6 luxurious hotels in snowy destinations to book for the future - SilverKris

"A high-end, ski-in/ski-out resort in a famed Japanese ski village composed of 105 apartments and suites that embrace the omotenashi philosophy; interiors are minimalist yet plush, with expansive windows that flood rooms with light. Upscale options include the Annupuri West four-bedroom penthouse (237 m²) with an outdoor firepit and floor-to-ceiling slope views, and many accommodations can be prepped with champagne or wine on arrival. The on-site onsen sources water from nearby thermal streams for mineral-rich soaks, and some penthouses feature private outdoor onsens; winter packages offer flexible booking and discounted rates." - Rachel Eva Lim

Our family had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Skye Niseko in September during the low season, and we’re already planning our return! We booked a spacious 2-bedroom suite that was perfect for us—modern, impeccably clean, and with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The suite felt like a home away from home, with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and luxurious bathrooms that made relaxing after a day of exploring Niseko a dream. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We can’t wait to come back for a ski trip with friends this winter!

This hotel is one of the best ski-in, ski-out resorts we’ve ever stayed at! The location is excellent and incredibly convenient, with shuttle buses running every 15 minutes to the nearby grocery store and town. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and the staff was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. One of the highlights for us was the daily ski lessons for kids—the instructors were fantastic, and our children had an amazing time learning and improving their skills. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, especially the in-room laundry machine with complimentary detergent and a dryer—it made our stay so much more convenient. Another highlight was booking a private onsen every other day—it was such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, perfect after a day on the slopes. The ski rental shop staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, making the entire process seamless. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely return again!

We had a tremendous stay at Skye Niseko. The room was very spacious with a beautiful view of the surrounding greenery. Staff was always very helpful with our baby requests. The spa with its private rooms was very enjoyable for quiet family downtime. The highlight was probably the breakfast buffet. Location is ideal to drive around southern Hokkaido, we used the hotel as a base to visit Otaru, Yoichi, Cape Kamui, Kutchan, Toyako, Shikotsuko, Noboribetsu... We're already considering coming back for the winter season.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at! The amenities, service, views, and ski-in ski-out capabilities are truly unmatched and made our trip a dream. The rooms were luxurious, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay seamless, and even the food at the hotel restaurant was amazing! The cherry on top was the incredible rooftop onsen with a direct view of the mountains. All in all a 5 star experience and I would love to return someday!

The location is great if you are skiing and if the ski resort is open! We happen to be here when everything is already closed so its extremely quite around here. A little far from restaurants too. But service is excellent from minute we arrived. From reception to the cafe and restaurant. Room was nice and modern in design. Only one issue is the bathroom does not have separate control for water pressure and hot/cold water. And it's very difficult to control. Also found the bathrooms to be a title too dim especially for an old man like me. Guess Niseko is really a winter place. Even many eateries are closed after the winter season!

The experience of this stay was very good, and the whole family praised it! The counter staff is very kind, especially the gentleman at the counter on 7/20. The room facilities are also very complete. The variety of breakfast choices make people don't know how to choose. If I have a chance, I will definitely visit again!

Absolutely perfect stay at Sky Niseko! Our 10-day experience was nothing short of amazing. The 3-bedroom apartment we stayed in had the most breathtaking views — truly the best we’ve ever had. Every morning we woke up to snow-covered mountains, and it was pure magic.||The private onsen was a perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes, and having ski valet service was incredibly convenient — no need to lug our gear around. The staff were exceptional, friendly, and always willing to help with any request. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay.||Breakfast was absolutely incredible! Every morning, we were treated to a delicious spread that fueled us up for our adventures. The transfers were smooth and easy, and both drivers were very safe, competent, and cautious, adapting to the changing weather conditions. We felt completely at ease throughout the journey.||The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the amenities at the apartment exceeded our expectations. Everything you could possibly need (and more!) was provided. Traveling with our adult children and their partners was so easy thanks to the spaciousness of the apartment and the individual bathrooms for everyone.||We were so impressed with Sky Niseko that we booked again for next year before we even left! The staff were kind, helpful, and attentive, and made this trip even more special. A 10/10 experience in every way! Highly recommend.

Stayed at the penthouse for 3 nights. View was great. Just that accidentally left some items in the hotel room, the hotel staffs did not even notify me, until I reached out to them and ask for the stuffs to be sent to me. But they just threw away all the stuffs. Weird right? So if you accidentally left anything here, don’t get your hopes up of getting back the left item. I should say, contrary to the beautiful view and nice interior, the stay here is my worst stay in Japan.
