Spectacular from every angle. The communication before, during, and after your reservation and check-in was excellent. The service from all the staff was always friendly and willing to help you with anything you needed. And finally, the experience of seeing the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon from the sky is indescribable. Our pilot, Ivan, has been flying balloons for 19 years; he's a master! The flight lasted more than an hour. There were moments when we were incredibly close to the pyramids and others when we were very high up with amazing views, even though there was quite a bit of fog. Without a doubt, the best way to visit Teotihuacan.

The hot air balloon ride with Sky Balloons Mexico was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the team made everything feel smooth, organized, and exciting. Watching the balloons inflate as the sun came up was magical—and once we were in the air, the views were breathtaking. Floating over the landscape felt peaceful and surreal, like a bucket-list moment come to life. Our pilot was friendly, skilled, and made us feel completely safe the entire time. The staff as a whole were welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Sky Balloons Mexico offers an incredible hot air balloon experience—beautiful views, excellent service, and memories that last a lifetime. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We only did the balloon ride, so I can't comment on any of the other packages, but the balloon ride was incredible and very safe! I see lots of recent reviews with concerns about safety, and they're a bit ridiculous...Balloons can touch each other while they lift off, it's perfectly safe. Also, baskets tend to tip a bit upon landing due to the slight breeze, but they very rarely fall over. Regarding safety, our first day was cancelled after we got there due to thick fog. A bit disappointing, but we wouldn't have seen anything and the landing would have been dangerous without visibility so I'm grateful the company made the safe decision to not fly while other companies in the area were taking passengers up just to get the money. We were offered a full refund or the option to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day and we're glad we did. Truly a beautiful and tranquil experience with views from up high and close to the pyramids, with a safe landing and efficient transportation. They gave us free breakfast for the first cancelled day which was delicious. I've ridden in a few balloons before and our pilot Jorge was the best I've ever had the pleasure to fly with.

Omg!!! I have never experienced anything like this, first hot air, balloon ride and what a perfect location to do it. Staff is very knowledgable, and bilingual, the ride was smooth, and the views are breathtaking. Top it off after a thrilling ride you get a delicious breakfast.

This experience was a must on my trip to MX, however it was overwhelming to choose between vendors.. are they trustworthy? Will the service be good? Will I be comfortable? ... After reading many, many, reviews I decided to go with this company. Let me tell you that as soon as I paid, someone reached out and confirmed with me all my booking details and asked if I had any questions. Then, the day came, they picked us up exactly where they said they would be, everyone in the staff was kind and welcoming. You have opportunities to take pics and videos and it's not a "pushy" sales vibe, more of an optional vibe. The ride itself was so SMOOTH. The captain was great! Great views too! Landing was perfection and the pyramid tour was also great. All of this to say that if you have any worries (I get it!), this is the company to book with!

Super professional, from the moment you walk in until you leave everything is pleasant. The staff was great and the experience out of the world!

Bad experience. We came on time. They made us wait. All other ballons were in the sky and the sunrise already passed and our balloon still didn't go up. The whole point of the advertised experience is to go up during the sunrise with all other ballons. So we didn't get to experience that. From my understanding there was a problem with the balloon which is why it was late. Regardless, it completely ruined our experience.

I don't think that this is a particularly safe operator. There are a bunch of different companies in the area that do the same balloon trip, but Sky Balloons has way more balloons and in a relatively small staging area. On the morning of January 14, 2026, I saw one of the balloons lift straight up into another one. While it didn't hit the basket, it came close and then the two balloons bounced off each other. That's not a particularly comforting experience to observe. In general, all the balloon companies here ask you to write reviews on the spot, so there is a lot of social pressure to write a 5 star review.
