I’ve used 5 different camp sites over my week travelling around Iceland and this one was by far the best. Super clean washrooms. Super clean and lots of showers with plenty of warm water. Laundry on site in the same building as the showers and washrooms RV discharge next to the camp site registration building Lots of spaces with electrical hook up

Costs about €42 to park for the night for 2 poeple, but they have clean toilets, showers, laundry machine and dryer, there is also room to sit and cook with portable stoves. Electricity is charged separately. It's next to the trail to an amazing waterfall.

We stayed at this site for 2 consecutive nights as it suited our planned trip in a rented camper van. The campsite reception has someone at it from approx 6pm. The facilities at the site made it the best that we stayed at. The showers were lovely & hot…also very clean. The toilets were on the other side of the block & also very clean. The main doors into these areas are opened using a push button which was a nice idea. |Plenty of electric & non electric pitches. No facility to dump grey water though which as others have said is a little strange. |The views from the campground are incredible. The hikes available in the area are well signed and very well maintained.

We were here in December and it was one of the best campings where we stayed. The location is great and the facilities too. Toilets are being cleaned on daily basis and there is as a washing machine as well as a dryer included in the camping fee. The only inconvenience is that there is no common area.

Clean campsite that tries to live up to the price they charge, fine showers nice clean toilets near the skaftafell glacier. However as with most Icelandic campsites it is NOT ready for the amount of winter campers with only one sink to do the dishes for example every evening and morning is a huge cue. However personeel very helpfull.

3.5/5 Huge campsite and great location. Beautiful hikes start on the premises. However, there were *too* many people, with absolutely no organization whatsoever. I stayed there for 2 nights, and I didn't see one worker. At night, campers come and try to find a spot on their own. Only one washer and one dryer, which was not enough for the amount of campers there. But, there were many showers and toilets, which were mostly clean, but very basic. Also, a major minus, was the lack of indoor lounge area or kitchen ! Not very community-building, it didn't feel cozy or friendly at all. My boyfriend gives this 4/5, I give it 3/5.

We stayed here in a campervan for 2 nights in Jan 2025. Tricky to get campsites in winter so was really pleased with this spot. Showers were the best out of all the campsites we stayed, very clean and powerful! There's no communal/ kitchen space but there is a room to wash your dishes. Checking in was easy, it was the only site that had staff on past 6pm so we just went to the reception and paid for 2 nights upfront. Ideal spot for seeing the northern lights and the amazing stars, just be warned, it can get super windy at night so use earplugs!! Overall, would recommend

I had heard some negative reviews about this campsite, but honestly, I never had any issues during my stay. It’s a large campsite with plenty of space, and they even offered a disability discount, which was a nice bonus. The showers were numerous and kept clean, and the bathrooms were well-maintained throughout my stay. A major perk is that it’s right near the Svartifoss waterfall, so if you’re staying here, you don’t need to pay for parking. It’s just a short walk to the trail entrance, which was super convenient.
