Beautiful hotel surrounded with nature and tall coconut trees. Super friendly and kind staff always with smile. Breakfast is simple but delish. They have a clean serene pool you can jump in swim or you can sit on a chair and just enjoy the nature around the pool. |Short 5 min walk to a lake that you can watch sunset. Hotel is close to restaurants and grocery store and shops. |We had fantastic stay here!

We used the cafe only and did not stay at the hotel. The cafe was great and had really friendly staff. We had a cappuccino, iced late, fruit salad and a large water which came to 3,500 rupees. All tasted delicious and a very chilled atmosphere. Good location next to the ancient city for a quick stop.

Stayed here as part of a group tour of Sri Lanka. Lovely small, family run establishment. We had a ground floor room over looking the pool, which looked lovely but had no time to sample it's delights! The room was large and spotlessly clean. Large wet room style bathroom, good shower with hot water! Towels provided. The room was quiet and dark for sleeping and I slept well! good wifi that reached to the rooms. There is an on site restaurant where we had dinner; simple selection of meals that were clearly being cooked to order. I had a huge portion of vegetable noodles and my other half a big pile of chicken rice. Breakfast was served in the restaurant. We were brought eggs to order at our table, with plate of fruit and piles of toast and jam. Good start to the day. They also have a coffee shop on site that does barista style coffees. The grounds are well kept and the whole area is set back from the road. I really liked the siza and atmosphere at this hotel.

The location for the sacred city is the best. The proprietor is a warm, gentle man, he and his wife sought to meet all our needs. The cheaper rooms are run down, as it be expected the AC and the fan were noisy. The pool is not as well kept as the finicky would like but was much appreciated after a day on the bikes.

Wonderful place. Staff very accommodating PLUS they have a coffee shop and serve coffee-fresh, for breakfast. The pool is also clean and warm. Highly recommend.

Nice little hotel, with some rooms right next to the pool - very welcome on a really hot day! Rooms well equipped, and pleasant grounds.

We stopped for a coffe near the resort. The service was quite fast and iced coffee and americano were very good. Its located very close to the museum.

Despite the 2019 bombings and the COVID lockdown, this hotel has invested in the future of tourism. It offers rooms with renovated bathrooms and, above all, clean rooms: an example to all hotels in Sri Lanka that cleaning is not expensive and a good sign of hospitality. Not a good sign of hospitality was the owner’s offer to buy the hotel. That sends the wrong signal.||In March 2024, our room 401 (2F) was in the building surrounding the swimming pool. Rooms with a lower number were in the building next to the restaurant. Our room had good air-conditioning and television. The ceiling fan was out of order. Laundry service was available and we enjoyed the pool in the afternoon sun. The restaurant served a limited but good quality buffet breakfast. Wi-Fi reception in the room was intermittent. ||Siyanco Holiday Resort offers renovated and clean rooms. Recommended.
