Amazing and fantastic stay at this place! Such a great hostel! Even cooked our own foods and invited the host to join in. Very comfortable on our stay! Big and spacious rooms. We felt safe and enjoyed our time there. The only thing that needs to be addressed is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. BEST place to stay! Highly recommended!

I attended an Irish language course nearby and they recommended this hostel. I was a bit unsure as I had 3 children with me and wasn’t sure a hostel would be the best place for them. I needn’t have worried. Freda, the owner, completely reassured me before I came and she was right. It was safe, clean, comfortable and fun. There were other families there and the children had a ball, quoting it as one of the best places they stayed in. ||The room was a large family room with a bathroom next door. The kitchen and dining area was well equipped with crockery and basic tea, coffee, salt, sauces etc. We just brought our own food, had breakfast every morning and did a mix of cooking and eating out for dinner. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The guests we met very friendly too. There is a communal games and TV room and a small outside grass are for the children to play on. I’d definitely recommend to all. Freda, the owner made cakes regularly for all guests to enjoy too, a nice touch.||Beach is a short walk away and we used the car to go to Portmagee, Valentia Island, Chocolate factory, McGills Brewery, Kerry Cliffs, Waterville to name some.

Freda was lovely and the place was spotless. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a nice breakfast and the view was gorgeous. The rooms were basic but comfortable and very clean. As a very picky traveler, I was very happy and surprised at just how nice it was.

This was our first time staying in a Hostel. I was pleasantly surprised. Owner was very nice, welcoming and accommodating. When I asked if there was a nearby laundry facility, she very kindly offered to do it for us and had it done by that evening. ||The only complaint is that the beds could be a little more comfortable. We will definitely return on our next Ireland vacation.

This is a large hostel that didn't have many guests. Maybe that's why it has applied to convert to 6 self-contained holiday apartments! It has a good kitchen and dining room and my room had the basic facilities I paid for.

Largish hostel built like a small housing development. On hillside overlooking Ballinskelligs – easy to find. Buildings are modern and well maintained. Rooms was almost to hotel standards – I had en-suite which was modern and clean. Communal kitchen and dining room available – plenty of space, and good facilities. Plenty of fridge space. There used to be a TV lounge here, but COVID seems to have knocked that out for the time being. Free WiFi in common area (ie dining room) was good. Loads of on-site parking. Stayed here for seven nights – excellent base for exploring this beautiful corner of Ireland.

Had a lovely stay here. Rooms are clean and cosy, we had an ensuite so no shared bathroom ,shower was electric and a great shower i didn't want to get out of, heater on the wall to warm up the bathroom if needs be, bed was comfy, also have an electric heater in the bedroom so can turn it on or off to your liking. Others that were staying were respectful and considerate of everyone staying there. Now the best part of staying here was the owner Tereza, she was extremely kind, she contacted me on arrival day to let me know even before i got there that my room was ready, and checked in to see if everything was going okay during the stay.

This hostel is quite charming, clean and comfortable. The hostess is an energetic delight. The kitchen and dining room are homey. Nice ‘living room’ too. The beach is a short walk with the remains of a castle and abbey just a bit further.
