Can't believe I had such a wonderful experience at such a low cost (and its even free on Sundays for locals)! Amazing garden laden with history, fauna and floral. Extensive wildlife in the form of birds just freely frolicking about. It felt like an amazing disconnect with nature and the water lillies definitely held the limelight. Will definitely go again.

Large garden/park, mainly trees & lacking in flowers. I had hoped, being a botanical garden, that there would be more flowers to admire. There were a few monuments missing as well; only the stand remained. The large Lily Pads were the main attraction. Recommend going in the morning when it isn't as hot. Thankfully, there is much shade, but it was still stifling at noon.

Lovely place to visit. Plenty of shaded pathways, ample benches and tables to rest or have a picnic. Diverse fauna and flora including giant tortoises and giant lilies. It's a good day for a stroll and some fresh air. The park is on good condition. Well worth it.

This was a lovely place to finish our day out trip. The gardens cover a large area and there is a lot to see. The map given at the beginning is really helpful to make sure you don't miss any important parts of the garden. Some of the flowers weren't quite in season but we don't think this impacts upon the extraordinary place that this is. It is worth it for a casual stroll around, especially if you are trying to escape the heat for a while. The large trees provide a lovely canopy from the sun!

The park is huge, perfect for a sunny day, but definitely come prepared! It can get pretty hot, so I recommend wearing long pants and sleeves to avoid the mosquitoes (I learned that the hard way). Don’t forget to bring a hat or umbrella for sun relief. The giant water lilies and the mansion are absolute highlights. It's a beautiful place you should definitely visit at least once while in Mauritius!

If you have plenty of time and wondering what to do, then go, you can get fresh air. Poor deers and turtles in defined areas. The map they give is hard to figure out. The giant lily leaves are interesting if you have never seen it before. At the car park there is an interesting coconut juice seller who speaks over 20 languages.

Nice experience when in Mauritius. It's the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Emisphere. A guide is nice to have (extra 75 rupees). The entrance is 300 rupees for an adult (~6 euros), but unfortunately when we went there, the ATM was not working, so make sure you have some cash.

Great place with much flora. We took a walk through the alleys which are mostly in shadow. You can see there very unique species of palms and many many more. Of you are lucky you will see a flower which lives for only 3 days.
