The place is calm and cozy, but it felt a bit stuffy, and the bright white lighting was annoying and gave me a headache. The coffee was amazing! I ordered a vanilla latte and almond croissant, and they were absolutely perfect!

Visited this lovely, little place yesterday. Great coffee, fabulous food. The French toast with bacon and Brie was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted! Lovely, friendly staff. Will definitely visit again😊

Went in for lunch today, I didn’t think there was a table free so went outside to tell my husband but the lovely staff member informed me that there was window seating and when a table became free, they would move us if we wanted. Now on to the food, it was absolutely incredible. Everything came out perfectly cooked and the homemade hash browns are a must order. Needless to say, we will be returning very soon. Thank you 🤩

On the pricier end, but the meatballs, miso mushrooms on toast & coffee were delicious, and worth it!

Excellent lunchtime menu. Popped in for a quick lunch. We had smashed avocado with poached egg and smoked haddock kedgeree . Cooked to order perfectly. Kedgeree was like a risotto and delicious 😋

Always great to visit here for brunch with friends. Friendly staff and amazing soda bread as always. Coffee 10/10

Don't do what we did and order before checking the prices on the menu ! We ordered a tea, latte and 2 rounds of sourdough toast and it came to over £13 ! When we checked the prices the toast was £5.50 !! 🙀 Really for 2 pieces of toast and a bit of butter !! This café is style over substance, sorry to say it isn't aimed at someone like me and in future I'll spend my money more wisely.

Love everything about Skaus! The food is quality! Love that they are not shy of flavour. The home cooked, brunch/lunch menu is really tasty. You can take tasty treats home such as fresh baked bread, wines, pastries, kimchi or home made portions of scouse. One of my favourite places in Liverpool.
