⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Peaceful Gem in Weligama We had an amazing stay at this lovely spot in Weligama, perfectly located just a short drive from the buzz of Mirissa yet peaceful enough to feel like a true escape. The property is beautifully maintained, with spacious, spotless rooms that made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. A special shout-out to the incredible Sitara girls, whose warm smiles and exceptional service made every day brighter. Their friendliness and attention to detail truly set this place apart. Breakfast was another highlight — a generous, delicious spread with plenty of variety to start the day right. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay near the best of the south coast, this is the perfect choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a wonderful 2 night stay. Staff here fantastic, breakfast excellent and accommodation was wonderful. Very comfortable beds, great sitting out by the pool area. Very close to the beach. |A constant road and the old train noise, all of which is becomes gentle back ground noise.|A beautiful property.

I had the pleasure of residing at Sitara Weligama Villa for two nights. From the architecture to the level of comfort, everything was fantastic. The villa is incredibly peaceful, with beautiful neutral tones throughout from the furniture to the walls, ceilings, and floors which created a calming and elegant atmosphere. The river view was beautiful and perfectly completed the overall experience. We were very well taken care of by Pasindi, Sashi, and Madhavi. Their hospitality was outstanding, and the food was exceptionally delicious. Thank you, Pasindi, Sashi, and Madhavi I’m truly grateful 🙏🏻 If you are looking for a calm, peaceful, and nature enhanced getaway, I highly recommend visiting Sitara Weligama Villa.

This place truly saved us. After staying in a previous hotel that was extremely noisy and uncomfortable, we came here simply to ask if there was a free room — and we were welcomed immediately with smiles, kindness, and open hearts. The hotel is run entirely by wonderful women who take care of everything with such warmth and attention. From the first moment, we felt at home. Everything is kept spotlessly clean, and they genuinely look after you in every possible way. The breakfast is the best we have ever had in a hotel. Every day it is different, incredibly generous, made with fresh ingredients, and beautifully plated — a true delight for both the eyes and the soul. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts — we would definitely return. The place is filled with positive energy and tranquility, offering complete relaxation for all the senses. The pool is perfectly maintained and wonderfully positioned, and the large living room windows create a feeling of timelessness and lightness. You simply don’t want to leave — this place is pure magic!!!

I booked 10 nights at Sitara Weligama, which wasn’t inexpensive. The room itself was nicely done and comfortable. During our stay there was construction happening next door (which wasn’t the hotel’s fault), but the main issue was the constant road traffic and train noise, along with boat activity. It was impossible to sit outside in the pool area due to the noise factor, and this didn’t align with how the property is marketed as a peaceful getaway. The pool filter wasn’t switched on, the water was milky, and the fan in the room also made noise. On the positive side, the staff were understanding and refunded the remaining nights after we stayed one night, which we appreciated. We decided to move on to another place.

The property is really pretty, if you are looking for an aesthetic & peaceful getaway, this perfect. Service is excellent, meticulous, helpful but not intrusive. They however only serve breakfast & refreshments but not dinner, perhaps something to consider. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk, which is amazing. Location worked well for us. It is at one end of Weligama, so the beach is less crowded, which is good but amenities are fewer. It is however equidistant from Weligama town and Merissa.

This place is and island of calm and luxe in the middle of the tourist and noisy ocean of Weligama. You step inside and you really feel lucky and living an unique experience. From the room perfectly clean and prepared, to the food with small choices but excellently cooked, the interior design which is choose with precision, everything is leading you on the path of perfection. And the service... handled by a group of professional ladies who knows what the difference is between invasive helpfulness and real luxury dedication to the client. They are discret but accurate, remember your preferences, always anticipate your actions and needs, for short : excellency.

Markets itself as a luxury place to unwind and relax but its outlook is the river inlet and bridge south. The traffic noise is relentless and loud, with the train line just behind it. You'll hear train horns, bus horns, car, horns and ofcourse scooter and tuk tuks. They go all night. The pool was in a dangerously unhealthy state when we visited as well. Severely oversold and overpriced.
