Country side hotel. Very well cared style, they have a gorgeous and cosy common area with coffee and tea. The room was big and had everything. The bathroom was clean. It is isolated, but they offer dinner and breakfast if you need. It may be a perfect place to spot the northern lights if lucky. Recommended.

The hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but very close to the Asbyrgi (Ows-Burr-Gee) entrance to the park. Lots of sheep fields and pretty views. Great place for northern lights. Note that there is no place to eat in the area except for this hotel and a limited service convenience store down the road that closes at 6PM. The hotel did make us sandwiches and an apple for lunch which was very nice – not sure if we were even charged. And that was a theme – the people who ran the place were very nice. ||We spent two nights; the room was small and sparse but clean. Nice window to open as Iceland hotel rooms are notoriously hot. The bathroom was very small but we have learned that is common for this type of place. Lots of common space – everything had a nice clean, light feel. Very safe.||In summary, considering its location and lack of other resources in the area, this place was great.

My husband and I stayed here for one night while touring the Abyrgi area. Our room was simple no frills but the restaurant was the highlight. It had a nice view and more importantly great food that tasted homemade. I actually had an excellent Cod while I was there. For breakfast be aware that they do not start serving until 8am so we were not able to take advantage of that as we had an early morning tour but no doubt it would have been nice as well. We also were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights while we were there although unfortunately there was no way to turn off the porch lights to the rooms which would have been nice.

Enjoyed our two night stop in out this of the way place. Very quiet spot with good views from small room.|Friendly welcome and handy dining facilities - though because of the large glass window the area did get very hot. Good fish.|No coffee maker in room but always available in dining area.

The staff is really friendly and helpfull. The food in the restaurant is good, but if you want to prepare your own, there is a kitchen available for that too. Bathroom is a bit small, but works fine. Stayed here for a couple of days and can recommened it.

The hotel is between Husavik and the canyon, good location. The road is also great. The reception was ok, 2 small chocolates in the room. There is free tea in the lounge, no kettle in the room, no fridge, no TV (that was not significant, but I mention it). The room was large, clean , comfortable. Restaurant offers breakfast and other meals (dinner was being served). Bathroom door not offering enough privacy. Price is high for offer without breakfast, but it is Iceland.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Although this hotel might be less luxurious than some of the other hotels, the location was amazing and the host very kind. I think the photos express the atmosphere well!

I enjoyed the simplicity of the room with updated touches and that it accommodates our luggage with being able to move around the room as well. Liked the heated floors, super comfy bed, actual room darkening, communal kitchen, cute and efficient bathroom, friendly staff…
