How to survive a bachelor’s weekend in Bangkok - SilverKris

"A dramatic rooftop bar 820 feet above the city, widely recognized after appearing in The Hangover II; it offers spectacular panoramic views, a signature cocktail called the 'Hangovertini', and immediate access to an award-winning Mediterranean restaurant for pre-drink dining." - SilverKris

I've had a very disappointing experience here. I wouldn't visit again. It started with a 10 min queue/wait just to use the elevator. Apon arriving at the top, we were ushered to a empty 2nd inner bar and told to sit, and given a limited drinks menu. The menu only contained the most expensive drinks ranging between 1500-50000 baht per drink. We ordered 2 of the cheapest drinks we could see, which was 2 of the smallest glasses of warm white wine I've even seen. At this point we were wondering why everybody else were being taken to the other outer bar. We decided to pay for our 2 small wines 3000 baht only to be told we had to pay another 800 baht service charge for using the inner bar. We walked to the other bar only to discover a much bigger selection of drinks at a more reasonable price. We complained to a member of staff. Who did not seen to care at all. We watched the sun go down for 10 mins while being stared at by some staff members. We decide to leave early and we got escorted out of the building. It felt like we were singled out to be scammed. Apart from the great views a truly disappointing experience. I would recommend visiting Spectrum instead, there the service was amazing.

My boyfriend was really scared being in the roof but after he had his $100 glass of wine he had fun. The views are amazing and we got some good pictures. It was pretty windy and cold but they gave me a scarf which helped a lot. We went to the other part of the roof and everyone was taking pictures recreating the hangover 2 which I had to google later. Overall recommend.

We visited in June 2025 and had an absolutely amazing experience. We arrived around 9 PM and were immediately blown away by the breathtaking view. The service here is truly unmatched - every staff member was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. From the sweet host who guided us to the bar to the friendly and professional security team, everyone made us feel genuinely cared for. It’s hard to put into words just how special and inviting the atmosphere is. That said, to maintain the high standards of this venue - especially considering the premium pricing - I believe the dress code should be more strictly enforced for all guests. It would help preserve the elegant and upscale vibe the place is clearly aiming for. Additionally, I was a bit disappointed by the drink presentation. For 1,400 Baht, I expected a more thoughtfully decorated cocktail. The lack of garnish or visual flair didn’t match the otherwise luxurious experience. The live show was nice, the architecture is stunning, and the grand staircase alone is worth a visit. All in all, it was a night to remember.

The view is breathtaking on a clear night. Bangkok looks amazing from the Sky bar. I think this bar could be managed so much better as once you're up there, you are shuffled to the edge like cattle. There are no designated smoking areas which means it smells disgusting if you're not a smoker, and no real Management of wh where people are placed. I have visited better rooftop bars on Bangkok which are a 10th of the price. The price is not an issue if it reflects the atmosphere, vibe and hospitality. The sky bar does not. Honestly - not worth the hype at all.

Iconic venue for sure. Still has the wow factor to it. Live band was good too. However the whole experience was not great. Starting from the lobby of the hotel (Lebua), it was underwhelming. Looks dated, low ceiling, quite small. Elevators very busy and likely to have a waiting line. There's an army of hosts rushing you when at 64th floor, and they will try to force you to another area on the 64th floor, which is not as special. We were guests at the hotel and complained so they took us to the right spot. Drinks are not well crafted and crazy overpriced. Non-alcoholic drinks start at 900bht. Mine was a lot more plus add taxes etc. I understand that it is a very popular spot (even before the Hangover movie) and crowds have to be managed, and avoid freeloaders. However the experience felt like a tourist trap. The venue deserves a better policy.

Host will ask you a set of questions. If you are not staying at the hotel and have no reservations, you will be their target. They all know you are there for the main rooftop bar, but will gaslight you into going to another side of the floor with a bar and push you to order a drink. After complaining, the waiter will then escort you directly to a bartender at the main bar to make sure you buy a drink before you can stop and take in their breathtaking views and classy vibes. The dome itself and atmosphere is beautiful. I gave the benefit of the doubt that the behaviour of the waiter was a one off as I did not experience this push anywhere else in Bangkok. Bartenders are very nice, but sweet talkers with a heavy hand. A non classic cocktail starts at $50cad, but somehow your bill will total up to $70 for a drink so double check your bill. Tax and gratuity included. “Exceptional service and full experience” was not found during this visit to justify the pricing. Infact, I left with a bitter taste. Yes, it was a very memorable experience, but in a negative way. Not worth going just to check out a set of the Hangover or their “world-renowned views”. There are many other rooftops nearby (ie: SIN, ThreeSixty) with better service and views of the city. Will not recommend Sky Bar to others.

The view from the terrace in Bangkok is absolutely stunning. Although the drinks are somewhat pricey, it's worth noting that there’s no entrance fee, making it a great value for the quality of service and ambiance. You can also walk across to the other side, where live jazz music is played, along with a restaurant. The staff are very attentive, and I had a particularly positive experience with a staff member from Myanmar. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, from taking my order and explaining the drinks and bar offerings to assisting me with taking photos. She even took the time to come over and chat whenever she was free, which I really appreciated.

A beautiful location, it was truly amazing. The views, the architecture and decor, add in the lovely Bangkok climate and it's the perfect recipe. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Keep in mind, no casual wear and men are not allowed in with sandals.
