This U.S. Resort Is Now Home to the World’s Longest Timber-towered Suspension Bridge

"The world's longest timber-towered suspension bridge is opening this month at SkyBridge Michigan. The bridge spans 1,200 feet and is suspended almost 120 feet in the air. Visitors can walk across the bridge to enjoy magnificent views of Boyne Valley, especially while venturing across the section with glass flooring." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I visited during fall season. There were couple food trucks, cornhole boards, a small bar and live music. The views from behind the bridge were fantastic, such beautiful fall colors! Crossing the bridge per se was just an ok experience. If you're visiting for the views only, I do suggest to skip the bridge and just get the lift ticket. If you have extra time, there are some trails and golf carts for rent.

Ski lift was nice, very smooth ride. Line was not long at all for being mid day and peak weekend, DO NOT waste your money on fast passes!!! We waited about 3 min. Bridge was amazing. Drinks at the top were great. Definitely a fun one time experience.

It’s one of the good place to catch the fall colors. Even though we are late by a week we somehow manage to catch it so far. The attraction of this place is the scenic chairlift which is absolutely fun and safe for all ages. Meanwhile the Skybridge is okay. The ambience is just great after we cross the Skybridge with a great sitting area, kinda live music and food. Must say we really did enjoyed the place!

Wow! What an experience! I went to the Skybridge on Thursday 10/16/25. Boy did I time it right, right smack of peak fall colors, it was absolutely stunning..the reds, oranges, gold like colors were so unreal. Walking across the bridge was both exciting and calming at the same time, like you’re completely surrounded by the beauty of Mother Nature and Michigan in the fall. Bonus tip, going mid-week is the way to do it, hardly any lines and plenty of time to soak it all in. Get your tickets online before you get there, it’s totally worth the trip.

Absolutely beautiful and awe-inspiring! Wasn't even 100% at 'peak-time' and all of the leaves and trees were still so beautiful and vibrant, with incredible views. The bridge itself of course is very beautiful and amazing too, (and the ski lift up is fun!) especially the glass bottom, with interesting facts posted at the start and end.

A great Michigan adventure if you are in the Boyne area. Parking is at the bottom of the village. There is plenty and it is roped so you know where you can park. Ticket purchase can be made online or at the site. If you purchase online you will save $5 . The ski lift to the top is located in the ski village and is clearly marked. At the top /entrance to bridge, friendly staff are available to snap pictures for you and give you information regarding the bridge. The bridge itself, is a suspension bridge and does have a bit of movement as you walk across. In the middle, there is some clear plexiglass to really see below. There is a black mat on one half of this view is not your cup of tea. Once across, there is plenty of seating, a food and drink truck(alcoholic and nonalcoholic), yard games and restrooms. If you do not want to cross the bridge there is a path around the back of the bridge you can follow. Cross back and take the lift down at your leisure. Views are beautiful.

We visited on a weekday (Oct 10) which was nice as there were no lines and not many people. The leaves have yet to change color which was the main reason for our visit. It was nice, but certainly not worth $25 a person and not worth driving an hour plus! Under the bridge itself is the ski slope which is brown dried grass and makes the view much less enjoyable. Even if the leaves had changed color, it’s still nothing breathtaking and not worth $25 a person! There are many other places to visit that are more beautiful and for free. I would not return and if someone asked me if they should go, I would say no for the simple fact $25 is a rip off just to walk across a bridge! Save your money and don’t waste your gas!

We loved the SkyBridge! Although the wind and the amount of people on the bridge did make it sway back and forth a bit, we still had a great time! If you are scared of heights you just need to look straight and hold the rail as you walk and you will do great. The trees haven’t changed colors yet (Oct 5,2025) it was still a beautiful view!

Yelp
The bridge is magnificent, the wait not so much. I understand it is a gorgeous day and hordes of people will be there. However having someone take pictures before you enter the bridge when the line is OVER an hour long is not good planning. The workers were awesome handing out candy and answering questions. They need a worker on the bridge to keep people moving we had someone hold up our line for way too long while they took group pictures every 5 feet!! Some people are afraid of heights and being forced to stand there did not help them. View was spectacular !!

Yelp
This attraction is unique; if you're okay with heights. I admire the person who had the idea to build this, here. It's definitely a draw for summer tourists who aren't skiing. You can have lunch at either end of the bridge on resort property, or enjoy sitting areas and outdoor games. The views from the bridge are beautiful. Other walkers were considerate: this time there were few others on the bridge and it was not windy. My boyfriend told me he had been on this bridge when it was both busy AND windy, resulting in a lot more motion than we experienced. Be aware, there is a center of the bridge walkway that has clear panels instead of decking. I just looked straight ahead, It could tip the scales of your fear of heights! Buy tickets in advance on their website.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible management, 5 hour wait. Litter all over and ridiculous long lines with no forethought of how to get people through in a timely fashion. Should be maximizing the number on the bridge at any time and a published time limit on the bridge for each person. Totally unacceptable for $36 per person. At this point it will be dark before we even get on the bridge and we got in line at 2:15.

Yelp
It's way more than my family and I expected! So much fun!!! There are so many activities and the place was run very well. The bridge was super cool and the time to cross was perfect. The food options were great, but a little pricey. The wait can be long but it's not bad if you are family and friends. Parking was easy as they had people guiding us. The views were pretty! If you are looking for a fun activity to do try SkyBridge!

Yelp
The skybridge was so stunning. The ride on the sky lift up to the bridge was operated by professional staff, which made those of us who had never been on such a lift very comfortable. The bridge itself was beautiful. The view went on for miles and miles. It feels sturdy despite the sway. It's well worth the trip even for those who might been nervous about heights. Plus, the food truck on the other side of the bridge was delicious.

Yelp
The line is horrendous. The drive into the resort is jam packed with traffic. Almost an hour. You then park. Now for the lift up to the Sky bridge, they split you into two lines, one for groups of two and another for groups more than 2. The line for groups of 2+ ends up being about two hours, and its for a bus ride to another, long line further down the road. Another hour. They do not tell you this. Staff poorly organized and do not communicate any of this. Wait is nearly 4 hours long at this point. I'm still in line. Sun burned. Thirsty. Fed up. Rumor has it after the lift up the hill there's another line for the Sky bridge. I'm guessing that it's nearly 5+ hours to see the bridge. They do have wifi therefore I can share you this message. Not worth the money and I haven't even seen the bridge. Will edit if the view is life changing.

Yelp
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Paid 65$ for two people, waited 1.5 hours to just get on the ski lift up to the bridge, only to find another 3 hour wait to get on the bridge itself. They only let people go on the bridge in a single file. We didn't even want to wait at that point. We went for a hike for free and saw the same trees.
