Big portion, great flavours! Ordered house bacalao and beef fillet, both tasted amazing!

Servings were very large for Norway. Klippfisk a la Sjøstjerna was tasty. Bacalao was au gratin, with a lot of white sauce. Pretty tasty.

Wow! We were completely blown away by the staff, service and food here. You must book a table in advance - we saw lots of people being turned away at the door. The waitresses were smiley and friendly. The food was incredible. I had the Fish'an Exclusive which was basically fish and chips - by far the best I've had in Norway and I've lived here for almost 3 years. My partner had the klippfisk and was also very impressed. The scallop starter and the chocolate fondant dessert were the perfect start and end to a lovely evening.

A little cold atmosphere when I arrived. No guests, only one manager who served me. And the food was ok. Price was affordable too. This restaurant needs improvements in every form and way👍. Good luck.

Worst place ever! Shrimp cocktail, with frozen shrimp and brown salad, when I said I didn’t want it he got mad and made me pay anyway. Dont go.

Good service and polite staff. Had mussels as starter and that was delicious. Klippfisk as Main course and it tasted good but was slightly to Salty so I didn't manage to eat it all. But all in all i would definently come back again. Cosy place with nice interior and good music. If the fish hadnt been so salt I would have given 5 stars.

Visiting this restaurant was one of the best decisions we made during our trip through Norway. The food was very tasty, fish was perfectly cooked! Also the prices and portions were really reasonable. In addition to traditional fish dishes, we also ordered a vegetarian alternative (it is not on the menu, but they will be happy to prepare it for you). The service was also very nice and helpful. Overall, visiting Sjøstjern was a very pleasant experience😄

It seems the place is a bit overpriced, although we did enjoy our food and the service was good. The fish soup was really delicious - we highly recommend it. However, some dishes are specific - you’d better ask questions about what a particular dish includes. The place is also child-friendly

Yelp
The atmosphere is authentic with various elements from the fishing industry and shipping cans that the fish were stored in. The service is very friendly especially for a foreigner like me who doesn't speak Norwegian. And the food - piled high and more than I could eat. So you won't go away hungry.
