6 Interactive Culinary Experiences to Try in Charleston
"Sip History explores Charleston’s historical connection to wine and spirits during two hours of storytelling and hands-on bartending in a speakeasy setting, where I learned to make three cocktails—past menus have featured a classic Daiquiri, an Aviation, and a Southside—enjoyed light snacks, and left with recipe cards to recreate the drinks at home. Sessions run in the afternoon, cost about $80 per person plus gratuity, and blend history with practical bartending instruction." - Lauren Mowery
Moved to Charleston from Philadelphia with my wife three years ago and we’ve been trying many of the local experiences/excursions. This is one of the best for many reasons. Tommy is insanely knowledgeable about the drinks and history but more importantly he’s funny and makes the two hour cocktail class fly by! My wife and friends went for my wife’s birthday and we had an amazing night! Highly recommend!

Jack absolutely killed this experience. Provided great history behind prohibition and the history of cocktails. Also, the teaching of crafting cocktails was perfect. Highly recommend this experience. And also, the Alchemix mixes and bitters were amazing.

This was such an amazing cocktail class! I learned a lot, got to experience new drinks, and also had a fun time trying to make one of my own. Would definitely do this again. James was such a great teacher and host. P.S. dress for the weather (it’s an outside bar)
