Can't recommend this hostel enough! In a quiet location out of the town centre but with super convenient tram links. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I really liked that they had a QR code with a list of restaurants/bars/tourist attractions etc. which made planning our days much easier. The food and drinks were great value and the bar and terraces are lovely spaces. The rooms and bathrooms were simple but very clean and comfortable. All in all, would definitely come back if I ever return to Prague!

I had a great 3 night stay at this hostel. I will break down different elements of my stay. ||Location: Quite far from city centre, would not be ideal to walk to and from daily. However public transport is less than a 2 minute walk from the hostel and super accessible. Ask staff for help regarding public transport and they will guide you. ||Staff: Really pleased with staff. All helpful and friendly and made some conversation. ||Rooms: I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. It is all single beds and there is not much privacy. However the bed was comfortable and I managed to get good nights sleep. There is one bathroom between all in the room. Sockets near the bed which is a plus. ||Social aspect: There is a good bar downstairs in the hostel, during my stay it wasn’t open the first night as it’s only open Thursday - Sunday in quieter periods. This was a great way to meet people.||Things to note: |- shower gel not provided. |- if staying in 6 bed, all single beds.|- there is cooking facilities and places to store food.

Sir Toby’s is everything that is great in staying in a hostel in a new, grand city. Great vibe, well managed, well maintained, good location, and hospitality second to none.||While I am relatively introverted, I easily found myself socializing during evenings after finishing the day’s touring. A great diversity of fellow guests, mainly young but also old farts like me, men and women, travelers literally from all continents apart for Antarctica while I was there.

This is the best hostel I ever stayed at. I stayed in an all female dorm with 12 beds (4 bunk beds) and had a lot of privacy: each bed with its own curtains, shelf, socket and little lamp. They mopped the floors in the rooms and cleaned the toilets every day!! There is a hostel bar downstairs with good prices, a little garden that's open til 9:30PM, laundry room, luggage room, common kitchen and fridge and lots of bathrooms. The staff is super friendly and helpful and eager to solve any issue you might have (though I haven't encountered any during my stay there)

I was very disappointed with my stay. After requesting a lower bed for health issues, my request was denied. Doesn't matter insisting and clearly showing health issues. The room had a musty smell and I was given a second-floor bunk bed. The noise from the street made it hard to sleep, every 5 seconds there was a car going on the street and the windows couldn't be closed for air circulation. There were only three bathrooms for 24 beds, causing long waits. The service bathroom was cramped, and cherry on the cake I experienced bedbug bites during my stay. Additionally, the receptionist's attitude during checkout was frustrating. This was the worst €20 I've ever spent on a hostel. Never again.

I am shocked about behavior of staff. Nobody warning me that I can’t stay after my check out in the lounge are all day. Second of all, lounge area in hotels are public space. Just to remind to those unprofessionals. Receptionist kick me out from lounge area and automatically without warning he put me on the blacklist. Staff is unprofessional, fake, without clear communication which is typical for Czech Republic. Girl named Bara she trying to call police and kick me out for no reason. I was just protect myself and try to explain them all this situation is not fair. This is so rude put me on the blacklist and call police. Big problem is staff are young people without life and work experiences and they don’t know how to speak with people if there is problem like this. They are without empathy and emotions. Working like robots. If they are try to be nice and smile is all fake and pretending. Without any authenticity. I paid with the card for my next stay and then receptionist Bara discovered I am on the blacklist for ridiculous reason. She couldn’t give me money back on my card so she gave me money in cash. Like in some market or something.

Had a really great experience at this hostel. My first time in Prague and was greeted by a really nice receptionist named Devansh. Not only did he make my stay really pleasant, but he advised me about some places to stay and tourist attractions to visit. Couldn’t recommend staying here any more. Great place and great service

The bed wasn't really clean, and especially the shelf on the bank bed was really dirty. Also the smell of the room and the hallway in front of the rooms and bathrooms were not very pleasant. I sometimes stay in a hostel, so I can understand the cleanliness and smell, as well as the noise are quite depending on the people who stay at the same time, but I still think the bed and the surrounding environment could improve more. The welcome beer and the basement bar wasn't bad though. The price is reasonable.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in the front door, I was greater by Nunu & Klára, the sweetest people to meet in Prague! The both of them are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to anything you want to know. Thank you both for such a great and warm experience in Sir Toby's Hostel!

Yelp
Hostels can be tough to rate because everyone has different needs and wants. When my sister and I backpacked through Prague we were excited to check out the city and really delve into the local scene. We found Sir Toby's through some online research and were relieved to read such positive reviews. There's WIFI access, the rooms are clean, the hostel itself is cute and the staff is nice, and we loved the "club" below the hostel that operated as the breakfast room in the AM and a bar/hang out spot for guests in the evenings and at night. More affordable than most other hostels, the downside we found with Sir Toby's was just the location. Not too close to the center of the city, you're stuck needing to cab or take the train places to see the center of the city and the many tourist attractions. It wasn't an expensive or long ride, (make sure to get a week-long pass if you want to take the train for more than just a ride or two. It's the best way to get around!) but as young adults, we were really looking for more noise and activity. Because of the distance from downtown you don't get the ins/outs and hustle and bustle of people coming and going. And because of that, the atmosphere was less social and more quiet. Which is certainly good if you are looking for that! If you want to be somewhere that's walkable to more than some small shops, parks and grocery stores, this may not be the right spot for you. But it's cheap, it's clean and sometimes that's all you need!

Yelp
Alright, I'll start off by saying that, unfortunately, I don't remember any of the staff member's names. From the moment my friends and I walked in we were greeted by a warm and cheerful staff member. She promptly helped us and explained how the hostel works. After having arrived at 6am in Prague and spending the afternoon in the city, it was nice to be greeted by someone so lovely. We stayed in a 12-bed dorm. The walls and floor are wood so it gave the room a very cozy feeling. Aside from the difficulty in getting to the top bunk, I had no complaints for the room. Every bed has a curtain, an outlet, a small cubby, and a large cubby. Although the hostel is not centrally located, the tram which takes you to the metro is no more than a 5 minute walk away. We did some exploring in the neighborhood and found some cool restaurants. And the hostel if fairly close to Cross Club, the neighborhood's alternative dance club. Every night the staff has some sort of planned activity. The night we arrived they served us free crepes. They also had a movie night, a game night, and most importantly they had a free BBQ night on Saturday. That was definitely the best night. Everyone came out of their rooms to talk and eat the wonderful, free food. It was honestly the best hostel experience I've ever had!

Yelp
Richard at the front desk is the man! You just have to accept his airs of always being annoyed, really he's just being funny. I think. He puts on a great walking tour--he studied art history in college and if you're interested he'll go into detail on that. Prague has a very rich architectural history, with a ton of different historical styles all mixing together to make up the city. I would definitely suggest you try and get Richard talking about that. He can also tell you some neat stuff about the Holy Roman Empire/Charlemagne if you have some background on that. Very knowledgeable guy. The room, for the price, was great. It was 4 beds, none bunked, with a pretty huge amount of space for a hostel. Lockboxes under the bed. Window looking outwards, very nice decor in the room in general. Two such rooms shared a shower and toilet, I never had to wait on anyone. The downstairs bar is a great way to meet people. Beer is so cheap, there's no reason to not have a liter or two and make some friends before heading out. There's one big common table, which forces group discussions--I approve. They also had some hostel events like an outdoor barbecue, free pancakes (with nutella and jam yay!) at the bar--perfect with a few beers, a beer tasting (great value for the amount you drink and a great intro to Prague).

Yelp
Had an amazing experience! 6 of my girlfriends and I stayed here for three nights and loved the hostel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms are average. Make sure to bring your own soap and shampoo. There were free events such as a bar-b-q.

Yelp
Good and clean hostel. But check-in took 1 (!!!) hour, because Richard (staff member) first had to tell other guests very looooong how everything works. Also he is very rude and always annoyed!

Yelp
Super friendly staff, cool vibe, clean, great breakfast! Close to public transit options that connect you to anywhere in the city that you want to know. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of what the hostel had to offer!!
