This was a great spot to grab something for food before heading to the town. We had a ham&cheese sandwich which was nothing spectacular. It seems though like their focus is on pizza, which was on the other hand really delicious. The dough was fluffy and tasted very fresh. The pizza options are limited though. They also have a plenty of pastry options and different types of sandwiches.

The place has a great atmosphere and friendly service. The have a large seating area with many tables. I ordered the gardianiara, the Vegeterian pizza. It was served on a plate with a fork and knife. It did not have any tamatoe sauce, just cheese and vegetables. All the ingredients felt fresh, there was a variety of vegetables, and the flavour was mild. It was not at all salty, had a nice crunchy crust, slightly oily (just right), and a soft middle. It was warm, but not hot, could be eaten right away. It was a bit hard to eat by hand as the ingredients would fall over as the middle base of the pizza was very thin. Overall the pizza was good, but not great for my own preferences. The crust did get soft by the time I got the last slice. I think because of the lack of tomatoes sauce, the pizza was lacking an acidic or salty element.

Please listen. The guy who worked the pizza oven today, Mon Jan 27, needs to be fired or retrained. It is no where near as good as the other men who work this location

This place was recommended in a blog post we read before coming to Stavanger. It was surprisingly difficult to find restaurants open before noon, but this cafe opened at 10 and started serving pizza at 11. We couldn’t find an English menu online, but the staff was very helpful when we asked to order in English. The two pizzas we ordered were amazing. I am so glad we decided to come to this location rather than the other one nearby, because the library it’s located in is beautiful and very interesting to walk around.

I was recommended here by the local tourist information. Located on the ground floor of the library it serves excellent coffee and cinnamon bun. It is popular with the locals and has a good variety of food - from pizza and pancakes to coffee, cake and sandwiches. The library also houses a large cinema. It is a modern building among the photogenic houses in the centre of Stavanger. It is one of the largest libraries I have ever visited with four floors of books. It, perhaps strangely, reminds me of the British Library in London

Don't leave food outside! Birds will eat it and you will stay hungry. I've bought my favourite sandwich, a bread and coffee today. I had to wait for coffee. They didn't offer to bring it to the table. So in a men time I took my sandwich on the table outside. On a beautifully terrace. Then I returned back to get a coffee. When I came back to the table, my sandwich was eaten by birds. I asked the writers for the new one. But she refused to give me a new. I understand it's my responsobility that I didn't think about the birds. But the service people could be more friendly. Could offer to bring coffee to the table on the first place.

We had to leave without planning to do so. Our travelling is taking three years now. We are changing countries and trying to feel like home where we are not at home. It can be exciting though. Our family and friends left behind and gaining everything new can be challenging at times. In the world of strangers there was a special place I found for myself. People in here seemed to accept me as a part of their everyday routine and shared their smiles and warmth from the very first day. Since then I am coming to this cafe every day at approximately the same time, order my favourite soups or caprese sandwich and sit at the same spot in the corner of a big table. I still don’t know their names, except lovely Goldi and passionate Tanya🥰. But they will stay in my memory as a Norwegian family which gave us feeling of acceptance and comforting. Farewell my dears friends❤️❤️❤️hope to see you again some day!

Definitely not value for money - I visited twice whilst I was in Stavanger. The first time I had the truffle salami pizza, and the second time I wanted to try one of their cakes so went back for a coffee and a raspberry mousse type of dome/cake. The pizza tasted nice, but the topping was stingy as it didn't fill the pizza. The coffee was the worst one I had whilst travelling through Europe (one month in at that point). I asked for a macchiato but I think she put it down as a macchiato latte and it was a barely warm mug of milk with a drop of coffee. The cake was nice though. Definitely wouldn't go back and wish I hadn't spent AUD37 on a pizza, and AUD22 on coffee and a cake. This place is just all hype, especially on socials. Would never go back or recommend it.
