Lunch was great, but the views and atmosphere were the absolute best. We took gondolas up the mountain.... And it gets much colder as you go up so bring a sweatshirt or ayt least a windbreaker...

Great view at the top. Can be super busy. We had a two hour wait one time. Last year the food was not good at all but this year it was pretty good! The burger was delicious as was the Argentinian beef. Pho was unflavorful every year.

We rode the gondola up to The Nest/Sky House, took some pictures of the beautiful view, hiked around a bit then and had a delicious spicy Paloma with fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice at the bar. Great way to spend a summer afternoon at Schweitzer. Super friendly, fun bartender and staff.

The best part of this restaurant/bar situated on the top of the mountain is the view on a sunny day and it’s location as a place to get warm and use the facilities. The bar is pretty cool, but don’t expect much in terms of food or prices. The prices are steep like the surrounding runs. Unfortunately, haven’t enjoyed the food either. Come here for the view and sit at the bar and enjoy local company.

Amazing food and awesome views. Prices were very reasonable. No wait and friendly staff. Ordered the falafel and smoked chicken noodle soup. Great taste and reasonable portions. At the end of the meal the executive walked around from table to table to ask about customers experience. Great experience overall. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

The Skyhouse Restaurant at Schweitzer may be the best dining experience on the mountain. The restaurant offers a warm, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, with beautiful views of the surrounding terrain making it perfect for ski season or hiking in the off season. Plus, their menu is full of delicious and creative options that make it hard to choose just one item! Pictured here is my favorite French onion soup. Overall, I highly recommend Skyhouse Restaurant to anyone visiting Schweitzer Mountain Resort. They have something for everyone whether you're looking for a quick bite during ski season or an extended break after a long hike. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable, plus they always go above and beyond to make sure your experience is top-notch! Just be sure to check their hours as they vary based on the seasons.

Good stop at the top for a drink and a view. Just like any ski resort you’ll pay resort prices but overall not too bad. Good trip during the summer to hike around, enjoy the views and cool off on warmer days.

We visited during the summer for lunch. The view is so gorgeous and it is amazing to be able to have lunch up there! I got the grilled veggie sandwich and absolutely loved it ($14). My husband got the ham/salami sandwich and also liked it. I just wish there were a couple more options on the menu, but I understand that they probably have to keep it pretty limited due to its location :) I would give this a 4.5 if I could.

Yelp
A had a bad experience with a service at the Sky House Restaurant. During a conversation with the server we asked her about the ski slopes at Schweitzer. She progressed the conversation to say how she was unhappy with the amount of growth in the area, although she was also not from the area, she is from Oregon. She spoke badly about all the baby boomers who owned more than one house and buying up the real estate, she said "who needs to own more than one house?" She then bad mouthed baby boomers who retired in their 50's and then expected young people like her to work. She said "they don't want to work, why should I work"? Then the final insult was about people who made their money in real estate. She spoke badly about the new owners at Schweitzer, they are too corporate. We didn't say much during her socialist soap box speech, just left quickly. We are in our 50's, recently retired, own more than one home and made our money in real estate.... This girl needs to be fired, and work somewhere where she doesn't interact with other people. I will never come back to your restaurant. And I have told everyone I know this story... boomers go elsewhere!!!

Yelp
Best food in Sandpoint at the top of Schweitzer Mountain! Spent the morning snowshoeing, took the lift to the top and had a simply AMAZING Valentines Day lunch with panoramic 360 degree views of North Idaho. GET HERE and you will be rewarded!!

Yelp
Great location! Cool spot. A little small for clientele, so hard to find seating on a busy day. Spendy pricing. They need to work on staffing with service. It is slow and somewhat disorganized. The last 2 times here, the waitresses have messed up orders quite a lot. They make it seem harder than it is. I'm sure with time they will fine tune this glitch.

Yelp
The views are amazing. But the service is terrible. I sat in an almost empty restaurant for 25 mins after that I asked to be served. The food was fine for the price and location. But I believe the service comes with the package. And it was just bad. Bad enough that is reflex's poorly on the prices and ambience.

Yelp
We've been looking forward to coming here since it opened, we come up every summer and always take the ski lift up to walk around and explore with the kids. After we were here last summer and found out about the lodge we couldn't wait to come up the following summer. Luckily we planned an extra visit to Idaho and came up for spring break and got a chance to check out the new lodge earlier. The lodge itself is beautiful with a million dollar view. But we all found the food to be very underwhelming. The burger which was $16.50 was very bland and didn't even come with any side, seriously no French fries or even a bag of chips. They seem to be trying to be a little to fancy with the menu. Keep it simple. They also don't offer any kids menu which I just can't understand at all. The closest thing I could find for my 5 year old was the fried or baked spaghetti. Poor little guy when his food came out he had a look on his face like what the heck is this. Needless to say he didn't care for it. Then my 7 year old ordered the chicken wings and they try to present it as a five star Michelin restaurant plate, with sauce spread across the plate looking like it's about to be photographed for a food magazine. I really hope they tweak the menu before summer. If anyone form the lodge is reading this please add kid friendly food and maybe some sandwich options like a club sandwich or BLT. Again use the (KISS) method, "keep it simple stupid." Because when we come back up on summer vacation we would really like to have lunch up here and enjoy the view, if not then we will just continue to eat in the village.

Yelp
So where do I even begin. The food, like 5 star Michelin tires, presented to the T. Amazing food and the bartenders welp, I came in for 1 beer and stayed for 4. Keith and James absolutely slay it and entertain while we were here. What more can you ask for than some powder and a beer at the top of a mountain 6,000 feet up. I will continue to come in every time I am up. Definitely one of the best mountain spots around. Keep it up!
