Got the Rainbow-wich (fresh deli turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon, pickle, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chipotle mayo on a pretzel bun) and it was stacked. So fresh and tasty, the bun was perfect and it was piled so high. Thanks!

Quite easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I stopped by this shop because of a recommendation from a local I coincidentally ate lunch with the week before, and it was a fabulous recommendation. I ordered the Megan-wich, which was one of the specials, and it was beyond delicious. It was enough for a full meal, so I brought the scone I bought (lemon, berry, and white chocolate) for dessert home to my dad, and he said it was the best scone he’d had since he moved here from the Maritimes over 40 years ago. There was quite a line when I went in (Friday around noon), but it moved very quickly. There is no seating in the store, but it’s across the street from City Hall and just a short walk from the waterfront. I’ll definitely be back in the next time I’m in Stratford.

Walking into SIRKLE felt less like stepping into a sandwich shop and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. Chris, who was at the counter, took the time to walk us through the menu and recommended a sandwich that turned out to be absolutely incredible. It was juicy, full of flavour, and easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I had also heard about their famous barbecue Caesar salad, which they usually serve only on Fridays. Even though it wasn’t Friday, they went out of their way to make it for me. That kind of kindness really stood out. IAnd of course, a big shoutout to Kelly, the owner. You can tell she pours her heart into this place. Between the amazing food and the genuinely good people, SIRKLE is something special. If you're ever in Stratford, this spot is a must-visit.

Woah. Big sandwiches. Excellent salads. Lots of healthy beverages. Excellent baked goods. No wonder there is a line for lunch. Most locals order their stuff on-line and then just pop in to pick it up. We tourists were lined up to order in person. Even so, I didn't wait more than ten minutes for my two sandwiches and misc. BTW those sandwiches are monster sized: I dare you to eat the whole thing in one sitting. Saved part two for dinner and the bread was a bit soggy by then but never mind, I just ate around the soggy bits. Highly recommend. Plus I saw them give a free baked good to a homeless person so that's cool too.

Stratford isn’t somewhere I usually find myself in - but when I am somewhere new I always have to find the best spot to eat. On recommendation from my manager I ordered the rainbow-wich. This was the biggest, juiciest, packed sandwich I have ever bitten into - or tried to bite into. This sandwich was an absolute beast of a meal and it left me so so happy. Turkey, pickle, cucumber, tomato, bacon, chipotle mayo, cheddar cheese and lettuce all on the perfect (baked in house) pretzel bun. I can’t say much for the shop itself as my meal was picked up for me, but I can only imagine the quality of service if the quality of food is any comparison. Absolute delight of a place. Support local!

We’re tourists who go to Stratford regularly. We stopped in Sirkel unexpectedly after another restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. SO GLAD WE DID!! The food was amazing and we will definitely be back! Everything was fresh, plant-forward, and so colorful! We loved that so many menu ingredients were homemade, too. Pictured below are the BBQ Caesar salad and Natalie salad (both specials). We both got 2 meals out of each of our salads. We just wish they were open on Saturdays and Sundays, so that we could visit again this weekend! 😁

Google
I very much enjoyed the food and service. I had the turkey club and my partner had the pesto chicken while sharing a side of hash brown casserole. Food was delicious and a big sandwich. I ate half and a few bites of hash brown casserole and was satisfied. Strongly suggested place to eat for any sandwich lover. The only thing that would have been nice is somewhere to sit to enjoy the sandwich. Unfortunately it was raining outside so we ended up eating in the car.

Google
Every local I asked recommended this place. It was very clear why. Huge sandwiches and salads with amazing ingredients. Was getting lunch for my family to take to the hospital after the birth of my niece, and 2 sandwiches and a salad was a feast for the 3 of us! So fresh, so delicious.

Yelp
We did take out for lunch. The portions were huge. The flavors were so fresh and well-made. I loved the chicken wrap.

Yelp
Great gluten free pastries! Service with a smile and fast! They have many choices gluten free and not gluten free. A must try when in Stratford.

Yelp
We've been coming here since their initial opening. Excellent service, price point and quality of food.

Yelp
I finally made it to Sirkel Foods a couple of years ago when at the Stratford Festival! What a great discovery! Delicious food, and great staff in this bright and absolutely spotless shop! And the beet salad actually has beets in it! Lots of beets! Delicious!

Maria L.

Yelp
Ordered catering for an office gathering the day before and the food was ready at the time for pickup. Food was still hot but didn't overcook (tofu stir fry)!

Yelp
We got the Ewenwich and savoury crepe for lunch takeout, everything was organized very well in the restaurant and the food was made, packaged, and handed-off with care. The Ewenwich was the best sandwich I've ever had and was great value as a lunch item, we even had leftovers. We toasted it in a pan when we got home for an extra level of crispiness. Don't miss out on this one! The crepes were more of what I would expect from an average place for a fair enough price, I would've appreciated more caramelization on the mushrooms and onions, as well as more cheese or greens to bind the filling together, but the accompanying side salad of the day was a nice touch and big enough to split! Restaurant experience: 5/5 Ewenwich: 5/5 Savoury crepes: 3.5/5

Yelp
2.5 star visit. Popular place. The wait for a 4-top for a weekday, late lunch (1:20PM) was ... we ended up splitting into a 2+2 as the few 4-tops were occupied by folks camping out. I ordered the burger medium rare, please. Server explained that they only offer well done and promised that it would be juicy. It wasn't. Otherwise; the server's attentiveness and service was very good.

Yelp
Friendly and fast service. Great food with generous portions. I'm and out fast. Simple.

Yelp
Almond Joy cookie... Amazing! Fast service, got take out, gets very busy and loud inside. Great Turkey sandwich. Nice spot.

Yelp
Food is great, service is friendly. Come early for lunch or expect a line. Don't show up without Canadian cash, or expect to stand behind a long line of carryout orders to be able to pay.

Yelp
Sirkel Foods is a great lunch location in Stratford. One thing that I quickly realized while visiting Stratford is that there are amazing dining selections. Most small towns have maybe one or two great restaurants and everything else is average. Sirkel is one of those Stratford jewels you'll run across. It is a small restaurant located in the heart of downtown Stratford within walking distance of the Avon Theatre. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and salads operating at a fast paced pitch. The place gets busy very fast, so my recommendation is to show up the earlier the better. You can also order food to go, but everything is cooked to order so be aware that you will be waiting where there is no convenient place to wait. The restaurant is small, brightly colored, and simply decorated. It was very loud while my mother and I dined here to the point that we couldn't really carry on a conversation. I ordered the burger and it was enormously large. It also was on an enormously large salad. I couldn't believe how much food it was! It was wonderfully seasoned and delightfully cooked. Truly it was delicious, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have dinner reservations and not have a high metabolism because I wasn't hungry until well into the night after eating here. The waitstaff operated at a panicked pitch. There were so many patrons and so many things to do, but they had a carefully operated ballet of motion that they were practically captivating themselves. They never stated that they helped each other out like so many restaurants do, but they did. No one person worked the register, cleared the tables, took orders, or refilled water. They just moved effortless around the tables taking note of what needed to be done and doing it. Sirkel is a great lunch location!

Yelp
Unbelievable fresh food, just had what was ordered as a sandwich egg salad with a twist. Bacon tomato lettuce mixed in a terrific choice. You will not be disappointed the bread is magnificent. The sandwich was so thick I had to squeeze it a little to start eating. Good job as always Sirkel foods.... the staff is delightfull as well and the table top extras like brownies butter tarts cookies just to name few are a delicious ending.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a quick lunch while passing through and was blown away by the prices, the portions and the flavour. It's a sandwich shop, and the menu is pretty minimal, but the sandwiches our group ordered were all less than 10 dollars and absolutely exploding with flavour. They were also huge! I think a few of us didn't finish. I would definitely come back, and definitely be excited to explore the rest of the menu. The shop was super busy, and too small for a group, but the servers were quick and friendly. I love this area, and would eat here again.

Yelp
I like a limited menu. It means they've probably taken a long time perfecting each dish. There's not a whole lot on the menu here but everything is super fantastic. The Eggs Benedict is really where it's at... but you really can't go wrong. A WORD OF ADVICE: Do not pass up the baked goods they have that counter! They're always a total delight.

Yelp
I'm visiting Stratford for the Festival, and I stopped in for lunch with a classmate before an afternoon matinee at the Avon. It's quite loud inside, but don't let that scare you off; this place is popular for a reason! We were seated quickly, but larger groups appeared to have a wait during the lunch rush. We were also served quickly; they have a large selection of drinks, and a slightly smaller but delicious lunch menu and are very accommodating to diet restrictions. Portions are large for the price; the salmon cream cheese sandwich is delicious. My only quip was that we sometimes struggled to catch our waitress's attention. Worth a visit if you can beat the crowds!

Yelp
If you are looking for an amazing lunch look no further! There are so many delicious choices for hot meals, sandwiches and salads. My personal favourites are the dream which and bikini salad but anything on the menu is sure to please. The baked treats are to die for. There are great daily specials that keep you coming back! A local favourite ! The servings are always beyond generous and are always full of excellent quality fresh ingredients and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I also love the family feel and the support they give to the community.

Yelp
If I could give six stars, I would. Excellent food, speedy service, reasonable prices. Be prepared for some long lines at lunch time.

Yelp
It's always busy and crowded and a loud environment- all in good reason: the food they have there. Every time I go I get the cold Asian noodle salad and the dream which. The peanut butter sauce with the noodles is fantastic, and the sandwich is sooo good. If you're ever in town you must stop by.

Yelp
This is my go-to place for a quick lunch on a field trip to the Stratford Festival. Great variety of dishes and quick, attentive service.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch as we were looking for simple food while travelling. Friendly welcome and comfortable place. Two of our party wanted gluten free sandwiches and happily gluten free bread was available. The friendly helpful staff member provided details of the local bakery that produces it. Sandwiches ordered then delivered....goat cheese for one person , smoked salmon for another, and roast beef for me. All three very filling and tasty. The staff also sold us two GF loaves to save us the trouble of trying to find the local bakery. Prices very reasonable but then the BIG SURPRISE. Another patron had overheard that two of us were Australian and had left $30 to pay for our meal. What a great surprise and a fabulous gesture which we will have to pay forward sometime. Thank you to the anonymous kind Canadian. Good food, good surprise thanks to Sirkel

Yelp
We very much enjoyed our breakfast. It reminded us of our innovative breakfast spots in Grand Rapids MI, although with a smaller menu. Since I'm used to vegetables for breakfast, I got the lentil pancakes with cured salmon and sour cream. They were very tasty - excellent salmon! I liked the savory seasonings of the pancakes as well. This came plates with a light field greens salad which had the tastiest vinaigrette. DH has the traditional breakfast, which he consumed until he was full. The bacon is Canadian style, eggs came as ordered. The toast is generous, seemed to be homemade bread. The hash brown casserole is unique and very tasty. It's more savory and less cheesy, lighter and fresher tasting than typical hash brown casseroles. And good coffee!

Yelp
My wife, daughter and I had breakfast at Sirkel Foods! while in town for the Shakespeare Festival. We weren't quite sure what to expect as there was only one other customer at 8:30 on a sunny Tuesday. We were told to sit wherever we would like, and after we looked at the great display of fresh baked muffins and pastries, we grabbed a seat and ordered coffee and juice. Coffee was average and the apple juice was brought in a bottle with a glass. While not extensive, the breakfast menu was diverse, offering numerous savory dishes and an intriguing French toast with apples and cheddar cheese. We ordered that dish, along with the traditional breakfast (two eggs, bacon, home fries and toasted homemade bread), and the "huevos" (Mexican themed egg dish with homemade salsa, sour cream, eggs, cheese, peppers, corn tortilla, and home fries). In a word, the breakfast as a whole was "awesome." The French toast consisted of two thick slices of bread sandwiching thinly sliced spiced apples and melted cheddar cheese, served with syrup on the side. The "huevos" dish was the star, and the homemade salsa served on top was some of the best I've had outside of the Southwest U.S. I highly recommend this dish! The traditional breakfast was perfectly fine, but the "over-medium" eggs were the tiniest bit too done/tough, but this was off-set by the two "slices" of toast, which, when cut diagonally and stalked, we're about six inches high! (it looked like half a loaf of bread!) if you get the traditional breakfast, take the leftover toast with you, while it would make a great sandwich later in the day, you might take it to the pond to feed the swans. Excellent breakfast spot, and I would love to try their lunch selection!

Yelp
I got the dream-wich. The combination was good however, they put WAY too much of the goat cheese on to the point that I couldn't taste anything else. I had to pull the sandwich apart and remove some of the cheese. After I did this I was able to enjoy it more. I also really dislike how they have the baked goods out without being covered right at the cash! Please find a better way to display your baked goods as I'm sure they are good but I cannot get paste the thought of all the people reaching over, sneezing, coughing all over them.

Jesmyne W.

Yelp
I couldn't believe how amazing a sandwich could be. The bread is made fresh and cut to order. It made the perfect lunch and I can't wait to go back
google avatar

Yelp
There a few places where the meal is to die for - I just had one of those meals. It was the French toast . It was lightly grilled with a dazzle of sugar. I highly recommend the toast. This is because it was toasted just right. I say it is perfection. Even the eggs were delicious! Our host was very delightful and.... just GREAT!
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
Great little place to get breakfast or lunch. Quality food and service every time I eat here. Staff area always pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend eating here is you're in town.
google avatar

Elaine K.

Yelp
I came here with a couple of colleagues for a lunch break. First: the soup of the day was vegan. Yay!! Second, I ordered the house cured salmon, because of COURSE I had to, and it was fantastic. Just full of flavour. The place was packed and they all looked like locals. There was a short, but varied menu for lunch and everything seemed to be a daily special. Service was great despite being packed and the prices were good. I'd stop here again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Friendly staffs, cute place, fast service and food. Many choices for vegetarians, would give it 5 starts if the food can be less salty. (Ps, I only went twice, and both were too salty for my own taste)
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for lunch in Stratford. They have an amazing menu. Even if you eat here every day there's always something new to try. The cold Asian noodle salad with chicken is one of my favorites. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sundays, but I suppose everyone deserves a day off.

Kathy L.

Yelp
Delicious nutty chicken salad sandwich. Fast service. Reasonable prices. Great for lunch.
google avatar

Lucy W.

Yelp
The breakfast menu is limited, but had enough variety to please my group of 5. I was all over the traditional breakfast- I got some yummy scrambled eggs and good home fries that were more like potato chips. Others in my group loved the huevos (an egg over a quesadilla). Only complaint: there were too few veggie options on the breakfast menu. The staff was super friendly.
google avatar

Dorothy D.

Yelp
The best food in town! Quality is 100% every time. You won't find better appetizers anywhere on the planet!

Mrs Coolfish S.

Yelp
Great food, big portions, nice teas, creative menu. Everything delicious. But, get there early or you'll have trouble getting a seat at lunch. I've enjoyed it on more than one occasion, but I get there shortly after opening and absolutely before noon. It gets a little crowded and uncomfortable after noon on a day when the Festival Theatre is having a matinee show.

Christina A.

Yelp
This place had great food for a reasonable price. We ordered the dreamwich sandwich and it was delightful. My husband and I shared since the portions are large. We also had a watermelon gazpacho which was refreshing and nicely spiced. Would definitely go again.

Elisabeth W.

Yelp
Our favourite spot for breakfast - my husband and I love to bring our out of town guests here and I always recommend the lentil pancakes!

Sean R.

Yelp
Sirkel is one of our go to places in downtown Stratford. It is a small place and being popular you may need to wait, but it is worth it. Casual atmosphere, super friendly staff. Family friendly but you may see local talent (theatre actors, musicians) there. Burgers are awesome, the Pad Thai is the sweeter, tomato-based version but they "warn" you of that, if you're more familiar with the hotter version. Look out for the specials, and the sandwiches are always great.
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Fantastic food and very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Went back for breakfast the next two days in a row!

Cathy D.

Yelp
One of the best lunch spots in town! They cater to every need. You can get half of anything. Super fast, great sandwiches and daily specials. Love my sirkel. Baked goods are to die for.
google avatar

Bernice T.

Yelp
Delicious amazing home made bread. Quick and polite service. The Mandarin chicken salad hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good sandwich shop
google avatar

Greg W.

Yelp
a great place for casual dining. friendly service and an eclectic menu. I was there for breakfast and had the huevos (I'm from Texas and the salsa was dang good). I'll definitely be back to try more before I leave Stratford.

Chef R.

Yelp
I was concerned they had forgotten an item when I received my bill as it was great value for what I received. Huge salad, great sandwich with fresh ingredients and home made bread, excellent value for the money. Wonderful.

Yelp
The menu is simple but varied. The food quality is very good. Service is good. Washrooms are clean. Prices are a pleasant surprise. Licensed too ! A great local place to eat.

Michael R.

Yelp
We were just there last week. Super casual, great staff, and awesome comfort food. Great sandwich selection, daily specials, child friendly. Servings are large, you can ask for take away boxes. You can order to take away as well. A shame they don't do supper!

Lanny M.

Yelp
Our favourite lunch spot. Staff is friendly and food is great. Specials change daily, and are always good.

Megan F.

Yelp
Sirkel has wonderful, flavourful, fresh food every time I go in. The service is always friendly. The dining room is full of natural light and pleasantly simple. Great for vegetarians and vegans!

Sue E.

Yelp
Great little place with very friendly staff. I have Celiac Disease and needed to be sure that my foods wouldn't be cross contaminated with gluten. They offer gf bread and gf desserts but recommended I bring my own bread in a toaster bag or bring a bag for their bread. I was impressed with this!! This young lady waiting on us was very knowledgeable and happy to assist me make the best choices. Home fries are the only thing that goes in the deep fryer so they were safe and delicious. Not typical home fries but more like tiny potato chips with kosher salt!! We will be going back again and again as there aren't many (or any) gluten free options for breakfasts in town. Their lunch menu looked wonderful too with freshly made sandwiches and home made soups!
