Extremely impressive complex of several specialized museums, including four (general medicine, pathology, forensic, parasitology) in that very same location. Very informative, bilingual, however, I don't think general visitors should find its display interesting and appealing, as some parts of it may look pretty shocking to those far from medicine, forensic or crime investigation. Photography is strictly prohibited inside museums. My photos shown here were made from museum entrances.

A little hard to review this place. It’s very informative but you need a strong stomach to go here. There is actually 3 museum and they cost 100 baht each. Free for Thai. All three museums have some interesting stuff but lots of dead bodies and babies in jars. So if you don’t mind seeing that this place is for you. It also has a bit of a hospital smell. I’ve added some pictures of the exhibit that are appropriate but not of the dead bodies inside, just be warned! Some pictures are of the other two museums, my favorite was the boat museum which has the largest wooden boat ever found underground and also no dead bodies at the boat museum

A definite stop for those that have any interest in this amazing place. I thoroughly enjoyed my time from start to finish. Top notch educational experience for anyone interested in medicine, anatomy, forensics, or just the macabre The exhibits are deeply informative, a bit intense, and seriously one-of-a-kind. It’s not your average museum and that’s the point. You’re getting honest displays of the human body and medical history. If you have a weak stomach, find someplace else for your sensitive nature. As for the 1-star reviews? Ignore them. They’re clearly from people who either didn’t understand the complex or probably shouldn’t have visited a museum like this in the first place. Only thing of note that can be taken negatively is the lack of AC, but they have open windows and fans blowing, so if you can handle that, this is an amazing stop to add to your itinerary! Take my advice, don’t miss this if you’re nearby and have the time to do it!

Quite the experience seeing all the bodies with your own eyes rather than virtually through pictures or youtube. Would’ve given 5 stars if there were more English labels. 300baht for each museum (medical/historical). Definitely a place to visit when in Bangkok.

I went alone. So kind of spooky after a while. But good Thailand history. And more than enough crime documented. Right down to pictures of the deceased, and the murder weapon. Interesting, but not for everyone.

My friend had a medical appointment at the hospital, so I decided to visit the museum while waiting for him. Paid 200 Baht which gave me access to all three (maybe it’s a special thing during COVID-19), and I spent two hours visiting everything. I enjoyed all the display of anatomical, forensic, cultural, and historical perspectives.

Siriraj Medical Museum is definitely one of the top museum in Thailand. If not, one of the best in South East Asia. Whether you are here for academic research or just to wonder around to kill off some time. The easiest way to reach here is via ferry (siriraj pier), opposite to tha prachan pier. As many google reviewer says, although it is quite an adventure but surely is not for the faint of heart. Please do eat before you visit the space, and definitely not for children under 15 yrs old. There are 3 museums split inside. Dont worry, the counter receptionist will guide you with a leaflet (Eng Language as well) and there are English signage from one museum to another as well. Photos are not allowed except for the Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum and the pre historic building where you can get to know more during the area within WWII. Medical students, there should cover you many aspects of medical care, theory and researches purpose. But for quite - squeamish person like myself, I still do enjoy it, but it is very disturbing when seeing corpses and trauma injuries (homicide, suicide etc) graphic visuals. There is some audio tech to assist you for Non-Thai speakers. Not too sure about "request touring" for Eng language. Would be great to have one at an additional cost. When I was there, I only witnessed Thai Speaking small group tour/walk through. Ticket Prices for Local: 80 THB Ticket Prices for Foreigners: 250 THB This is an international level museum. Truly remarkable. Worth the visit. Highly Recommend. Do check their facebook page a day before you pay a visit. Incase they, closed for covid19 pandemic etc.

It’s an interesting place to go, doesn’t feel commercial at all. Got to see various anatomies, pretty interesting but the only downside is that most of the descriptions are in Thai, English is available but it’s on YouTube so it’s kind of inconvenient. Instead we went around to *see* than to understand stuff around. I think it’s worth it if you don’t mind looking around and not getting to know more about it. The museum is rather small too so it can be done by within 20mins tops.
