The camping was nice! Toilets and showers were clean. Washing machine & dryer provided. Warm water. Enough space for van. There is no shared kitchen. No complains.

The best campsite we stayed at during our vacation in Iceland, the bathrooms and showers were truly top notch and we didn't have any complaints at all. As an added bonus, you don't even need to leave the campsite if you want to explore Skaftafell, it's in a perfect location to start your hike right from your campsite.

The best camping in Iceland hands down. I’ve stayed in multiple campings through out the years I spent in Iceland and Skaftafell is the best. Great facilities, staff and of course the views. Can’t get wrong by staying here a few nights and making the most of the location and the surroundings. One of the cleanest campings as well and open all year is a plus.

Very nice location: beautiful landscape and close to hiking trails. The campsite though gets very crowded so it loses its charm, and it was not even high season. Showers and bathrooms are comfortable and clean, but these aren’t enough for rush hours for the amount of campers on the site. There is no kitchen.

Amazing location with plenty of room. Can pay after a night of camping, if you get in late. After camping, you can leave car in the camping area while hiking for the day. Plus snuck in drying some clothes after a hike (washing machine was also available)

Very clean bathrooms, showers are free, washer and dryer are free (but only one set, good luck on a rainy day), huge space with great parking spots, and an unreal view of the surrounding area on a clear night. Highly recommend.

A lovely campsite. We stayed here in a van. There is no undercover cooking area but there is an area to wash up. The showers are free and warm. It can get busy, but it is well equipped. The surroundings are amazing. Definitely worth staying here

Beautiful camping ground but expensive for the low value you get (read: facilities). Location: Great! With a stunning view to the glacier. Also the area to park your vans are well maintained. Not that many muddy experiences. Hygiene facilities: Shower and toilets. Not super bad, but rather on the dirty side. They are included in the price. Washing clothes: One washing machine and dryer which means you have to either wait endlessly or skip and wash your clothes elsewhere. On the good side: it’s included. But it eats your time. Common area: There is only one outside area with 4 benches. Nothing indoors. Food: No good restaurants in the area. You stop here to hike or to stay the night and keep moving.
