Skyewalker Hostel

Really can't complain, as good as a hostel could possibly get! Lovely atmosphere, everyone perfectly friendly, excellent facilities such as the kitchen and the ablutions. Beds and bedding were really comfy, would absolutely stay again. A freezer and washing machine would've been nice, other than that, 9.5/10. Would recommend!

I have enjoyed staying in hostels for fifty years! This is one of the best in my opinion. My husband and I stayed in a garden hut. It was great, very private. Used the kitchen and other areas in the common space. Everything clean, tidy and top notch.

Tim and Georgia were a wealth of information for our travels and Scottish history. Kitchen roomy, clean, organized, well equipped. Bathrooms/showers cleanest ever. Comfy rooms with more than enough space. Spacious, comfortable sitting room and dining areas. Eclectic decor. Neighborhood wonderful, quiet, although a wee bit of a challenge to drive to on the single lane roads. Worth it!

This was one of the top Hostels I have ever stayed at. Absolutely beautiful and clean facilities. The staff was the best part however. They were so warm, friendly and helpful. There was an Island wide power outage and they made the effort to drive out and buy food and snacks for everyone. We would love to go back!

We’d come for holidays in the UK and during our trip to the Highlands, we came across this beautiful property in the Isle of Skye. First, we were little skeptical to book because of the remote location and accessibility but after staying here for 2 days, we were so amazed to stay at such homely property. Tim and his team made our stay so pleasant and were so helpful and cooperative. With us, there were other guests too so made it more comforting and fun. When we arrived here, the temperature had dipped a little so was cold and windy but inside the hostel, it was so warm and we never felt dull. The rooms were 10/10, kitchen 10/10, living area 10/10, bathrooms and toilets 10/10. Cheers to the support staff who were with us and made our stay more lovely. I recommend whoever is planning a trip to the Isle of Skye, do plan to stay at this hostel for few days. Honestly, I thought Portree would have better hostels and stay but when I visited there, I felt I made a right choice to stay at Skywalker. Thanks again to the team, we are definitely visiting again. Some photos attaching, when we arrived there was a rainbow too so you are literally touching sky, fresh oxygen. Photos wont do justice hence better to visit in person.

We loved our stay at this hostel. Probably the best hostel any of our group had stayed in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place had a lot of personality and heart. Well supplied kitchen. Really enjoyed hanging out in the dome in the evening and met some other fun guests. Be aware that the roads to get there are small and windy so leave yourself extra time. But the views are spectacular.

We came here after a disappointing stay at another hostel in Skye. For the same price, the standard of facilities and cleanliness here was leagues beyond. Better than several hotels we stayed at. Plus, the location is convenient for exploring Skye. The eclectic decor lent it charm, but most importantly everything was spotless. The kitchen was fully equipped, the dining room and lounge were fabulous, the bathrooms super clean and spacious. Service was very friendly, got a nice tour and they were very helpful with travel advice. I only couldn't understand how there were any rooms left at all! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Im so glad I found this place. It's a whimsical spot, close to the fairy pools, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The service is impeccable, the friendliest staff I've encountered in Scotland so far. The community vibe in the hostel was great. Things I loved: - the backyard big chess board - glass dome - wide selection of games and books - the funny quips and tidbits on the bathroom doors (so entertaining) - security locks on each room door - the well equipped kitchen The only thing I wish was different was some seating in the bunk bed room where we stayed. I would 100% stay here again!
