wrap, which was a reasonable price. At most coffee shops, they make you cough up the dough for an entire sandwich that is just too big to eat in one sitting, forcing you to choose whether to rush your leftovers home, or waste food while you relax at the coffee shop. At Sip, I got a latte, half a sandwich, and a pastry all for less than $10. Great coffee, great food, great value. I look forward to going back!

Yelp
Yawn. Oh, sorry but this fun looking coffee shop was a bore. The cheese sandwich was good (but PLAIN), the coffee was well coffee. The blended drink was good but TINY for the amount of $$ cash it cost. I would skip this place and try somewhere else that wasn't as spendy $$
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite place for good coffee NE. I often stop by on my way to work. Lately I've been craving their breakfast sammy with ham, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. They warm it and press it in the panini press- so good! With the weather, I've been moving back to hot drinks. Their turtle mocha is glorious and rich without being too sweet. Thanks, dark chocolate! Today I tried the Mexican Mocha- dark chocolate with cayenne and cinnamon. Yum! Such a warming drink. Will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Somewhat modern and sparse decor in a renovated old building. Nice choice of different types of mochas. Limited seating along the street, which is shaded in the morning. The barrista had a great personality.

Alex W.

Yelp
Every time I am down here, I try to visit this place. They're great and very responsive to questions.
google avatar

Yelp
Ok, last update for this place, promise! It couldn't be helped as I went from a 1-2 times a monther to 1-2 times a weeker. I've branched out from my usual quinoa and cold press. In fact, it's been awhile since I've had the quinoa as I'm currently enamored with their soups and sandwiches. I've had the roast beef and provolone, made with their own house pesto, the veggie wrap, and a couple of the "sandwich of the day". I've yet to have a soup I haven't liked, and they make them fresh every day. Check their Facebook, they usually post what the soup + sandwich of the day are. They also have a couple salads, chefs and I think a spinach salad with craisins. Usually a cold pasta in the display case next to the quinoa. I've been eying both of these and have been on the fence, but the desire for a hot bowl of soup is usually too hard to pass up. Someday when I'm not running late for work, I'll make it here for breakfast
google avatar

Karla L.

Yelp
The ladies that work are super nice! They have great oatmeal. And the latte was good! Will be back

Joseph G.

Yelp
I literally created an account and this is the first review I've ever written on anything. This was the most overpriced, awful, gross espresso and muffins I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. Worse than Starbucks, worse than a Holiday gas station.

Bryan H.

Yelp
I love there iced mocha soo good. The bagels and burritos are awesome. And the Carmel Spritzer is also good.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
The website looked great so we gave Sip a try. Not impressed at all! The barista/counter attendant was not friendly, personable or helpful. The almond milk latte was not good at all...the milk tasted old and it hardly had any coffee flavor. The atmosphere was nothing to right home about. Furniture had crumbs on them.

Harry L.

Yelp
Very good, pretty cheap, very friendly and simple coffee bar with many sandwich options, including half sandwiches for half price... and Gluten free and vegetarian options as well. It is what I want from a cafe.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I was on my way to another business in the building when I found this coffee shop. I had a Mexican mocha which was different but delicious. I also had an almond poppy seed muffin which was exceedingly delicious and very moist. I will be back next time I am on my way through the area!
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
Better than average baristas and better than average coffee. Better than average atmosphere and better than average sandwiches. Hooray! The prices were fair and comparable with other coffee shops. My only wish for Sip, like many of the other reviewers, is that they stay open later. They close around 3:30 p.m., and I don't know about you, but that's when I really get into my groove. Workus interruptus. The location by the Grainbelt Bottling House is off the main drag just a bit (and over some rickety railroad tracks). You can either park on the street or in the lot across the street for free if you drive. The atmosphere is clean, colorful and modern, with a few tables for working or chatting, and a lounge-type area for reading. The few tables outside aren't anything spectacular, but if you need to be outdoors, they are there for you. Sip has this library shelf on wheels that you can borrow from (or donate to, I suppose). I love the idea!!!
google avatar

Alexandra H.

Yelp
I'm happy to have spent a leisurely afternoon at SiP. It's neatly tucked away next to the Grainbelt building in NE, and judging from the numerous stop-ins, it's clearly appreciated (and frequented) by regulars...and for good reason: The baristas are uber-friendly. Beyond the standard "Hello, what can I get for you?" they asked how my day was going and commented on my hair. Aw, shucks. They also made a dang good Cafe Miel. When I ordered I was concerned that I might have overdone it considering I had just devoured dark chocolate in my car, but it was perfect and definitely earned the Alex H. stamp of approval! The space is decorated boldly in teals, reds and browns and I am pretty sure I've spotted most of the furniture at Ikea--making for a cool, urban atmosphere. Although I appreciate that they're brave enough to splash the place with some serious color, I have to say that it isn't the most cozy environment to hang out in--nothing to do with the baristas, of course--but the seating just isn't comfortable, especially if you're looking to plant yourself for an extended period of time. I agree with Jennifer K. on this one--when I'm back in the area I'll stop in, but I'm not sure it'll be a go-to hang out.
google avatar

Marianna G.

Yelp
Sip! Sip! You are so good. First off, guys, did you know that Sip makes totally delicious quiches and other breakfast goodies? I did not, until I went out on a limb and called them when I was in need of a big breakfast to transport all the way to my office in the 'burbs. I was shocked when the girl on the phone replied, "Yeah! We can do that." Oh yeah, I was giving them a whole day heads up, which isn't exactly a lot of time when I'm ordering three quiches. I went by to pick up my quiches and fruit, and they had them all warm (the quiches, anyway!) and ready to go. I also ordered two jugs of coffee, and the cups, cream, sugar, napkins, etc. were all packed up for me, too. It was such a smooth experience, AND right in my 'hood. Okay, but the food. Like I said. So. Good. We got one quiche with veggies like broccoli and onion with cheese, one with bacon and cheese, and one of a bit of everything. They were amazing! Everyone was raving, after a long period of silence wherein we were shoving the food into our mouths and unable to speak. The fruit was fresh and a flavorful assortment of all the usual suspects (berries, melon). And the coffee! I ordered the dark roast for my crew, and was so happy when someone asked what "FTO" stood for on the box. Why, fair-trade organic, of course! Not only is the coffee delicious, but I could feel good about buying it (and teaching my co-workers a thing or two!). Sip is also a fun place to sit down with a laptop or another real-life human being and hang out for a while. There are tables up front by the window, but there's also a sweet little couch area in the back that makes you feel like you're chatting in your own living room. The Cherry Almond Latte is ridiculously good, but I have a total crush on all things cherry-almond. The latte was a lot less sweet than I was anticipating, but added the perfect bit of sweet + nutty to the espresso. The Miel is also delicious; I get mine made light on the honey to avoid a saccharin experience. Let's get down to it. Sip is awesome. They cater, they do coffee, they do just about everything, and they do it well. Sure, sometimes there is a plethora of hipsters hanging out with their laptops and making me feel like 27 is granny-age, but that isn't Sip's fault. They also do sandwiches, pastries, yogurt + granola, and lots of other nosh, so be prepared to want it all!

Yelp
Have you seen the movie Drive? You know, where Ryan Gosling completely wins you over, despite never learning his character's name and the insane violence he deals his enemies? It feels like SiP came straight out of that movie. It has an LA-throwback-neon-metallic-stark-vibe, which is more of a curse than a blessing, in my book. I just don't see myself getting really comfortable in SiP, which for me is the primary measuring stick of any coffeeshop. Perhaps my tastes are too traditional, but the bright red chairs and blue-striped walls were jarring for me. Very little personality here. As others have said, the baristas are gracious, and the coffee was good. The hours are odd; for instance, they close at 2 PM on Saturday's. There was nothing memorable enough to draw me back, unless I lived within half a mile or so.
google avatar

Carrie W.

Yelp
SiP is that little secret place that hardly anyone knows about. Don't let the modern decor phase you, this place is cozy and nestled right into the Keg House (near the old Grain Belt Brewery). They have tables, comfy couches, and snugly chairs. The baristas are the nicest ones in town! At first, they give you the impression that they're just happy to see more people come in. I'm not sure they get too much traffic. However, it's a gem of a place! I've never had a bad experience from when I started going and since I've gone regularly. The espresso is pretty good. Let's just say I don't remember the last time I've had bad shots there. It's not thee best in town, but I would compare it to Dunn Bros. My favorite is their coldpress! It's excellent and my favorite way to start the day. Their bakery items are TOO DIE FOR! You can tell they bake everything themselves. So tasty! Overall, they know what they're doing and I've consistantly been happy with their beverages. Pastries will hook you in and the help will win your heart! Watch out!
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
Well, I went to SiP because of its stellar reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience. The shop is small--which isn't necessarily a bad thing-- but it looks like a temporary space decorated by Ikea. It has no homey feel. (Of course this is probably strengthened by the fact that it's surrounded by warehouses). I frequent coffee shops because I never get any work done at home and something about the coffee shop atmosphere helps me get stuff done. On this particular visit, I went to read for an hour or two. I'm not usually affected by noise. People coming and going is more pleasing than distracting. Unfortunately, though, the baristas at SiP were INSANELY LOUD. They were clanging what sounded like pots and pans for 10 MINUTES. Because the place is so small, despite being behind a wall it was crazy loud. I considered leaving right then. This was followed by piling the trashbags in front of my table, leaving them there, and then dragging them outside later. The baristas were nice otherwise, but I probably wouldn't go back unless I was in the neighborhood. The atmosphere and noise--despite the fact that it might have just been this instance-- were not worth the trip. For those who really do like SiP, though, you will be happy to hear they are now open until 8:00pm on weeknights!
google avatar

Emma H.

Yelp
My time here started with a wise purchase of a mocha smoothie. I realize an over caloried drink probably shouldn't be on my menu but was such a wise choice. Might be the best I've had. As I sipped this morning jump starter, I looked around at the contemporary decor and finely painted green and brown color scheme. The Beatles and some other acoustic bands played in the background as I surfed the web. The barista was pleasant, patient and wearing a super cute sun dress. It was not over or under crowded. The perfect amount of people weave in and out, never causing a sense of the daily grind rush.
google avatar

Mon P.

Yelp
The staffs are really nice here and they make killer drinks. I dont normally drink coffee, but I almost finished a whole latte here. The food here is also decent. Unlike other reviewers, the one thing that I DO NOT LIKE at all about this place is the decor. This place gives me a cold and very hygiene-hospitalized-industrialized feeling. It's not comfortable feeling. This is not a place where I want to hang out, relax and do some reading or some work, but I will definitely stop back here again if in the area for some killer drinks.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
This little place is tucked away in Northeast- so tucked away, I'm not even sure how people know about it! But great news, free parking. So...coffee isn't awesome. Not terrible, just not awesome. They do have a great space though for business meetings, or getting work done. It's pretty quiet. Another perk is that they have a pretty large food menu with sandwiches, baked goods, salads, etc. I haven't tried any, but I always like having real food options, not just a packaged muffin and some vinegar chips.
google avatar

Ch H.

Yelp
Just arrived now. Nice, quite, tucked away place. Here to work and WiFi password was given without the feeling of, "oh, your gonna work here" by the barista. Struck up a brief convo and now working. Might be back tomorrow.
google avatar

Travis B.

Yelp
SiP is a great little coffee shop up in northeast Minneapolis in the old Grain Belt campus. Their coffee options are quite good and reasonable, and there are other options from smoothies to cans of pop for those that don't want to take the coffee route. They also offer a good selection of sandwiches (both halves and whole), soups, as well as snacks like cookies and brownies and so on. The staff here is great as well; helpful if you're a bit indecisive and very friendly as well. My only realy complaint might be that the interior could maybe use a little bit of a boost. The seating isn't the best and the decor is somewhat lacking as well, but none of these things are dealbreakers by any stretch. Overall I definitely recommend this little shop if you're looking for a good spot for lunch or just a cup of coffee.
google avatar

Rachel V.

Yelp
Stopped in for a Cafe Miel. Cute little shop in a beautiful area. Love the GF and organic options and will be going back for a superfood smoothie!
google avatar

Aaron D.

Yelp
I went here because I had a coupon. I thought the food was reasonably priced for a coffee shop (and well within the realm of normal prices with a 50% off coupon). The barista was nice, friendly, and much better than the average one I've met, so I tipped her, even though I'm generally a stingy old coot.
google avatar

Katrina O.

Yelp
Decided to come back a second time and try the quiche lorraine which is just as delicious as the spinach and tomato quiche! I had a chai tea latte which I did enjoy a lot more than the mexican mocha. There's just something about a chai tea latte that makes me feel so comforted and relaxed! I decided to try the bread pudding muffin even though I didn't have a great muffin experience the first time and i'm glad I did! This muffin was a teensy bit dry but my latte helped wash it down. It had good flavor and nice plump raisins! I like to get here within the first hour of them opening so it's nice and peaceful and I can enjoy a little reading on my kindle to go along with breakfast!
google avatar

Joshua W.

Yelp
Fast and delicious. Guy made my latte up in no time at all, if I had more than $10 on me at the time I would have got one of the homemade cookies or bars. They looked good enough to gain 10 lbs. just from imagining them entering your mouth.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
The building I work in a little more than a mile down the street but offers few nearby options for breakfast and lunch if you don't want fast food. Our office was looking for catering options and we came across Sip. Stopped by to check it out and I am excited to go back. The coffee bar is not hidden but not in an overly obvious place so it was quiet and calm and easy parking. The decor is modern and the menu boards are beautiful! They offer a nice variety of sandwiches (breakfast and lunch), bars, and pastries. Ordered an ice coffee and it was good. The barista was friendly and assisted us with the catering details without getting annoyed with our many questions. I am happy I found this coffee bar. I think I will become a regular!

Yelp
I'd say this was a great addition to NE, but apparently it's been around for a few years. I'd say I don't know how I missed it, but it's hidden in the Grain Belt complex, which isn't someplace I go since I don't have a studio or work for RSP (although I do like to gawk at the Brewhouse and pretend it's my castle). I'm glad I finally found Sip, location notwithstanding. The decor is perfect for a coffee shop, because it's somehow calming. The chair situation is not ideal - I'd like to see a couch or two. And for some reason they're WIFI hasn't worked the last two times I've been in. Fortunately, you can pick up a pretty strong signal from who-knows-where most of the time (linksys). The coffee is better than decent and they have nice teas. The sandwiches are tasty as well. I understand why it's not open past 4 - they must get 90% of their business from people who work in the Grain Belt complex - but it might become more of a neighborhood joint if they did try for evening hours. We yet don't get much in the way of late night coffee in Nordeast. Anybody? Anybody?

Yelp
What a find! I have lived 2 blocks away for 2 years, never knew it was there. Sip has an excellent array of coffee for even the most sophisticated coffee drinker. Also, they have a great choice of hand made breakfast and lunch fares, not to mention dessert! I make up reasons to go here now, I wish they were open on Sundays.

Yelp
My mom and I went to Sip today at the recommendation of our banker at North East Community Bank (a great bank, btw). We walked up the stairs of a building behind the historic brewery in North East and were delightfully surprised by the chic appearance of Sip. Cool vases adorn one wall as you enter and the rest of the place, with cement floors, is sparse. I immediately wanted to know when there were spoken word and music performances there...then I saw that they closed early...OK... My mom and I order lunch, she an egg salad sandwich and I got a curry chicken wrap. My wrap was good. Too much lettuce (so, being a Yelper, I trimmed the tortilla and doubled up the chicken and had the sandwich I want!) and the curry itself was pretty good. A little more spice would be OK. Tortilla was really good. Then there was my mom's egg salad sandwich. We could have had a conversation had she stopped RAVING about the fresh multi grain bread and the yummy egg salad. I also had the blanco chili that was SUPER good. White beans that weren't over cooked and an unbeatable white chili flavor. Yum! My mom went back to get a snicker doodle and I had a cafe miel for dessert. Small espresso drinks are still $2.95, but very good. I love seeing cafe miels! And a nutella espresso? If I have time I'll go back for one of those... Great place in the corner of Mpls. Great ambiance and really good light lunch. All in all it cost us $17 for the whole kit and caboodle. Not too bad!
