Ski Hill Cabins and Saunas

We rented 2 of their 4 cabins for 12 guys while we played golf nearby at Superior National. The cabins were just what we needed, simple, comfortable and close to the action. The saunas were a nice add for fall golf recovery and relaxation. The Ski Hill Cabins and Sauna team was tremendous to work with, they were an email or text away if we needed anything. I just hope they're available next time I go to Lutsen!

We had the best family vacation at the cabins. The design and feel will blow you away! The views from the rooms are fantastic and everything about the cabins is so relaxing! They have everything you need...the location is fantastic too! We loved visiting the Gondolas, alpine slide and nearby winery as well as hiking in cascade falls and visiting grand marais. The perfect location for an unforgettable family vacation. We will be back!!

We were genuinely blown away by the quality and comfort of these cabins. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that both the interior and exterior were thoughtfully designed, easily among the best we’ve seen in Duluth. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and perfectly suited for our group, with every amenity we could have hoped for. One of the highlights was the sauna, it was absolutely incredible and added a luxurious touch to our stay. We found ourselves raving about the cabins throughout the entire trip. In fact, we were so impressed that we’ve already made plans to return this year and this time, we’re renting more than one cabin. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and memorable stay in Duluth, this is the place. Highly recommended!

It was beautiful, and in a beautiful location. We used the sauna each night, and had a fire one evening. A great place to gather with a large group. The access to the loft is more of a ladder, and would be difficult for older adults or people with disabilities. The facilities are very well maintained, and the hosts are responsive.

Excellent place to stay. Nestled between Lutsen Mountain and the North Shore Winery, both just a minute or two drive or a few minutes walking. Good privacy between the four standalone units. They’ve got a complimentary wood shack loaded to the gills with dry firewood. Everything you need is in the unit. If the cost is a little more than you’d prefer, keep in mind you can use the full kitchen to make meals and save versus going out on every meal. Beds were comfortable and the entire unit was very clean. Great views out the huge living room windows behind the fireplace.

We throughly enjoyed our visit from the Minneapolis area. The cabins were immaculate. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was supplied to make food with adequate tools. It was a great stay. The sauna is a perfect way to finish a day of hiking. We also visited the neighboring wine and cider tasting room. The cabins are perfectly situated in Lutsen. It is a central location for driving short distances to hike, explore waterfalls, and visit the cute town of Grand Marais. The owners are available and prompt with any questions. The design and quality of the cabin quality shows. This will continue to be our first pick for the North Shore.

We loved our stay at the Grey cabin at Ski Hill Cabins & Sauna in Lutsen! I brought my family up after running Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth looking for a little R&R and boy did it deliver. From the early check-in to the attentive responses from Patrick & McCabe over texts we were really pleased. The sauna was a huge plus my wife and I took advantage of too. We also enjoyed the close access to Lutsen Mountain right up the road to enjoy the gondola ride and alpine slide. If we are ever back on the North Shore we will be sure to stay at Ski Hill!

We love this location, the cabins are beautiful & so very comfortable. Great location for day hikes, evening campfires and saunas on demand. Everything is cozy, clean and very welcoming! Highly recommend! We will be back!
