Fun movie night! Fantastic atmosphere and great food & drinks. Love that there are different options available for everyone, so you can have a special evening with 3 course dinner or keep it casual with a gourmet takeaway menu and snacks. The G&T's, Pink Granita & Frose were amazing! Look forward to coming to another event.

Had such a nice time at the new Skillogalee cellar door, the staff were so hospitable and kind, giving of their time and expertise about the wines- thanks Jackie!- and even though they had a big group they made sure I was looked after and every customer was looked after. What a great job they do. The barrel room/cellar door is cool even in the hot weather and is perfect for single visitors or groups. Hats off Skillogalee- and the wine portfolio is top notch- great variety and some faves included the sparkling riesling, all the rieslings, cab franc, grenache, cab sav, malbec.. special

Chose Skillogalee's Barrel House for our wedding anniversary lunch (with a couple of friends) and it definitely exceeded our expectations! We were made very welcome by Priscilla and the lovely Cheryl made sure our celebration was a special one. Nothing was too much trouble! And the meal was delicious - and the wine superb! Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful lunch at Skillogalee. We were a party of 11 and the service was perfect. Cheryl our waitress was always one step ahead of us anticipating our requests. The food was delicious and the pacing of time between each course was spot on. The dining area is well set out with minimal noise despite the large open space. We look forward to returning next time we are in Auburn.

Stayed here 4 nights, at around $250 per night. The smallest accommodation option they offer, with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and one separate toilet. Also has a full kitchen, lounge and dining room. At the time of booking, they state that breakfast provisions will be provided. Wow, the fridge was full of stuff (refer photos) : 16 eggs, 4 bacon packs, 2 packs of sausages, 4 tomatoes, 2L milk, 8 x OJ, fresh bread loaf, butter, multiple single yoghurts, cookies, cheese plate, multiple cans of soft drink, 2 beer cans, bottle of Riesling, carafe of Port, cereal, and the kitchen has tea, coffee, sugars, cooking oil, etc, etc. Amazing value and a short walk to the Winery if you plan on enjoying a long lunch. Highly recommended.

We stayed two days in the Wren cabin on Skillogalee Estate. Totally private and cosy with lots of room and a large slow-combustion fire. A beautiful setting just a short walk to the winery and restaurant where we had a delicious 3 course lunch with paired wines on our arrival overlooking the vines. The cabin was quiet and private. The fridge was generously stocked with goodies and a bottle of wine! We had our coffee on the large comfortable deck of the cabin and the car parked alongside the cabin but out of sight - very easy for loading/unloading etc. Wonderful staff at the winery also. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Experienced the wine tasting only. So much effort for only a « temporary » tasting room. From the toilets to the terrace, wether it’s the furniture, the decoration, the tapestry, you can see the refinement everywhere. A high end establishment comes with a high quality service: Iris hosted us with manners and knew her craft perfectly. Lovely to be guided by her through our tasting. The bresaola beside the tasting was delicious. Even the sparkling water was specially tasty. Easily in the top 3 of our tastings in Clare Valley. MUST visit!

From start to finish our time at Skillogalee Estate was such an amazing experience. We dined at the Barrel House and the service and food was sublime. We also were lucky to stay at the Owl Cottage on the estate which was wonderful. The cottage was so beautiful, clean and cozy. They even provided items for breakfast such as local bacon, eggs, milk and bread. The added special extras that they provided just added to the best experience. Thank you so much! We hope to come back soon!

Yelp
Skillogalee Wines was the most disappointing of our wine tour. The tasting area was miniscule, and it was difficult to fit everyone in there comfortably. There were 15 of us, and the staff seemed quite put out that we were crowding the space. One of them also seemed quite put out that we were there at all, and was on auto-pilot as she was pouring the wines. We had to ask quite often what it was that we were drinking, as she didn't bother telling us. I get the feeling that she thought we were just another drunk wine tour bus (not true), and didn't bother to find out whether we were serious about wine (which we were!). We were given some lovely wines to taste ... but they were way overpriced for what they were (one was $70 per bottle!!) - then again, the woman didn't give us much of a chance to savour the flavours, as she was rushing to get through them all and get us out of there. I don't think any of us purchased any wine there - and I think this was due mainly to the attitude of the staff. Won't be back here!
