Ski Hill Cabins and Saunas

We were genuinely blown away by the quality and comfort of these cabins. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that both the interior and exterior were thoughtfully designed, easily among the best we’ve seen in Duluth. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and perfectly suited for our group, with every amenity we could have hoped for. One of the highlights was the sauna, it was absolutely incredible and added a luxurious touch to our stay. We found ourselves raving about the cabins throughout the entire trip. In fact, we were so impressed that we’ve already made plans to return this year and this time, we’re renting more than one cabin. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and memorable stay in Duluth, this is the place. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the Grey cabin at Ski Hill Cabins & Sauna in Lutsen! I brought my family up after running Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth looking for a little R&R and boy did it deliver. From the early check-in to the attentive responses from Patrick & McCabe over texts we were really pleased. The sauna was a huge plus my wife and I took advantage of too. We also enjoyed the close access to Lutsen Mountain right up the road to enjoy the gondola ride and alpine slide. If we are ever back on the North Shore we will be sure to stay at Ski Hill!

My family and our friends (3 adults and 5 kids) stayed over a week in February and we could not have had a better stay. The cabin fit us all with room to spare and gave off the homely feel you look for in a cabin. The cabin was supplied with everything you could ever need including coffee, games, puzzles, books, and a fireplace to enjoy them by! They even had a step stool, for us vertically challenged folk 🤣. Aside from being super close to the ski hill and having your own sauna, to use at your hearts desire, the entire cabin has heated floors!! 🥰 The best part was the friendly owner Patrick. Willing to help at a moments notice and could not have been more kind. Honestly can't thank him enough! I would HIGHLY recommend staying here with your family and friends, any opportunity you may have!

We throughly enjoyed our visit from the Minneapolis area. The cabins were immaculate. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was supplied to make food with adequate tools. It was a great stay. The sauna is a perfect way to finish a day of hiking. We also visited the neighboring wine and cider tasting room. The cabins are perfectly situated in Lutsen. It is a central location for driving short distances to hike, explore waterfalls, and visit the cute town of Grand Marais. The owners are available and prompt with any questions. The design and quality of the cabin quality shows. This will continue to be our first pick for the North Shore.

We love this location, the cabins are beautiful & so very comfortable. Great location for day hikes, evening campfires and saunas on demand. Everything is cozy, clean and very welcoming! Highly recommend! We will be back!

The property was outstanding, and the location couldn't have been better. The home boasts a modern design with impressive, large windows that create an outdoor-like ambiance. The home is located very close to the slopes, walkable distance if needed. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

The cabins are beautifully designed, very clean and well appointed. The saunas are fantastic and a unique amenity for the area. The location is ideal for access to both downhill and Nordic skiing. We enjoyed our winter family vacation (4 people) at the grey cabin, we have stayed in green before with a group of friends as well. We will return.

We chose the accommodations based on the design features, awesome views and proximity to Lutsen! Immediately upon arrival the place felt like home because the design style, kitchen cookware, and even the door mats were the same as I chose for my own home! Sauna was great and the private, quiet setting overlooking the forest was such an nice departure from staying in the lodge. The cabin is super quiet and cozy with the radiant floor heat and fireplace. We shared many laughs while hanging out, playing games and sharing a hearty meal after some long days on the slopes. The kitchen and generous dining table accommodated our large family with ease. Patrick and McCabe were friendly and easily reachable for help with any questions we had. We encountered no issues during our stay and everything was clean and beautiful. Looking forward to our next visit.
