The 5 Best Hotels in Medellín (Updated 2025)

"Located in laid-back Patio Bonito, this hotel is ideal for mid-range travelers staying longer thanks to kitchens in every room and apartments. I liked the rooftop pool and jacuzzi, the lobby reading room, a small fitness center, and laundry facilities, and the buffet breakfast offered a nice variety of sweet breads, pastries, fresh juices, yogurt, and made-to-order eggs. The spacious deluxe rooms and apartments all include kitchens with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and minibar; rooms feel simple yet cozy with wood floors, local artwork on the walls, a desk, and a flatscreen TV, while apartments also offer terraces. Bathrooms are decently sized with complimentary toiletries and rainfall showerheads that deliver great water pressure." - Matthew Kepnes

Hotel location is amazing, staff are very kind and breakfast is good. Also, the rooftop jacuzzi has stunning views! Our room definitely had mold as our allergies were activated anytime we were in the room. No venting in bathrooms is probably the cause. Also, housekeeping was poor….our floors were very dirty….we even started taking note of obvious dirt/hair on floor and when we’d come back to room, it was still there. We only had towels replaced, bed made (sheets not replced) and a wipe down of bathroom sink. Also, told front desk that our main bathroom sink was very clogged and backing up. It was never fixed or addressed even though they promised it would be. If they address housekeeping and maintenance, which are easy fixes, then this hotel could be an amazing hotel! Staff was always kind and hospitable though!

The location is good within El Poblado with plenty of bars and restaurants to visit nearby - also only 5 minutes from the metro. The rooms were good but a little tired. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Great value for money.

Great Hotel! The price-quality ratio is amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Solid breakfast. Good and hot shower. The rooftop jacuzzi/pool is a great plus, the view at night is beautiful.

This will be my second time staying here and it will be my #1 hotel choice when visiting Medellin. The customer service is excellent! They updated their rooftop that has amazing views of the city, a cool restaurant, and lounge where we spent most of our mornings and evenings. ||The hotel restaurant is also delicious. We took advantage of breakfast every morning and were very happy with the specials of the day. Daniel was our server over the weekend and he made us feel right at home.||Highly recommend. Clean, great design, and quality amenities.

Amazing Experience – Highly Recommend! Our experience at Sites Hotel was absolutely amazing. We had originally booked another hotel in a different area, but after just one night—where we found the place infested with spiders—we knew we had to leave. That’s when we found Sites Hotel, and what a difference it made! The hotel was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the entire stay was smooth and comfortable. Even after my son accidentally left his AirPods behind, the team went above and beyond—they’re mailing them to us all the way in Austin, Texas! I truly loved staying here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Awesome hotel, staff, location, and price. The hotel is clean and the staff warm and friendly. They offer a great breakfast and have a spectacular rooftop restaurant. Would definitely stay again when visiting Medellin.

It was our third stay at Sites. It was great to see the completed renovation to the stunning rooftop and the addition of a special dining venue, Da Pranzo. As always, we loved our bright, spacious room and the complimentary breakfast buffet. On our third day, we were happy that our favorite waiter, Daniel, returned to work breakfasts. Overall, a wonderful stay and a great value in Medellín.

Sure! Here’s a bad hotel review based on those points: ⸻ I really wish I could leave a better review, but my stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. First off, the beds were way too small and uncomfortable—it felt like sleeping in a cramped cot. There were no tissues anywhere, just toilet paper, which felt super cheap for a place that claims to be a decent hotel. The shower was the worst part: the water kept switching between freezing cold and scalding hot on its own, making it basically unusable. The “breakfast buffet” was a joke. They advertise it like it’s unlimited, but then they limit how much you can eat. Why call it a buffet if you’re going to ration the food? One of the bathrooms had zero ventilation, so it was always musty and gross. And instead of solid soap, they only offered liquid soap, which felt watered down and ineffective. Overall, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. Too many basic issues that made the whole experience uncomfortable.
