Siyanco Holiday Resort & Cafe

The staff were amazing! Rooms were spotless, and breakfast was more than we could eat. They hire out bicycles to ride through the ancient city, which is right next door. Their pool was fantastic after a long day of bike riding.

Excellent location. Run down. Pool more like a pond with no filtration so full of mosquitoes larvae. No umbrellas around pool. No cushions. So don't go here for the pool just the location.

We stayed at Siyanco for a one night. The staff was good and they offered a very good breakfast to us. Even the rooms, washroom and the pool area all of them were super clean. I would like to recommend this place to anyone who would love to visit pollonnaruwa with their family.😊

An older place with some wear and tear showing. We were part of a group tour. Just the one night here and our room was comfy enough with good aircon. Friendly staff. Nice simple breakfast. Quite a few mozzies to contend with. But fair value for money.

Despite the 2019 bombings and the COVID lockdown, this hotel has invested in the future of tourism. It offers rooms with renovated bathrooms and, above all, clean rooms: an example to all hotels in Sri Lanka that cleaning is not expensive and a good sign of hospitality. Not a good sign of hospitality was the owner’s offer to buy the hotel. That sends the wrong signal.||In March 2024, our room 401 (2F) was in the building surrounding the swimming pool. Rooms with a lower number were in the building next to the restaurant. Our room had good air-conditioning and television. The ceiling fan was out of order. Laundry service was available and we enjoyed the pool in the afternoon sun. The restaurant served a limited but good quality buffet breakfast. Wi-Fi reception in the room was intermittent. ||Siyanco Holiday Resort offers renovated and clean rooms. Recommended.

This hotel was part of our Intrepid tour package. It was nothing special but clean with a nice pool, adequate drinks options and breakfast. Wifi was okay.|I looked the price up independently and it is very inexpensive. No luxury but no complaints.

Great place for a stop over if you are visiting Polonnaruwa. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. This isn't a fancy hotel BUT I loved the fact the rooms are very comfortable and super clean for a stay. They don't serve food but if you ask they will make sure to arrange. The location is also very convenient to visit the iconic Polonnaruwa Ancient city. There's tons of restaurants near by as well. This is a great place stay.

This hotel is perfect if you want to go to the ancient city. It’s super close and very convenient. You can ask the owner to rent bikes for you, so you can go to see the old city early in the morning when it’s not too hot yet. The room was very clean, spacious, and the owner was very nice to us. We enjoyed our stay very much
