24 Best Things to Do in Dubai

"If you can dream it, Dubai can execute it, and Ski Dubai is proof. Want to ski indoors then step outside into warm weather? This is the place. Maintaining freezing temperatures all year long, this ski resort provides guests with ski suits to keep them cozy. Lessons are available, and there's even a chair lift — and penguins — inside." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"It's All Downhill From Here Admit it; you're curious. A ski hill in the middle of the desert, on the Persian Gulf, no less, is as wild an idea as humankind has ever concocted—but isn't dreaming big what Dubai is all about? The slopes at Ski Dubai are no substitute for Jackson Hole or Vail, of course, but then again, they're not supposed to be. You go simply for the experienceof leaving a housewares shop, sauntering down the hall, and hitting the slopes. Allthe gear required can be rented at Ski Dubai: They even have long overcoats for women in abayas. You can ski or sled, roll down the hill in inflatable plastic balls, frolic with penguins, or even just ride the chairlifts back and forth. When you'refinished skiing, you can head back into the mall for a meal or a movie. You know, just another day in Dubai."

The 25 Best Things to Do in Dubai

"In the middle of a mall in the desert, the world's third-largest indoor ski slope is a sight to behold. A daily lift ticket will run you about $138 (excluding equipment rentals), while a Snow Daycation pass, which primarily provides access to the non-skiing parts of the mountain like tubing, costs $75 per person, and you should plan to get there early. The place is filled with families with kids, most of whom are taking part in various rides, penguin visits and the Snow Cinema instead of skiing. If you're here to shred, there are two runs and a dedicated freestyle area (but Vail this is not)." - Melinda Healy

Ski Dubai is a wonderful place to escape the hot weather. It's inside the Mall of the Emirates, and it’s amazing to see real snow in the middle of Dubai! As soon as we entered, everything was neat and well-organized. Whether you're trying skiing for the first time or already know how to ski, there’s something fun for everyone. You can go skiing, snowboarding, ride the chair lift, try tobogganing, or play in the snow area made for kids. The Snow Park has lots of fun activities, and the penguin show was the best part; very cute and special! They give you all the clothes and equipment you need, and everything was clean and ready to use. The staff was kind, friendly, and very helpful, especially with beginners. They explained safety rules clearly, so we felt safe the whole time. Inside, it feels like a real ski resort with cold weather, snowy hills, and even a café where you can enjoy hot chocolate and watch people skiing. Ski Dubai is a great place for families, tourists, and even people living in Dubai. It’s full of fun, excitement, and great memories. I highly recommend visiting!

We had an amazing time at Ski Dubai! It was our first visit, and we were a group of six, some of us have lived in Dubai for over 15 years but had never been until now. We planned our visit in advance and booked our tickets the night before to make sure everything was set. We also read other Google reviews, which helped us prepare the right clothing like bonnets, and leggings under pants so we wouldn’t feel too cold inside. We arrived around 3 PM to make the most of our time, and we ended up spending a good three hours enjoying the activities and taking lots of photos. The place is well-organized, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The whole area was clean, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to returning the gear. We availed one of the activity packages and got to try everything that was included we honestly forgot the names of the individual attractions, but each one was a lot of fun! It was such a great way to escape the intense summer heat outside and enjoy something completely different. After our snowy adventure, we capped the day off with a delicious meal nearby (we had Dim Sum!) a perfect way to end a memorable family day. Thank you, Ski Dubai, for the awesome experience! Highly recommended for both tourists and long-time Dubai residents who haven’t been yet.

"A magical snowy escape in the heart of the desert!" Ski Dubai is truly a one-of-a-kind experience! Who would’ve thought you could ski, snowboard, and play with real snow right in the middle of a mall in Dubai? The place is immaculately maintained, with a great variety of activities for all ages. We absolutely loved the ski slopes – suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. The Snow Park is perfect for families – the toboggan runs, tubing rides, and giant zorbing balls kept us entertained for hours. The penguin encounter was such a special highlight – getting up close with these adorable creatures was a unique experience we’ll never forget. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, making sure everyone had a fun and safe time. The gear provided was clean and of good quality, and the entire facility was well-organized. Ski Dubai is a must-visit attraction in Dubai, offering something refreshingly different. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just want to play in the snow, it's 100% worth it!

Visiting Ski Dubai was such a fun and unforgettable experience! From skiing and snowboarding to playing in the snow park, there’s something exciting for everyone. The indoor snow area is magical, especially for first-timers or anyone who’s never seen snow before. Booking tickets in advance is a must, especially during weekends or holidays, as it gets quite busy.

Ski Dubai was an amazing escape from the summer heat! Stepping into real snow while it’s over 40°C outside was such a fun and refreshing experience. The snow park is well-organized and clean, with friendly staff and good safety measures. I tried the chairlift and loved watching the slope from above. The penguin encounter was a unique highlight — very well-managed and adorable to see.

It’s not too crowded! If you want to escape the heat, this is a great place to be. The ride time is decent, and the lift wait isn’t too long. I recommend getting the 2-hour pass!

My kids and I had the best half day ever. We loved the rides and the ski coaching session was phenomenal. The staff is helpful . They do provide you complimentary hand gloves but those aren’t helpful at all. They then advise you to buy better ones which made me a little upset as the recreation cost should cover this. But this was just a small inconvenience. We loved the hot chocolate they give you while you are freezing and it was delicious

I was expecting a better experience but honestly the place is not very well taken care of, however the staff are super friendly and will make the experience nice. The locker and changing area is so messy. I wouldn’t recommend the place.
