Time and Place: Zodiac in Milos

"At night, you'd find me at the magical Skinopi Lodge, and by day, I was out on the water, jumping off whatever boat we had with a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf strapped to my wrist."

Staying at Skinopi Lodge in Milos has been on my list for ages, and I even built my husband’s birthday trip around it. The property itself is absolutely stunning—the views, the design, the serenity. Nausika’s attention to detail and keen design eye are evident everywhere, making every corner feel intentional and thoughtful. She went above and beyond, surprising my husband with a birthday cake and a lovely handwritten note, which made the celebration unforgettable. Manos was a fabulous concierge for our entire stay—helping us with recommendations and reservations via WhatsApp, always securing the best tables at every restaurant (all of which were incredible). We planned a full day boat tour, which sadly was cut short due to the winds, but the trip was thoughtfully rerouted and included a wonderful stop for lunch in Pollonia —still an unforgettable experience. The rooms are minimal but breathtaking. We loved the outdoor shower, the daily breakfast-in-a-basket and the flawless swim deck. Every detail at Skinopi reflects care, love, and intention. Special shout out to Shadow, the curious and beautiful cat who roams the property—I’m convinced she has the same “soul” as our cat at home. :) Don't hesitate to book Skinopi - you won't regret it!

The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and unforgettable sunsets. The outdoor shower is a lovely feature, and Manos was truly wonderful throughout our stay : extremely professional, attentive, and always responsive. That said, the interior of the first villa we stayed in felt very simple compared to the price (over €1000 per night). The furnishings were modest and lacked some comfort: no wardrobe (only a coat rack with three hangers), no duvet (just a thin sheet), and the air conditioning blew directly onto the bed, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. We then moved to the honeymoon suite, and this one was much more in line with what we had hoped for : charming, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing stay. That said, even this suite still felt overpriced for the level of luxury offered.

This place is very special. A wild retreat that feels calm and peaceful - absolutely the best offering on the island. Beautiful views to the sunset make you never want to leave. Access straight down the rocks to the water feels exciting and isolated. The road in is rough and that is part of the charm. Manos is incredible - so so helpful - he can book anything for you and is very knowledgeable about the island and the ‘real’ Milos. He really made our stay! Skinopi is not to be missed if you are choosing to come to Milos.

This is a wonderful, special, magical and peaceful place. The design of the lodges are great, perfect for viewing the sunset, and tucked away for ultimate privacy. We tossed up between a traditional hotel and Skinopi lodges. So pleased we opted for the latter ! Thank you Manos for looking after us so well during our stay!

A special and unique place unlike anywhere you’ll ever stay. Treat yourself to a sunrise coffee and swim or finishing off the day with a swim at dusk watching the sunset. From sunrise to sunset, Skinopi is perfection.

Our family had the most amazing time here. It’s such an incredible and beautiful part of the world only overshadowed by the people behind the experience. Alex and Nausika are exceptional humans who helped to make this stay truly memorable. We will definitely come back to Milos, and there’s no other place we would stay than Skinopi Lodge. Hire a 4WD, bring some nice champagne, and prepare to bask in the Mediterranean sun while you enjoy the stunning views of the Aegean Sea.

Skinopi Lodge is one of the best and most quiet hotels ive visited, the staff and especially Manos are incredibly kind and easy to work with if yoyve got any requests or enquire about anything. The road towards the hotel is kinda challenging but its worth it for just the view you get from each room

A truly magical place! We stayed here for four nights and we loved it. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they recommend you places to go, book dinner reservations for you and more. You do need a 4x4 car to get there but it’s worth it. The views are spectacular!
