"Conservatorium has a fascinating past. It started as a bank and then became a music academy before renowned Italian designer Piero Lissoni transformed it into a hotel in 2012. The building itself harmoniously blends old and new, with modern steel beams and glass walls complementing original brickwork and wooden beams. The hotel houses one of the city’s largest and most decadent spas—a subterranean temple to holistic wellness, with its own hammam, Watsu pool, lap pool, and more. Its restaurants and bars are also among the trendiest and most highly acclaimed in the city. Upon arrival, each guest is assigned a personal host to offer recommendations, reservations, and historical tidbits."
Great selection of niche perfumes. The staff is very friendly and helpful, give good recommendations. The prices of the perfumes vary but are more on the higher end. Would definitely recommend coming here to browse or if you’re looking for something unique.

1–2 years ago lovely consultants always offered me a variety of samples to choose from and I could even request a specific perfume I wanted to try they would make a sample just for me. Now I honestly don’t understand the point of my VIP Level 5 membership if I never receive samples that match my preferences or only get one and it’s usually a terrible perfume that doesn’t suit my taste at all.
Today, my purchase was over €240 and I was given just only 1 sample of a fragrance I don’t like. Skims, you promise your members personalized offers and exclusive samples based on our preferences so where are they?

The boutique in Den Haag is much better. Here the staff showed only hostility. As a perfume collector, I buy 5 perfumes per month. But this kind of store is not for perfume lovers. No hospitality, and probably no expertise. Just like how they judge their customers, I also judge those old saleswomen definitely have no tastes and expertise in perfumery. They don’t know most of the perfumes in the store I guess. It’s a pity the company has so many exclusive niche perfumes but the boutique does not run in a way to fit this niche vibe. I have visited many niche perfume stores, skins Amsterdam is worst tbh.

We’ve been loyal customers here for over seven years, shopping monthly without issue. However, during my husband’s visit today, he encountered a staff member he hadn’t seen before who was unexpectedly rude. She made a big deal out of him not speaking Dutch, which left him feeling very uncomfortable. It was an unpleasant experience - staff should not be giving a judgmental attitude to customers, very unprofessional.

I bought several perfumes here over the past years. They've got a good selection of perfumes, and you can also ask for samples that you can take home to try them out before buying.
However, I found many of the staff to have quite an "attitude" in the way they interacted with me. Not friendly, and occasionally even arrogant.

Visiting the store almost every weekend to discover new additions to their wide selection of fragrances and cosmetics. However, since a few weeks it’s an unbearable experience because of the lack of AC in the store. It’s really really hot and you can notice the staff is having a very hard time to provide the level of service they’re used to provide, just because of the unbearable heat. A store like Skins and especially being located inside the Conservatorium hotel, should be obliged to take care of their employees and customers, and provide a pleasant experience and temperature. The small Dyson in the corner won’t do the job…
