Restaurant Sky Kitchen & View

Had a wonderful dining experience at Sky Kitchen & View. The name truly says it all — the view is absolutely stunning and creates such a relaxing, special atmosphere, especially in the evening. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the quality really stood out. It’s the kind of place where you want to sit, enjoy your meal slowly, and take in the surroundings. Service was equally impressive — the staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the visit. They were always nearby when needed without being intrusive. A perfect spot for a nice dinner with great food, lovely ambiance, and an unforgettable view. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

This was our first time in Finland, and this restaurant made it an outstanding and unforgettable experience. The ambience was elegant and understated, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The location itself was very quiet, with a beautiful view into the frozen forest, which added something truly special to the evening. The menu was an exceptional journey in itself – thoughtfully composed and full of memorable moments. A particularly impressive touch was that members of the kitchen team personally introduced themselves, which made the experience feel very personal and sincere. The wine pairing was perfectly matched to each course and explained in a highly professional yet accessible way by Johanna. She felt less like a waitress and more like a friend: incredibly kind, attentive, and clearly very experienced. She took a lot of time for us and made the evening even more enjoyable. In addition to the menu, there were many delicious extras that showed great generosity and attention to detail. An absolute five-star recommendation.

The food and service were incredible! Jaakko was very knowledgeable about the dishes, personable, and had great recommendations. Meeting the young chef behind the masterpiece was a real treat. The food was all a work of art combining unique flavors with amazing taste and presentation. I will be highly recommending this place and the 5 course meal to everyone.

Lets start by saying I have a very limited pallette and only eat really cow steak boneless and chicken boneless for meats, but happily ate reindeer steak and king crab here. The mystery 6 course meal was nuts and the cocktails insane.

Today we were celebrating our 8th Wedding Anniversary! And we came here to do so - cause we love good food! And we got good food! Compliments to the Chef for a great job!

We enjoyed the 5-course surprise menu, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were perfectly balanced, delighting our taste buds with every bite. The evening was crowned by outstanding service. A special thank you to Johanna for making our dinner truly perfect with her warm, attentive, and professional service. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience!

I stayed at the hotel and went to enjoy their suprise 5-course menu, which tasted beautifully. Regional cuisine/ingredients paired with modern technique and sophisticated plating. Also, the staff was super friendly and a special thanks to Johanna for her kind service throughout the evening! (Broke some of the plating before taking pictures, sorry :) )

If you're in the Lapland region, do not miss this restaurant. I booked this restaurant for an anniversary dinner through a travel company so our menu was already set. To start, we had a carrot soup and reindeer tartare (which I promise is much better than it sounds when you think about possibly eating Rudolph). Both options were delicious and if we could have licked the plate, we would have. Our server also brought out complimentary sparkling blueberry wine and homemade bread. The bread is out of this world and was gone from our table in a matter of minutes. Our entree' was a seared cod with cauliflower mash which was even better than the starters, if that's even possible. Our dessert was a blueberry gelato with merengue. Now, the food was incredible but the location is what just puts this place over the edge. Located a little outside of the city center, this restaurant can be incredible for catching a glimpse of the northern lights. Following our wonderful candlelit dinner, we made our way up to the hotel roof where you can see all of Rovaniemi and hope that the lights will come out. Though it was cloudy when we first went up, the clouds cleared up and we got the most incredible show of lights. The staff brought us hot blueberry juice in traditional Finnish wooden mugs so that we could enjoy it while we sat upstairs enjoying the lights. (Bonus, we got to keep the cups!) As soon as the lights were covered back up by clouds, magic happened and snow started to fall. You may not get this same experience considering it's all up to the weather. But if you're in this region, you're doing yourself a disservice by not visiting. I will happily be back as soon as I can just for the food!
