The experience was nothing short of magical—so much so that we booked a second flight the very next day. Both mornings, we flew near the pyramids, and each flight offered something uniquely special.
On day one, we flew with our pilot Jorge. There was some cloud cover that morning, which made the flying more technical. It was impressive to watch the level of skill required as Jorge worked the balloon intentionally and precisely to get us directly over the Sun Pyramid. Knowing the conditions required expert handling made the experience even more meaningful.
Day two could not have been more different. We flew with Oscar, the owner, on a clear, sunny, absolutely spectacular morning. Visibility was exceptional, and Oscar precisely positioned us so we flew directly over the pyramids with ease. Seeing these ancient structures illuminated by full sunlight from the air was breathtaking and unforgettable.
From start to finish, the operation was seamless and well-organized. We were picked up directly from our hotel and transported to the launch site, where check-in was efficient and welcoming. After arrival, there was a relaxed coffee break, followed by a professional photo session with the balloons as they inflated—an excellent way to begin the morning and set the tone for what was to come.
The flight itself—gliding over the Sun Pyramid and taking in the vastness of the landscape below—felt surreal and deeply moving. The scale, history, and quiet beauty of the area are best appreciated from the air, and Sky Balloon delivers that perspective flawlessly.
After landing, the crew executed an impressively expeditious pack-up. It was immediately clear how well-trained and coordinated the team is. We then returned to the starting point for breakfast, which is absolutely not to be missed. I strongly recommend purchasing the all-inclusive package with breakfast—it completes the experience and is well worth it.
A few tips for anyone considering this experience:
• Purchase the all-inclusive package with breakfast.
• Buy the photo package—you will want these memories professionally captured.
• And most importantly, buy the drone footage. We initially declined it but later changed our minds. I contacted the company and was directed to their photography department, but unfortunately never heard back. As a result, we missed out on footage I truly wish we had. Learn from my mistake—purchase it upfront.
This is a world-class experience run by a professional, capable team that clearly cares about quality, safety, and guest experience. Highly recommended.
