We visited during Thanksgiving 2022, which meant heavy crowds and longer lines across the park. Thankfully, we had Express Pass, which cut our wait to about 20 minutes—otherwise, the standby line was well over an hour. The queue itself was immersive, with eerie lighting, tribal props, and animatronics that helped build tension before boarding. Once the ride began, the motion simulation and 3D visuals pulled us into a chaotic jungle expedition, complete with hostile creatures and unpredictable terrain. The transitions between scenes were mostly smooth, though a few moments felt slightly drawn out. Kong’s final appearance was the highlight—massive, detailed, and surprisingly emotional. The ride doesn’t just rely on thrills; it leans into atmosphere and storytelling, which sets it apart from more straightforward attractions. It’s best suited for older kids, teens, and adults who enjoy darker themes and cinematic intensity. Younger guests might find it overwhelming due to the loud effects and aggressive pacing. Overall, it’s a strong experience that rewards those who appreciate theatrical design and immersive world-building.
