The 5 Best Hotels in Medellín (Updated 2025)

"Located in laid-back Patio Bonito, this hotel is ideal for mid-range travelers staying longer thanks to kitchens in every room and apartments. I liked the rooftop pool and jacuzzi, the lobby reading room, a small fitness center, and laundry facilities, and the buffet breakfast offered a nice variety of sweet breads, pastries, fresh juices, yogurt, and made-to-order eggs. The spacious deluxe rooms and apartments all include kitchens with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and minibar; rooms feel simple yet cozy with wood floors, local artwork on the walls, a desk, and a flatscreen TV, while apartments also offer terraces. Bathrooms are decently sized with complimentary toiletries and rainfall showerheads that deliver great water pressure." - Matthew Kepnes

Great location in the Poblado but don’t count on getting a decent shower. The problem seems to run in all rooms. Either extremely hot or very cold makes it very unpleasant. Not acceptable for a $200/hotel. Service is always good (as is in most places in Colombia).

Hotel location is amazing, staff are very kind and breakfast is good. Also, the rooftop jacuzzi has stunning views! Our room definitely had mold as our allergies were activated anytime we were in the room. No venting in bathrooms is probably the cause. Also, housekeeping was poor….our floors were very dirty….we even started taking note of obvious dirt/hair on floor and when we’d come back to room, it was still there. We only had towels replaced, bed made (sheets not replced) and a wipe down of bathroom sink. Also, told front desk that our main bathroom sink was very clogged and backing up. It was never fixed or addressed even though they promised it would be. If they address housekeeping and maintenance, which are easy fixes, then this hotel could be an amazing hotel! Staff was always kind and hospitable though!

We selected this hotel for our family vacation of 4 after reviewing several options on Expedia and Booking.com. the team at the front desk was warm and welcoming to our family. We got a room on the 6th floor. The pool and gym are on the 12th floor (penthouse). I wish they were more fluent in English as was a little challenging to even have basic conversation with the support staff at breakfast, room service and at the front desk. Overall the place is clean, quiet and just relaxing. The pool is usually warm and not very busy so we enjoyed time there. We are from Jamaica and appreciate air conditioning. We had no reason to turn on the AC as the room was always cool.

Amazing Experience – Highly Recommend! Our experience at Sites Hotel was absolutely amazing. We had originally booked another hotel in a different area, but after just one night—where we found the place infested with spiders—we knew we had to leave. That’s when we found Sites Hotel, and what a difference it made! The hotel was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the entire stay was smooth and comfortable. Even after my son accidentally left his AirPods behind, the team went above and beyond—they’re mailing them to us all the way in Austin, Texas! I truly loved staying here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The location is good within El Poblado with plenty of bars and restaurants to visit nearby - also only 5 minutes from the metro. The rooms were good but a little tired. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Great value for money.

Had a little situation when checked in, but tue Front Desk Manager Carolina took care quick even when I was very pissed. For the nightly price location is 5⭐️ inside El Poblado with a walking distance to Clubs, supermarket, Restaurants etc. You will get stable free internet and Breakfast included and very yummy. The apartments with only one room only has a/c at the room. Any extra guests sleeping at the sofa-bed will have only a ventilator. The two bedroom apts have a/c in both bedrooms. You will get a full kitchen equipped. The rooftop has a nice hot water jacuzzi and an Italian Restaurant. There is a small room with a few things to exercised. There is security at night which is another plus when arrived lated night. Good shower pressure and constant hot water.
