Time and Place: Zodiac in Milos

"At night, you'd find me at the magical Skinopi Lodge, and by day, I was out on the water, jumping off whatever boat we had with a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf strapped to my wrist."

This place is very special. A wild retreat that feels calm and peaceful - absolutely the best offering on the island. Beautiful views to the sunset make you never want to leave. Access straight down the rocks to the water feels exciting and isolated. The road in is rough and that is part of the charm. Manos is incredible - so so helpful - he can book anything for you and is very knowledgeable about the island and the ‘real’ Milos. He really made our stay! Skinopi is not to be missed if you are choosing to come to Milos.

This is a wonderful, special, magical and peaceful place. The design of the lodges are great, perfect for viewing the sunset, and tucked away for ultimate privacy. We tossed up between a traditional hotel and Skinopi lodges. So pleased we opted for the latter ! Thank you Manos for looking after us so well during our stay!

Our family had the most amazing time here. It’s such an incredible and beautiful part of the world only overshadowed by the people behind the experience. Alex and Nausika are exceptional humans who helped to make this stay truly memorable. We will definitely come back to Milos, and there’s no other place we would stay than Skinopi Lodge. Hire a 4WD, bring some nice champagne, and prepare to bask in the Mediterranean sun while you enjoy the stunning views of the Aegean Sea.

A truly magical place! We stayed here for four nights and we loved it. The stuff is super friendly and helpful, they recommend you places to go, book dinner reservations for you and more. You do need a 4x4 car to get there but it’s worth it. The views are spectacular!

Big thanks to Anna, Nausika and the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. Skinopi Lodge has exactly met our expectations - complete seclusion, no noise pollution, breathtaking views and a direct access to the sea through a flight of stairs leading to a private deck.

Just, wow. What a truly special place Nausika created at Skinopi Lodge. My wife and I left 7 hours ago, and we’re already plotting our trip back. The views, the design, the serenity… I could go on and on, but the attentiveness, care, and warmth of Nausika and her team is what makes Skinopi a 20/10. Who needs a travel agent when you have Anna, one of Skinopi’s incredible concierges? Even before our arrival, she assisted us with suggestions and reservations via WhatsApp, always securing the *best* tables at every restaurant (which were all fantastic). She helped us plan a full-day boat day (do it!) with Skinopi’s skipper, Ilias, who was also an absolute gem. Before directing us to maybe the most gorgeous beaches we’ve ever been to (???), she ensured we were outfitted with all of the necessary equipment, guidance, and caffeine from the local coffee shop. Truly just the best! 🫶 The rooms are minimal yet stunning. The outdoor shower… the daily breakfast-in-a-basket… the picture-perfect swim deck. It is obvious so much love and intention went into every detail at Skinopi. If you’re looking for views, quiet, design, laid-back luxury, a little adventure, and a hospitality team that really, really cares, Skinopi is for you. It’s also LGBTQ+ friendly :) Ps: rent a 4x4 and travel with at least one confident driver. By day 2, the drive in and out will be a breeze.

The only thing that wasn’t made immediately clear on the Airbnb was that there is a small studio apartment with a shared wall next door. We had a lovely family staying who couldn’t have been nicer. And the other thing was that there were a small amount of ants in the kitchen but it was very manageable. Not sure a 4x4 to get to the house is necessary I would say it depends on what you’re use to. Spectacular sunsets if you walk 1 min up the beach. 100% would stay there again.

We had a great time staying at the Skinopi Lodge. The place is peaceful, serene, and beautiful We watched the sunsets from our units in three of the four nights we spent there—the other night we had dinner in nearby Klima, also watching the sunset. The units have a charming outdoor kitchen—which we used one evening to prepare a nice family dinner. While the units have air conditioning, we never used it! We slept with the screened window open and relaxed under the Mediterranean breeze. It is a truly special to stay and a good point to explore the many beauties of Milos.
