We (a group of 7) were very impressed with our meals. We had the fixed shared menu and this was well catered for with people with allergies. We were still talking about the rhubarb on our way home! The wine was very nice and a nice selection of froth for the boys. Cheryl was amazing! We will be back.

Had possibly one of the most memorable meals of my life here?? Long lunch with an expert wine pairing, truly beautiful produce prepared with love, incredible view of the vineyards from the verandah. Did not feel rushed at all and had so much time to soak it all in. Not to be missed on a trip to the Clare Valley.

My wife and I have been here for our wedding anniversary and we couldn’t be happier with this choice. We had the long lunch and wine pairing experience and everything was delicious. We are usually pretty peaky regarding wine and food as we both coming from hospitality jobs. We really enjoyed the experience, the staff is lovely, Priscilla is the manager and she guided us through all courses with energy and knowledge. We are so grateful to her and all Skillogalee team for the amazing time, we will definitely come back! F&F

Our family stayed at Owl Cottage over the Xmas break. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and was very homely. Basically a fully self contained home. The fridge was packed with milk, bread, jams, fruit, bacon, eggs, juices, soft drinks, prepared cheese platter and of course wine. This was totally unexpected but was certainly appreciated. Communication prior to arriving and during our stay was first class. The views from the cottage made for a peaceful stay which was needed after a hectic 2024. Our stay was only 3 nights but could have stayed longer. We also dined at the restaurant which is subject to another review. In the end a great way to finish 2024. Thank you David and team.

We decided to book in for Lunch after recommendations from friends. Thankfully we were able to get an indoor table out of the heat of the day, some extra tables were added to accommodate other guests that would have been outside but this was explained nicely and it made the dining room feel homely and welcoming. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was sensational and I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. Will definitely have to put clare on the list of places to return just for lunch at Skillogalee. The view was wonderful and set in a lovely stone cottage.

We dined here to celebrate a milestone choosing the long lunch - vegan and were so impressed. Each dish was presented beautifully and had fantastic flavours - neither of us really like eggplant but the way they prepared it was lovely!! It's wonderful to have an iconic restaurant such as Skillogalee's catering to plant based / vegan diners also and we have definitely shared our recommendation to others. Extremely friendly, courteous staff, gorgeous wines and views - a fabulous experience all around and highly recommend it.

On the Riesling Trail for the day we parked up the ebikes and called in for a tasting. Such a gorgeous setting and friendly service. The king of the wines? The Estate Riesling of course. Once the restaurant reopens we hope to be back in Clare Valley to try it out. Highly recommended

Yelp
Skillogalee Wines was the most disappointing of our wine tour. The tasting area was miniscule, and it was difficult to fit everyone in there comfortably. There were 15 of us, and the staff seemed quite put out that we were crowding the space. One of them also seemed quite put out that we were there at all, and was on auto-pilot as she was pouring the wines. We had to ask quite often what it was that we were drinking, as she didn't bother telling us. I get the feeling that she thought we were just another drunk wine tour bus (not true), and didn't bother to find out whether we were serious about wine (which we were!). We were given some lovely wines to taste ... but they were way overpriced for what they were (one was $70 per bottle!!) - then again, the woman didn't give us much of a chance to savour the flavours, as she was rushing to get through them all and get us out of there. I don't think any of us purchased any wine there - and I think this was due mainly to the attitude of the staff. Won't be back here!
