"Drive 10 minutes from downtownChiang Maiand you’ll find the sanctuary of Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, a 104-room oasis of calm that feels light years away from the old city’s tourist throngs. The property is home to more than 1,000 species of tropical plants and flowers, as well as an orchard where you can pick your own fruit each morning. In addition to cooking classes and meditation courses, there’s a rice paddy that guests can help farm, and a traditional teak huen silp slah house that hosts art and cultural events. Perhaps most inviting of all, however, is the pool, a shimmering expanse studded with fragrant frangipani trees."

let's clarify my rating as we start. our stay was a 4* (out of 5) based on the cost (low season) vs. the facility itself. we appreciate the idea (private pool for our room albeit connected to other "private pools" (not accessible by other rooms of different grades). but that's where the "good idea" ends. we didn't anticipate (our fault) that all private pools are connected, therefore it's really not totally private. hence, you'd feel self-conscious moving around in that section, lurking outside of others' verandah? (that's not to incl. people on their balcony if rooms on the 2nd floor are occupied!). and the elephant in the room >> or ahem that's actually the mosquitoes as this is after all chiang mai, a city in the forest. you'd have the repellent fired up (and finish your private pool time before it stops) - or re-lit to extend. so much for privacy. at least our bed is comfortable, room is large and well appointed. it shows its age however with some mildew in the shower & the terry is well worn. the public rooms & pool are well decorated but need maintenance as well. location is good and away from the crowd in nimman IF you have your own transportation. staff is good, on par with other thai facilities. so in conclusion, if you can pay a 3* price range and are aware of the trade offs, i would recommend. but if you come in high season and the cost is up then this is not comparable to a 4* range like sofitel or upper wyndham or marriott or hilton. it's a solid 3* or at best 3.5*

What beautiful place this is. The staff here are so helpful. I booked in for 7days but extended my say for another 11 nights. If you are looking for relaxing place to unwind and refocus then get booking. The whole property is just beautiful same as the staff 😍. The spar and massages are relaxing and again the staff are beautiful and amazing. The hotel is so clean the food is out of this world. Gym on site not the biggest but does the job. Solo travel and the staff went above and beyond. I told them what I wanted to do and see and the dates I wanted to go they sort everything. Definitely 5 star 🌟. To the staff you all do a brilliant job and you all made me feel welcome. Hand on heart what a beautiful peaceful place. Much appreciated paul wood. 5 star 🌟

Great room style and environment but service?, it is not great for us. Loc is a bit off but understandable since the campus is too large, it might get to a little deep into small road. Overall 4 star by me, but if the service is great and if I use all the facilities offered, it might be 5 star

We stayed in this property from 09th August till 13th August 2025. The property is nice Thai style and it ends there only. During our stay, we experienced problems with the cleanliness of the room, broken shower handle, and a lack of necessary amenities very old and used slippers. We reported these issues to the Duty manager, but we did not receive any assistance or follow-up. This lack of response significantly impacted the quality of our stay and left us feeling quite disappointed. The breakfast was very average. Very limited option or no option. Please carry lot of Mosquito repellent. There is no pool attendant and no pool bar facility. The best part of this hotel is their staff and the Spa facility.

What a wonderful Hotel . The Staff are very welcoming friendly and extremely professional. The food in the buffet breakfast is great as is their dinner service as well . The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom and room amenities are fantastic. We booked extra days based on how much we enjoyed our stay . Please take a look we will be returning soon . :)

I spent 2 nights 2 rooms with my family. The atmosphere is pretty nice and a lot of trees. But the downside would be the mosquitoes which I mean big size of mosquitoes. that we can’t spend long time in the park of the hotel. What a pity. Swim pool is nice in term of design but the water is so green. We can’t see anything at all when we dived. Location is fine if you have car. Only 5 minutes drive to market or 20 minutes drive to Doi Suthep Area. Our room got pretty nice view of the cafe with the rice fields. But the air con was very old style that sometimes too warm but there is ceiling fan though. They should probably improve their gardens and do something to reduce number of mosquitoes. Staff at breakfast are very helpful, even help me finding BBQ pork for my son. Appreciated that.

We were already late and had to wait another 30 min to get one room ready and 1 hour for another room. Room service is not good at all, you will have to ask atleast twice. Pool was filled with spoiled leaves. Kids area looked very unmanaged and old. At this rate, it is better to stay near to old city.

Have stayed at Siripanna many times so obviously like it. The reviews reflect that it can be divisive. Located not far from the railway station in a quiet location that will suit some but not others. Service has always been good in my opinion and never had any major issues. The hotel is not modern but rooms are large in the main buildings and Internet good. It has large grounds with a lot of vegetation and thus mosquitos abound but the hotel has an active spraying programme to address this. Breakfast is very average but okay as are the buffets. Low season prices are attractive and it is easier to get a room. During peak season there are a lot of tours using the hotel and higher prices/Asian tour groups make it less attractive. Sound insulation in the rooms is not brilliant but only necessary when loud guests/groups are at the hotel. There is a very nice coffee shop in the grounds and a not inexpensive spa which met my wife’s approval. The tv signal for Thai travellers is not good and I travel with a tv box which I connect to the internet to keep my wife satisfied. There is ongoing work to maintain the hotel which has drawn criticism. Not the place for people wanting to be in the middle of the action in bright modern rooms. If you want somewhere peaceful and want a low rise more traditional hotel you should enjoy it.
