This museum was wonderful! Getting to see all of the beautiful pieces of art was just wonderful. Note that you won't be able to bring a bag with you and you'll have to put purses in a locker. I appreciated that they had free restrooms and they were nice and clean.

A simple but cute and beautiful museum. I liked museums and art galleries, so it was important to go to the museum in Skagen. I saw the works that I had to see at the Skagen Museum and it remains a good memory to this day.

This museum was a reason for traveling across the Jutland Peninsula all the way to Skagen.
And it did not disappointed!
Fabulous exposition on the members of Art Colony. All the paintings are wonderfully described in detail.
Even if museum is quite small (max 1hr) it seems to be very spacious and perfectly lit (weather and sunlight during the visit was perfect)
Highly recommend to visit!

Worth visiting.
A interesting collection with a focus on impressionism. Well curated displays of paintings, sculptures, pottery on two levels. Well light rooms, good ventilation and seats can be found in most rooms to rest the legs.
It was not crowded when we visited on a weekday afternoon. We could get tickets on the spot.
There is a cafe at the back of the museum and a museum gift shop.

Wonderful. Must-visit place in your lifetime. Studying about Skagen artists in advance will be a lot help :) especially the movie, Marie Kroyer.

A beautifully laid out and hygge museum that impeccably showcases the art and life history of Skagen. The showcase rooms are bright while being warm and inviting, and the paintings are even better in person than what I could have hoped for. If you know anything about the landscape and art colony of Skagen, you must visit this museum, as the art truly captures the perfectly idyllic reputation of this glorious fishing town.
