The Best Camping in Georgia, From Stone Mountain to Savannah

"Located 15 minutes from coastal Savannah, Skidaway Island State Park is part of Georgia’s Intracoastal Waterway. The campground is situated between live oaks and under a canopy of Spanish moss, offering more than 80 campsites for tents, trailers, and RVs. There’s plenty to do at Skidaway: don’t leave without visiting the boardwalk and observation tower, and kids will enjoy the interpretive center, where they’ll find a reptile room, birding books, and a 20-foot replica of a giant ground sloth."

Skidaway Island Park is a great place to visit if you want to do some hiking. We went on a couple trails they weren't super long I think we covered little over 2 mi. Very easy to navigate very well marked. I love meandering through the Georgia woods with its big trees and little swamps. It also took us alongside the marsh which was really nice I did drive up to the visitor center which was quite impressive I've never seen a visitor center so big and so filled with really nice items I was going to talk about my park pass but the lady was quite busy. So I never did get to talk to the customer service lady But it really looks like a great campground also. I liked that it was spread out and looked pretty private very quiet. I'd love to stay here overnight with my camper van or even for a week The great place really Stop and take a look if you want a place to hike that's easy or even bite that looks like people could bike on some of the trails too again not a lot of mileage what a great place for short hikes

Google
Great cozy area! It was great to take our dogs on different walking paths every day. Also, the sites had plenty of room; only thing was when we booked over the phone the gentleman said it was a full hookup and it wasn’t but there was a dump station on site.

Google
This is our second time within three years to camp at Skidaway Island State Park. We love it here. We walk at least 2-3 miles daily and this park has the trails and roads to accommodate our walking schedule. The shade trees are large and beautiful. The park is just minutes from downtown Savannah. The staff are amazing. The park is beautiful, shady, family and pet friendly.

Google
Absolutely gorgeous and well maintained state park. The only thing that caught me off guard was that parking passes $5/day is in addition to camping fee. Prices were a little steep for tent camping and there are no non-electric sites. Staff and campgrpund hosts were super friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Google
My family came to hike here on Christmas and it was gorgeous! Just 20-30 mins outside Savannah. The trails were pretty flat and easy to navigate. I’d highly recommend for people of all ages.

Google
Great amenity blocks. Good walking. Lovely forest to walk in the the twoish trails. Saw lots of birds, alligators, and deer. Parking for RVs is dirt and easy to level on. See the sloth inside!

Google
Wonderful campground with perfect location to visit Savannah. Several walking trials in the park that were dog friendly and easy to get to right from campsite. We enjoyed our visit. Was able to accommodate a large rig such as ours.

Google
Camped here through Hurricane Helene. Staff was amazing before, during, and after the storm… cannot say enough in praise of the supervisor in charge during our stay and even days afterward when she reconciled our fees. Lovely park, Facilities very clean and accessible, sites nice.

Yelp
There is a five dollar entrance fee but the park is very big and seems to have a lot to explore within it. Would be a nice place to camp as well. The trails are not difficult if compared to the Appalachian and has plenty of benches to rest at.

Yelp
Skidaway Island State Park. A very nice state park just southeast of Savannah, Georgia. We were there for 4 nights recently when Savannah had snow. It was quite a different camping experience for us north Floridians. Side note, we learned that our Grand Design 22mle has a good heater. This park has some great trails but our exploring them by foot and bike was limited due to the icy and muddy conditions as the snow melted. We plan to return in better weather to fully explore all of the trails. The park office/camp store is the nicest I have seen. It even has a mini-nature museum with a giant sloth skeleton and several snakes displayed in terrariums. Kids will enjoy this area. There are 4 campgrounds. Each has a bathhouse. We were in site 2, a pull through site in area 1. Gravel sites mostly appear to be pretty level. The bathhouses in our area 1 is the closest to the park office and seemed to be a bit older than the others in different areas. The other bathhouses looked newer and definitely had better heat. These newer ones were set up in the typical locker room type set up of toilets and showers. However, the older one in area 1 had 6 individual bathrooms, 4 of those included showers, as well as a laundry room. The camp hosts did a good job keeping the bathhouses clean considering everybody's snowy/muddy shoes and boots. Several of the sites in area 1 were also equipped with full hook ups. I do not think any of the other 3 camp areas had any sites with full hook ups. A nice touch in this park were the several dog poo bag dispenser stations and disposal containers along the roadways near the bathhouses. The playgrounds and picnic shelters looked well equipped and nice as did the exercise area, but due to the snow they were not being used. If you camp here you can expect to see many deer, raccoons and a variety of birds as we did. You will also see and hear military jets from time to time from the base in Savannah. There is a University of Georgia oceanography facility/campus nearby that has an aquarium open to the public but it was closed due to the snow event. Savannah is about a 20 min. drive but we stayed east of town and found grocery stores and restaurants we liked between Skidaway and Savannah. We enjoyed Sand Fly BBQ in Sand Fly and Desposito's for seafood out toward Wilmington Island. We look forward to revisiting Skidaway State Park.

Yelp
Had a very nice time visiting SI State Park. We visited on a Friday morning for some hiking on a beautiful September day. We were warned about the mosquitos but did not have a problem. I can imagine in the summer months it can be quite humid and hot. We walked about 3.5 miles of the various trails. They were well marked and mostly in the shade from the trees. Very easy hike with no elevation. The only thing you had to watch was the tree roots throughout the paths. We visited the welcome center which looks rather new. Staff were very nice and helpful. Definitely worth the $5 entrance fee.

Yelp
The islands around Savannah don't have a ton of ocean access, but this state park offers something different. A small entry fee (per car, not per person) leads to a set of trails that include a tour of the coastal landscape, including a shell midden which the path seems to haphazardly run through, pieces of a Prohibition-era still, and a walkway out into the marsh for a viewing platform. The sounds and smells are as big a part of the experience as the sights, and while I passed a ranger-led tour group and several other parties, even on a busy day there was plenty of time to listen to the wind move through the trees. I didn't see a ton of wildlife and I was in a bit of a hurry, but there was certainly enough interesting terrain here to be worth a look.

Yelp
$5/car. We enjoyed the Sandpiper, Avian, and Big Ferry loop on a warm November day. Beautiful views.

Yelp
The best park in Chatham County. I highly recommend the guided walks. They're so informative and interesting.

Yelp
my site , 18, after a good rain sits in 2 inches of water. , so after the rain I went out looking for some dryer sites when we come back again. just about all of them are under at least 1/2 inch of water in some of the parking pads, some a lot more. and ever picnic pad surrounded with concrete were standing in water, cause it was being held back by the concrete. They need to come in here and build up the parking pads again

Yelp
The biodiversity here is amazing, and I love that I can bring my doggo along. We came on a Saturday, and paid $5 for a day pass. There was some construction going on at the visitor's center, but we didn't need it. There is plenty of parking, and there are areas for picnics and camping. (When I get brave enough I would love to camp over night!) There are three trails that all intersect with each other. One of them is a little longer than the others (I think 3mi?) but I got a little scared since it looked like we're were walking into dense nature and I'm still getting my Boston feet used to all the nature that's down here, LOL. This is a great place for a morning adventure before it gets too hot or too busy, and again, it's dog friendly so that helps too.

Yelp
Loved from 1st sight, the place is so peaceful sometimes the deer walk 10 yards or so away from us. Very friendly staff and the camp host are really great. Bathhouses clean and stocked. Grounds are kept perfect year around. Only down side is the 14 day stay maximum

Yelp
We placed to home but we couldn't find the trail on the western side, the Sandpiper. So we walked towards the campgrounds and eventually found the Eastern side of the trail. We were going to connect west back over to where the car was, but then came another obstacle. A "This is Closed" sign appeared in a fork in the road. It wasn't like a piece of paper had been slapped on just because of the virus, this was a weathered wooden sign planted in the earth, and looked like it had been there for a couple of years. So we turned around and finished the walk, about 3 miles total.  Oh but let me throw this in there too. The trail map said that there was an observation deck on the Eastern side of the trail, so I figured that would be a good spot to take some pictures. We got there and it was a 3 level tower, except there was no way to get to the 3rd level; you could only go to the 2nd level. But they had a garbage can right under a tiny hole that led to the 3rd deck so I guess somebody would have needed to give me a boost step in order to get on the top deck. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yelp
I love camping here. We stay for a weekend every year and it's always so clean and nice. It's generally pretty quiet and the employees are super friendly. Nice clean bathrooms and showers. It's close enough to downtown Savannah for tourist adventures but far enough away to have a quiet night by the fire.
google avatar

Yelp
Great state park, nice tree canopy and most all sites are shaded nicely, spacious camp sites with good amount of room between them. Clean facilities and perfect for bike riding. Short drive into savannah for site seeing. Early morning and evening wild deer. Highly recommend.

Jon M.

Yelp
Great Georgia state park. Very quiet and peaceful. Campground is clean and relatively close to downtown Savannah.

Yelp
Day 2 of 4. It's not too early to review this place. It's awesome. Well shaded...in July...I'm Ga. Enough said. Brand new facilities (office, showers, and a few sites too). Publix/BP two min drive away. Golf next door. Quiet nights. Large spaces. To be continued....

Yelp
I visit this well maintained state park a few times a year. It is the best example of the natural beauty and resources of Savannah. Well worth the parking fee (free if you choose to walk in). It is good for all ages as there is a nature center and playground (both currently under renovation), which are great for kids. My friend's children petted an alligator with a ranger's assistance of course (pre-covid). Numerous shelters and picnic tables are available. Now for the best part, the hiking. I usually start at the Sandpiper Trail by the nature center. The trails are connected with each other in a series of loops. I recommend setting aside two hours for your visit and more if you plan to picnic. The trails near the nature center are about a mile each with boardwalks and sand trails right by the water's edge at times. Little shade so in the summer it can be intense. I usually walk all the loops but you can park further in the park to access the Ferry Loop, which gives you a 360 view of the wetlands and has an observation tower. Not too high but the area is mostly flat so you have an unobstructed view. This park is practically a bird refuge. There is a strong chance that you will find egrets and blue herons. The next series of loops- has a larger variety of fauna due to the higher calcium deposits and some remains of a moonshine distillery. If you are a biker, this section allows access. The trails have benches along the way to rest and enjoy the water views. Not the full stars because of human progress. The Truman Highway, great for commuting but is a view distraction in the distant background. Some tips: If you choose to extend your hike, there is an oceanographic center down the road with a small trail. If it rained during the week the trails near the center can become muddy. Goes without saying but sunscreen and water in the summer are strongly recommended if you plan to hike all the sections.

Yelp
Super great state park! Very well maintained. The staff and volunteers were great. Nice sites. Very shady. Tons of ticks here so come prepared for you and your pets. The playground and nature center are being rebuilt. Looks like they will be great! Great state park. Seems to always be full!

Yelp
This park is one of the most interesting ones I have ever visited. The entrance alone is gorgeous; Spanish moss hanging from the tall beautiful trees... It made me feel like I was entering Jurassic Park, HAHAHA. It was gorgeous! It makes you feel as though you are entering a different dimension. I chose one of the trails that the park has to offer that leads to the observation tower. I wasn't sure if I was going the right way since the trail looks like it doesn't get a lot of traffic, but I finally found the tower and was filled with an immediate peace. The area surrounding the tower looks as though it was a lake at one point in time, but now does not have any water. Other plant life has taken over and it looks somewhat abandoned, but it has charm to it. The tower looks as though it's 3 stories, but in fact you can only go up to the 2nd floor. The view is priceless. It offers a 360 degree view of the entire island - literally a photographers dream. There are signs warning you about bobcats, birds, and other wild life so naturally I was looking behind me with every sound of a tree branch breaking, LOL. I captured so many beautiful photos and truly enjoyed my visit.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our visit to Skidaway Island State Park. There was ample parking, friendly park staff, clean and well-maintained restrooms, and even a dog bowl underneath the water fountains. All of the trails were well-maintained with lots of shade and stunning scenery with the classic Savannah Spanish moss. We just went for a brief nature walk, it was the middle of August and hot for both us and the dogs. It was a Friday morning and we only saw a few other people out there, so it was nice to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature in mostly solitude.

Yelp
Visiting Savannah, I wanted to do more scenic/outdoorsy things, so Skidaway Island State Park was a definite yes for me. It is only a short drive away from downtown Savannah. And after coming here, I highly recommend it. The entrance fee is $5 (which is only valid for one day and is hung up by front window of the car). When I asked the staff which trail was the most popular, they quickly replied Sandpiper Trail. Time was running late and the sun was on it's way down. So we settled for the one and only Sandpiper Trail. At first, it was a bit confusing to get to the trailhead. Even with the park map & the gps, it took some time for me to actually get started on the trail. I wish there was more clear signage. But with much guessing, going in the wrong direction and asking people walking around, we found our way on the trail. The Sandpiper Trail is definitely a trail worth checking out. It's a very flat trail that loops around. It's fairly simple/easy trail. I was able to complete it in 30 minutes. There's a lot of trees and the air is fresh. It's the perfect stroll for my parents and I as we ended our day. We got out of the park before it got dark. My only regret is not being able to come earlier to explore more, but even that one trail was worth the money paid.

Beth C.

Yelp
I stopped here to do some hiking/ sightseeing along the trails. It was so hot last week that I first stopped in the gift shop. The people working behind the counter were so nice and informative. I decided to rent a bike for $6 and do the 3 mile loop. It was so fun and beautiful!

Yelp
One of our favorite parks in the state of Georgia! We've been coming every year for the week of Thanksgiving for most of the last 10 years and love it every time. The sites are all a nice size and the Spanish moss in the live oak trees makes for a really scenic camping area. Most of the sites are relatively flat - a few have a bit of a slope to them, but it's not serious. The local wildlife makes sitting around the campfire fun. Squirrels jumping around in the trees, egrets in the marsh water, armadillos rummaging around at dusk, and the occasional deer wandering around. This year we saw a big owl in a tree just outside of our RV at about 4:00 PM. He was hooting as a squirrel was teasing him on the next tree. The best part of this park is that it's only a few minutes from downtown Savannah. This is the only park where we normally eat out more than dine around the campfire. So many good choices. The exception is the day that we grill a few pounds of shrimp on the campfire grate - toss them in a little seasoning and lay them on the grate for a delicious meal. Who needs a Thanksgiving turkey? Fall means that we miss the mosquitos, which I'm sure are plentiful during the summer months. Maybe I'm wrong here, but I don't think I'd take that chance with all of the water surrounding the park and knowing how coastal bugs can be. Trails are great for walking or biking. There's always plenty to see or do (or eat) nearby.

Yelp
Beautiful, clean and family friendly. brought our dog One of my favorite parks in Savannah! Last went Easter weekend of 2021 and they even had a Easter Egg hunt for the kids. I think the entry was $5-10 so not bad. Lots of Savannah moss and palm trees. A few trails so you could easily spend hours. Also a picnic area
google avatar

Denese H.

Yelp
This place is beautiful. Here in February so a bit of rain and no bugs! Visitor center looks brand new and beautifully appointed Campsites are private, large, with water and electric. Dump station is an easy in and out. gate closes at ten but we are usually back by then. Night time was really quiet. Rangers areyy nice. We would defiantly come back.
google avatar

Beth C.

Yelp
Tick-tastic!! Make sure you bring bug repellent and that your four-legged friends are on a flea and tick preventative, because we've never seen so many ticks in our lives. And be mindful of where your smaller dogs are in the evening, as we've heard bobcats here. But even that doesn't dissuade us from stopping here year after year on our journeys down to Florida. Many of the campsites are absolutely palatial, it typically stays very quiet, and the hiking and mountain biking opportunities are magical. The WiFi is only available near the camp store where you check in, which I think is a blessing because it gives you an opportunity to unplug. That said, I'm using my partner's mobile hot spot to get some work done this morning so I'm not altogether following my own advice! There's plenty to explore here, so we recommend staying at least a couple nights to have plenty of time to get lost on the paths. They offer a pretty incredible discount for seniors. The folks who are checking in at the same time as I did were thrilled to get a $72 refund on the reservation when they can't answer it in the informative when the clerk asked them if anyone in their party was a senior. Military discounts are available as well.

Yelp
Yesterday was a walk in the park. Literally. We walked two easy trails; Flat. Hot. No bikes allowed. 3 miles total approximately. Tidal coastal marshes. Some wildlife. Some history. Confederate army hid out here n there. Good old boys built a whiskey still here. Etc. Etc.. Got well needed exercise, not done a lot in the week road trip so far. Took some pics. Pity the interactive center is closed on a Monday. Paid 5 bucks to park the car. This big state park has campgrounds, picnic tables etc. It was very quiet yesterday. We recommend Skidaway Island state Park when y'all wish to slow down and escape the tourist scene for a few hours. Pics to come.

Yelp
I feel like with a park you're commenting on the amenities since nature is nature haha. The playgrounds are nice and well maintained. The restrooms are well stocked and clean. The visitors center was neat and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a great day there and plan to come back and stay overnight.
google avatar

Heidi J.

Yelp
The land and trails are great!!! The playgrounds are upkept and being redone. Lots of signage too!! But here's were it lost stars I went into the "center" near the main parking. The staff didn't even acknowledge I walked in. I'm not sure where that southern charm went because the two staff didn't stop talking about another employee... like a really rude conversation. Also no masks at all neither wore one! I was completely shocked. Especially for a conservative area. Like protect our wildlife, stay on trails, don't pick flowers but we don't care about your life let me cough on you with no mask. Definitely do the trails but stay away from the center

Yelp
During COVID this is a must visit spot near savannah, georgia. My boyfriend and I visited this trail on a Wednesday morning and didn't see many people in the park, for most of our walks we were completely alone! The trails are all well maintained, easy to walk, and a great place for bird watching. Grab a map in the beginning of the park to see where the trails are at. There are pretty good signs if you just drive around too.
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
What a very nice state park and we just drove through it to look around. Guard at the entrance was so polite and friendly. Nice to have it so close by. Looking forward to biking there, eventually.

Nancy C.

Yelp
The sites are massive, and the trails fun for walking or biking with opportunities to see a wonderful sunset. We are very close to Tybee Island area, downtown Savannah and made a quick day trip to Hilton Head. The bugs/gnats are a pretty regular nuisance but fires or lit incense help.
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
If you are looking for roomy campsites, clean restrooms, and friendly employees, look no further. Now, this is not a typical state park with long hiking trails, scenic vistas, and spectacular wilderness, but it does fill the bill for a really nice place to camp close to Savannah. There are some short hiking loop trails, playgrounds for the kids, and a nice nature center. You can catch a trolly each morning from the campground office, which will take you to Historic Savannah and back again in time to enjoy some evening campfire time before a quiet night's rest.
google avatar

Lane M.

Yelp
A gorgeous park that is well tended with helpful rangers. They have really nice playground and walking trails and a fitness playground for adults! There's also a lot of activity to be engaged in. The activities are listed on Facebook.
google avatar

Lauren Ashley M.

Yelp
The gift shop attendants were not helpful at all, but they have some really cool stuff. My kids loved the snakes and the playground

Yelp
Beautiful nature trail great for dogs. Lots of palm trees and places to hang out in a hammock.

Yelp
This review is solely for the campground. I can now mark GA State Parks off of my bucket list. I must say that this was one of the most well-maintained state parks that I've ever been to. Georgia state parks need to teach other states a thing or two. The trolley to Savannah only runs Friday and Saturday. We missed that since we checked in on a Sunday. None the less, it's worth the mention. The $5 per day extra "parking fee" was a little annoying. I don't think that they should charge that for campers who are already paying $45 per night. I guess they think, we'll just make it an even $50. Apparently, seniors 62 and over get a significant discount, so there were a lot of seniors and not a lot of children. All of the sites were prime and spacious. There literally didn't seem like a bad spot in the park. A few had sewer hook-ups, but those apparently book up at least 4 months in advance. Most of the spots were pull through, which is rare to have so many in one park. The entire park was full of trees, so all of the sites were shaded. We spotted a deer one evening, right before dusk. The bathhouse was clean and central to most of the sites. The hiking trails were a little ways from the campground area, we didn't realize that area circled around the campground, until the morning of check-out. Most of our days were spent in Savannah, so other than the leisurely stroll around the sites, we weren't seeking to hike.

Belinda C.

Yelp
Very nice state park. Campsites are big and lots of shade. Nice well maintained trails. The visitor center has a fun gift shop.

Yelp
Campground: 07/22/17 - 07/25/17. Me, hubby, and Mickey, our 6lb Pom. This is our second stay at a GA state park this month (from SC), so we purchased the "Family Membership" for $80.00. That will pay for itself in one weekend visit, not to mention the additional discounts that come with it. This was a last minute trip. We were just going to stay the weekend (I work Monday), but hubby is off through Tuesday, so we purchased an additional night with our new discount, so hubby and Mickey will stay while I slave away at work! The park is BEAUTIFUL! Our spot, Site #74 in campground #3, is spacious with a good amount of shade. We have PLENTY of space for our pop-up, 4-door jeep, and my car towing 2 kayaks. Very pet friendly, including clean-up stations throughout the park. We arrived after 8pm last night, so I decided to wait until today to take a shower. Woke up to a note on the camper door that a site had a broken water pipe, so all water will be shut off until 4pm. Guess I'll be driving home grungy. Definitely no fault of the park, just life. Good thing I travel with tons of wipes! The office/gift shop closes at 8pm. When we arrived shortly after 8pm last night, the Ranger that was driving by stopped to see if I needed any help and pointed me in the right direction for after-hours instructions (didn't get her name); very nice and helpful. When we went to register at the office this morning, Rowan and Caitlin were on duty at the desk. They were AWESOME! Very knowledgeable about their services, very helpful, and SUPER nice!!! They also confirmed that all GA state parks are first-come, first-serve (or not site-specific reservations). I don't particularly care for that, but it works to your advantage if someone leaves a day early. Also, the narrow roads are 2-way roads throughout. Haven't had a problem yet, but it could be for those with bigger rigs than ours. So far, it seems everyone sticks to driving as if they ARE one way, which is probably why we haven't had an issue. We'll definitely visit again when "I" can stay longer!

Danny L.

Yelp
Outstanding experience for the occasion. Normally I am camping, but not this time. Excellent place to spend time with out of town relatives/friends.

Laura F.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to camp by Savannah, this is it! The staff are all very friendly and the park is very scenic. The drive into the park is enough! There are plenty of walking trails and one bike trail. The campground is quiet and well laid out. Plenty of room! I highly recommend this state park.

Yelp
A great place for a run, hike, or camp for all levels of experience. There are a variety of views of natural areas along the winding trails and each one provides peace and comfort just as one would expect from nature...do i sound like a hippy yet. Well Im not, I am just an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys this park because of the spectacular beauty and alligator-less trails. Have you ever had you ankle snapped at by a gator? Well I have and its not fun! But seriously this place is relaxing...

Jason S.

Yelp
Great state park for camping. We stayed 2 nights on a level pull through site that is considerably larger than most campgrounds. There was a nice canopy of trees with Spanish moss that added to the beauty. The facilities were well maintained and the park had a newer welcome center and gift shop. There are well marked trails through the marsh for an easy hike as long as you get out before it gets too hot. We would definitely stay there again. No WiFi and cell signal is weak, but this is a state park.
google avatar

Hunter M.

Yelp
A wonderful way to escape into nature. If you like easier hikes and some great camping locations. Local wildlife is easy to spot. Lots of birds are on the island from song birds to large birds of pray. You can even see bald eagles.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
This was undoubtedly the best campground we have ever stayed at. Big private spots, beautiful trees and trails, water and electric with a few spots that have sewer. Unbelievably quiet!! Saw 5 deer on one of our walks. We stayed an extra day but wish we had an extra week. If we get back this way, I would definitely stay here again.

Office check in was easy enough. The two girls working the day we checked in were not very helpful or friendly. Our reservation was messed up. I understood it was not the fault of either of the girls checking us in but it would have been nice if one of them had at least said they were sorry about the mistake. What happened to Southern Hospitality? FYI do not get there even 5 minutes early because you will wait until 1:00 no matter what. That Bring said the sites are huge. Bath houses are clean and the roads to sites are good. We were having cable problems and one of the camp host (TOM our Hero as we like to call him) got us set up. Thank god because it rained part of our stay and we needed the TV to help keep us entertained. This campground is a great home base if you are going to Savannah and Tybee Island. PS Bring Bug Spray!

Yelp
Only able to stay one night since we're just passing through, but we will definitely be back. we were in number 43 but all of the sites are all well shaded, spaced apart nicely and incredibly spacious. Some sites have sewer, cable water and electric. We saw two pull-through sites. The park is beautifully-maintained overall and the staff couldn't be more friendly. It's only 15 minutes from downtown Savannah but quiet and serene. There are a few local restaurants located close by; definitely try Pearl's Waterfront Grille. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is a beautiful campground! The sites are huge and secluded. Ours faced the woods (site 11). Lots of hiking trails with beautiful scenery. Lots of level roads for easy bike riding! Great place to stay!

Yelp
Cabins and staff were best we have come across in a while. Trails are beautiful and interesting. We will definitely return!
