This place is AMAZING! I felt so at home in the environment they made. I got an amazing French Dip that is the best I have ever had. The wait staff was also incredibly nice! The only problem I have with this place is that the bathrooms are a little cramped. But it is worth the trade off!

Get the burger, you won’t be disappointed! The food does take a while to come out after you order. Also, I’ve ordered my burger medium-rare on several occasions and it comes and medium-well. After waiting so long, I don’t bother sending it back since I don’t want to wait another 20-30 min. Great local spot! They just need more cooks.

Great food- onion soup is delicious! First time I’ve ever seen a burger on an English muffin, and it was a pleasant surprise and the char was great. Service was attentive and super nice!

Hands down best burger in Bayridge. The vibe is old school the beer is cold. What else you need? This place is seriously good. The decor is classic. Can’t wait to try the whole menu.

One of my absolute favorite eateries in Brooklyn. The food is amazing with a delicious variety of appetizers and entrees and a great selection of alcohol to take your troubles away.

My first time here, the burgers were great but the ribs were to die for. Meat falling right off the bone. I'm coming back for more. Totally recommend this place!!!

Near the end of the R, this restaurant provides a decent burger and nice selection of beers at a fine price. I didn't think it was an amazing burger, and it did begin to fall apart towards the end, but a nice choice.

I wish they would adopt me so I could eat here for free forever. The pricing is sensible and the quality satisfies. The food amount and cost align perfectly. The staff's quick responses enhanced our meal. We expect to try more dishes here shortly.

Local neighborhood hang it seems. Went to see the famous holiday house and stopped by skintight with some teenagers. The teenagers felt overwhelmed because it is a pub..but once we were seated in the back it was very family oriented. We ordered apps and a steak dinner..drank Shirley temples and hard drinks for the adults. The drinks were priced well and really good.our food was regular pub fare. Service was friendly and efficient. It was great seeing the resturant decorated in valentine decor. Cute for a casual date

Skinflints has a fun and festive scheme of decor, complete with blinky lights and Christmas trains, to match the famously decked out homes nearby in Dyker Heights. As such, the establishment has a neighborhood bar atmosphere but also attracts tourists from at least as far as Alabama, from a conversation I overheard between a drawling table and their server. Service was rather quick and methodical, and my hot drink and steak au poivre were well received. My boyfriend liked his ribeye also, so it was a pleasant night out for us, at his recommendation, I might add (he had been enchanted by the bar during a per-chance visit while observing the lights with friends from out of town a week prior).

No fuss American diner that serves delicious food. The drinks were delicious, and the country sole that I got was hearty and flavorful and perfectly cooked. Service was lovely, and the vibe of the place has that quiet hum of happy customers. Very comfortable and will definitely be back.

Good local food and drinks! My friends and I stopped by here on a random stop by in bay ridge based on their cute love decor on the outside. It was a bustling Friday and we had a short wait for our table so we got some drinks and sat at a bar table. The decor in here is phenomenal, I mean they must spend all their time and efforts to making this place an experience. We got seated at our table and I was constantly amazed at the trains and other decorations for bday. I definitely got some cute pics. The food was really good. I had the steak with loaded potato and veggies. The veggies were cooked to perfection and the steak and mushrooms as well. This is definitely a good date night, family dinner or friends hangout spot.

Cool Christmas decorations! They did a great job decorating the bar! The ribs were very tasty! Had the burger which was good. When ordering the burger it is a build your own type burger. Have to tell them everything you want on the burger.

Skinflints is an oldie but definitely a goodie. When I go there it's always a great time. I always go with my family and it's like being in your own living room. The welcome is always felt and the servers do an amazing job. The food is nothing short but a sure shot. Everything is always fresh and delicious. You can never go wrong when you visit this place. I would most definitely recommend for a great meal. They also have a bar which seems lively in the front.

I really don't understand. I was there with five people for brunch and I felt like it was 120° inside the restaurant. What in the world are they doing? No air conditioning I have a feeling they really are going downhill. And yes, the food is good, but sometimes it's also a hit and miss on their food so please just say the truth

A while back Good Morning New York voted Skinflints "Best Burger" in Brooklyn. being a native of Dyker Heights, I knew that this establishment makes a great burger. However, I wondered if it matched up to places like the Redhook Tavern. I must say, after trying the burger a few times it not only matches up. It exceeds. The beef blend is perfect, the execution spot on, the English is the signature. Fries were also terrific and stood up to this masterpiece I should also say the beer list was excellent, and my Brooklyn Lager (on tap) was fresh and super cold . Bravo to skinflints for, not only producing a tremendous version of an American staple, but in doing so for decades.

What a fun and funky place! The bread basket is 1000 X better than any other restaurant. The food was delicious-- I had a chopped salad with chicken and cheese. It was delicious. I have not had a hamburger there, but it was just my first time. I have been told that the hamburgers are the best. Additionally, they're open very late and the prices are extremely reasonable. The servers were lovely and charming and attentive.

Skinflints is incredibly beautiful. The location goes above and beyond with its decor. We went right after Christmas and it just seemed like there was a Santa in every window. We were seated quickly in the back dining area for lunch and ordered drinks and the French Onion Soup, Potato Skins and the Chicken Pot Pie. Drinks arrived quickly and the chicken pot pie was defiantly made from scratch straight out of the oven with some lovely puff pastry. I was a bit surprised about the French onion soup. It defiantly seemed to be made with chicken broth rather than beef and wasn't as flavorful as some French onion soups I've had elsewhere. The potato skins had veleta rather than cheddar and were fine. I was surprised by the service. Our server was able to pick up and drop our food rather quickly but then vanished for a really long time. We were able to finish all of our food and we watched as several people were sat with no attention for over 15 minutes and a few people were waiting to just get change before leaving. Closing out the bill was incredibly slow. Its was a nice atmosphere and I'll probably come back and just sit at the bar. I'm sure someone called out. I do wish the menu had more vegetarian options.

This was such a beautiful place to visit with someone special. They went all out with the ambiance and decor. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary.

It is more like a 3.5 than a four star review. Unfortunately due to the fact I cannot give half stars, this is what I have to work with. The burger is of a good size, but it is a little dry and needs more than just lettuce and tomato to bring out the flavor. The cheese draping is nice, and the fries are fresh and taste good, but they do not quite make up for the lack of seasoning this burger needs. I do like the English muffin as a bun. That works incredibly well. I would also recommend adding a fried egg as a topping. That with the English muffin and any burger would make this a burger I would get almost every weekend. The prices are fair too, considering if I were in Manhattan that this is easily a $20 burger. For lunch, it is passable.

It's been a while since I've stopped in here, but had one of the best, and most fulfilling brunch meals I've had in a long time. Huevo Rancheros. From top to bottom it was almost perfect, from the fresh sliced avocado to the eggs, beans, and perfectly crispy tortilla on the bottom. The brunch special includes one booze breakfast drink, and also a side of home fries that were also delicious and ample in serving size.

Skinflints isn't the most appetizing name, but don't let that deter you from enjoying the establishment. It's part dive bar, Irish pub, sports bar, and vintage restaurant. You can watch the game up front with a rowdier crowd or have a lovely sit down in the back dining room. The food is great at reasonable prices. The service is attentive and friendly. The space is intimate with dim incandescent lighting and stain glass windows, but also eclectic with a miniature train running around a chandelier. The burgers come on English muffins. The zucchini sticks and fish n chips are crispy and not greasy and come with a hearty helping of tartar sauce. The shepherd's pie comes piping hot and will warm your soul on a cold night.

I have been going to Skinflints for decades. Cheeseburger on an English muffin with a slice of raw onion and ketchup is perfection. Don't ever change the menu.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. A must to come and see. It was nice and crowded but cozy- we were able to catch a seat at the bar. Service was great. Bartenders were friendly and calm despite the crowd. Burger was good and short ribs were even better - food is solid. I wish they had drink menu for cocktails and beer. No seasonal drinks. I think room to improve is here but nonetheless they Deserve 5 stars.

I love the vibe of this place especially during the holidays with a floating train, giant Christmas soldier, ornaments and lights decorated through the restaurant/pub. Such a lively atmosphere with a great pour. Lots of beer on draft and cocktails to be made. Food is really good and not a bad price. My favorites are the mussels, French dip sandwich, and pasta. Calamari is ok , portion wasn't too big. Lovely staff and lots of cheers. This place gets packed on the weekends. If it's warmer out, they have a lot of outdoor seating.

Absolute staple and gem in the bay ridge neighborhood. Friendly staff, great bartenders, clean atmosphere, superb ambiance and most importantly....AMAZING FOOD! You can't go wrong with your wonderful choice!!!!! A+++++++++++ all the way!

Had a blast coming here after seeing the Dyker Heights Lights last month! I was hoping to eat here before the lights, but it was PACKED. When we eventually got back, we were told we should've stayed but that wasn't clear when they took our number, either way they were nice about it and sat us. Here's what we tried: - French Onion Soup: super hot, cheesy, and flavorful! Exactly what I expected it to be, a little messy but 5 stars here - Mushroom Burger: very meaty and very tall which is great for some but not for me. The burger was on the dry side and wasn't all that memorable, I took a couple bites and took my leftovers home. Came with a side of fries. I had read the burgers here were great but I wish I stuck with my gut and ordered fish & chips! 2 stars. - Bean Burger: they were out of impossible patties for the night so M went with a bean burger! He finished it, it wasn't as tall and dry looking as mine. Unknown stars! Looking around, the burgers and other appetizers were definitely popular. The main long hallway gets pretty rowdy, I'm glad we were seated in a quieter side room. I loved that the place was decked out in Christmas lights, there was even a moving train! Overall seems like a great local spot for casual drinks/affordable dining out, check it out if you're in the area.

I love going here. Ive been going here since i was a kid. The decor is always so cute and cozy. The chicken scampi is amazing. I always get it with Mashed potatoes with a side order of sautéed vegetables. Their breadsticks with butter that they give before the food comes out are tasty as well. Great date spot. Went on Christmas eve at about 5pm and there was no wait. Decorations are very over the top but in the best way. Towards the end of our meal it got very crowded and service started to get slow but it was expected for the day so we weren't complaining. Our server was doing his best and was as attentive as possible. The food all came out piping hot. Coconut shrimp was somehow the favorite of the night. The chicken pot pie was highly recommended and the presentation was great but could use more seasoning. About halfway through it gets pretty bland. I'm definitely willing to come back to see other seasonal decorations and maybe try some other food

The menu is extensive and everything I've ordered has been on point. The service even when extremely busy is very good. You never have to wait a long while for your order to arrive. I was there a few days ago with five of my friends usually we end up going there once every two weeks but I do not know what it's been going on since after Christmas they were rated number one for the burgers. I don't know what they're doing now they look smaller than before, and now they put one slice of cheese instead of two I don't know what happened with the ribs. The ribs are not the same like they were the ribs and the burgers were outstanding. They change their product and shame on them. Also, my friends got pastas with the shrimp last month. The shrimps were nice size Yesterday they were like baby shrimp. I know some of you people write things but please just say the truth. I think they cut corners and there not what they used to be at all and it's a real damn shame. I always love going there for many many years what I am saying also there other places in Bay Ridge I think the burgers and the ribs, and the food is constantly great I think they are all losing their touch And I have a feeling I am saying this for a lot of people also

Went for lunch on Saturday with friends. Have been there quite a few times and must say always satisfied with the food. Service is good menu has a lot nice options to choose from but not a crazy amount .We had burgers ,Rubens and shrimp cocktails and everything was very tasty. My one recommendation is they must work on their restrooms that's nothing to brag about.

Food and service are always great even during rush dinner hours. Staff are attentive and check on you periodically to make sure your satisfied with everything.

We never been there before it was recommended to me. I went with 2 friends the service was great and the wings and shepherd pie was delicious I be back soon

On my third foray into Skinflints I was left disappointed. (Three times you are out as the saying goes.) The servers were distracted and not interested in serving us. Too busy chatting to other servers. The food was dried up and un appetizing. This was similar to my initial visit, where I had to fight to get attention from distracted servers more interested in socializing amongst themselves. The interior decoration of the pub, and Irish theme left over from St. Patricks Day, was brilliant. Generally I feel the staff were not interested in serving.

Been going here all my life. There's a reason it's always full of people. Great food, great prices, and always friendly and speedy service. The Christmas decorations in recent years are a great addition to the atmosphere.

Have been wanting to try this spot for a while. Finally got the change to stop in and try their burger. The decor inside is quite nostalgic and beautiful. The restaurant is huge. There's plenty of seating available, even at the bar if you prefer a quick bite. There are also a few tables outside. We wanted to be more spaced out so we were brought to the back patio side of the restaurant and I gotta say I felt pretty great having the section to ourself haha We ordered our burgers and ogled at the interiors while we waited for our food. The path to the restroom is kind of labyrinthian - with lots of cool decor and mirrors on the way. Food -- Burger comes on an English muffin with a side of fries. It was a juicy patty, mushrooms were tasteless but added some texture to the bites. Fries weren't crispy as you'd expect but it was a nice portion if you're just looking for a bite and ambiance. Overall - the burger wasn't super memorable. We got a house salad to share - it's very basic but that's what you expect when you get a house salad. The dressing was a bit gooey for Italian. It ruined the salad which was a bit pricey to begin with. I'd recommend you ask for oil salt and pepper if you go this route. Service -- Staff was nice overall. One note - our waiter didn't wear a mask but didn't see him too much once we placed our order. Staff was attentive and warm. TLDR; I'd like to go back and try other things. This time around the food was satisfying but not notable. Clearly a spot great for a quick bite or groups.

A place with an interesting interior and pleasant staff. We got a table outside without waiting. I liked that even the street outbuildings are decorated with interesting details to look at. However, we didn't come to look at the walls, but to eat The first thing I noticed when I received my order was that the asparagus on my plate looked more like broccoli. Yes, it was broccoli. I think that if you're replacing a product, then you should tell about it before the person makes an order. It also felt like the fries were fried in old oil, and the coleslaw seemed to have been sitting around for a long time, waiting for its turn to see us. In general, the food was edible, but I can't say that it was very tasty, it was okay. At the same time, fortunately, the prices in this place are adequate and therefore I did not feel disappointed. If I paid more for such meal, I would get upset. I also tried house white wine. It was okay, I just didn't like the shade of a lipstick mark on my glass, I prefer something more light I told the waiter that my glass is dirty and he immediately brought me another one. The new glass was clean and full of fresh wine.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday after not being able to visit for years and very happy to say that nothing has changed. Same great food, same great service, same classic vibes inside. Glad to see that the only thing that has changed is more outdoor seating which is convenient. Wanted to order another plate of ribs as soon as I finished my half rack which are legit the best I've ever had. Fries are cooked fresh and served hot. Onion soup also came perfectly heat level so as not to burn off my tastebuds.

Old school pub, nice vibe, good bar food selections, drinks, and friendly staff. Burgers are the go-to meal.

Cool bar/restaurant! The Christmas decorations were amazing and the service was great. We had to wait 40 minutes for a table but we just hung at the bar. Prices were reasonable. I had the french onion soup and it was perfect. Potato skins were just okay. A must see for the Christmas decorations.

Solid experience here. Staff was cordial and helpful. We sat in the back, but had constant service and staff checking on the table. Collectively, we had mostly finger food (wings, fries, pizza and burger) everything was up to par. I was taken aback initially, when I saw the burger was on an English Muffin, which I had never Salween before, but in actuality, it was pretty good. I'm also very big on onions, which I was provided a lot of, which was nicely placed on the side, not on the burger itself. I found this to be a nice touch. After dining, we went and sat by the bar area, to catch the game that was on. The bartenders were cool as well. The prices here are very reasonable and I'd definitely return here. They also have ample outside seating, in the event you don't want to eat indoors.

Super cute decorations it's a Xmas place, very homey vibe and comfortable. Def will recommend. Food Prices were very reasonable !!!!! Would definitely come back !! And the service was pretty quick as well.

I went here for my neices 30th birthday. I love the theme and decor, bartenders were great, quick, down to earth, savvy and accomodating. I tried the chicken tenders- delicious. Had a few aperol spritz- refreshing. This place is a lot bigger than it looks in the bar area when you enter. It goes on with a labarynth of rooms for eating at tables. Kids are welcome here. They play country music. I would like to go back sometime. Restrooms are down stairs. No elevator so be careful if you have trouble with stairs. Parking is a bit tough to find.

Service is really attentive; the waiter asked if we needed anything at least 3 times during a 20 min lunch. I had the chicken over rice and I enjoyed it. A coworker asked for the ribs and mash potatoes and it did not disappoint. The train running around the track was a bit much; lucky for me it was a quick meal. The place is nicely decorated and lively. I definitely recommend this location; but next time I'm gunning for a nice burger

Delicious food, ambiance is absolutely beautiful, they even have trains that move around the bar! The Caesar salad is delicious, the chicken wings perfection, the ribs out of this world, the shrimp scampi is excellent, never had a bad meal here!!!

This is definitely a Bay Ridge staple for good basic but delicious food.i love sitting outdoor here & the service is still great even being outside the servers are attentive and very friendly.i have eaten here probably 100 times but I must say last few yrs Food got even better.
