Incredible private hire experience from Skaus. We booked the venue for an evening meal of 22 family members and every step of the process was flawless. Our guests' dietary, age and mobility needs were accommodated without fuss. Skaus curated a menu that was absolutely delicious. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and the quality of the ingredients excellent. Their careful planning and attention to detail made the whole event very special. Staff were professional, calm and attentive throughout the night. Skaus is great in the daytime, but even better as a private hire. I have no hesitation recommending them for an event and look forward to returning soon. Thank you Dan and Josh!

A true gem on Allerton Road! Dan, Josh, Jessie, and the entire team create such a warm, uplifting atmosphere that it’s impossible to leave without a smile. The Scouse is absolutely delicious, proper hearty and traditional. Guarantee you’ll leave this place with a full belly, feeling genuinely happy. This place does Scouse independents proud.

Haddock Kedgeree with Dill and Fennel Perfect autumn comfort food — warm, fragrant, and beautifully balanced. The haddock was cooked to perfection, flaking gently into a golden kedgeree infused with fresh dill and crisp fennel. Sweet peas added a lovely pop of freshness, making each bite feel both hearty and elegant. The amazing staff and welcoming vibe made the experience even more special. Highly recommend

Had the French toast with pecans and banana. It was stand out. You don’t get this kind of quality in many places! The Coffee was also really good and service was friendly and on point. I would hurry back

Came here for lunch after worked nearby. Chose it because they served matcha latte. Such a nice little place, clean and comfortable ambience. Various tempting menus which made me difficult to pick just one. The food and drink were presented beautifully, and taste was just put a harmony in my palate. Nice services and although the price a bit high for me but I didn't have any regret spending it.

Skaus is hands down one of the best brunch spots I’ve been to in Liverpool. The atmosphere is relaxed and beautifully minimal, with friendly staff who genuinely care about the experience. The menu is creative but approachable full of proper flavour, local ingredients, and thoughtful touches. I had the hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows, and it was next level rich, velvety, and topped with the most perfectly torched, gooey marshmallows I’ve ever had. Easily one of the best hot chocolates I’ve tried anywhere. There’s also a well-stocked fridge with drinks, local produce, and chilled wines all beautifully presented and perfect for grabbing something extra to take home. I also loved how everything is so well thought out, from the quality of the bread to the balance in the flavour pairings (like their miso mushrooms on toast incredible). You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they serve. Whether you’re popping in for brunch, a coffee, or a treat to go, Skaus is consistently excellent. Highly recommend!

Went in for lunch today, I didn’t think there was a table free so went outside to tell my husband but the lovely staff member informed me that there was window seating and when a table became free, they would move us if we wanted. Now on to the food, it was absolutely incredible. Everything came out perfectly cooked and the homemade hash browns are a must order. Needless to say, we will be returning very soon. Thank you 🤩

The place is calm and cozy, but it felt a bit stuffy, and the bright white lighting was annoying and gave me a headache. The coffee was amazing! I ordered a vanilla latte and almond croissant, and they were absolutely perfect!
