SkyHelix Sentosa

A kind of open-air elevator, which goes up to a little less than 80m while rotating. This gives you a beautiful 360-degree view of the entire area. You are secured in a chair with a seat belt, your legs hang in the air. The experience doesn't last very long (like 10-15 minutes) but it's beautiful.

Tried out SkyHelix at Sentosa and it was quite an experience. Would recommend going only when the weather is clear — if it rains, they won’t allow the ride to start. On a good day, the view is stunning and gives a whole new perspective of Sentosa and Singapore. Sitting with your legs dangling above while enjoying a cold drink was definitely memorable. The ride itself isn’t very long, and personally, I found it a bit pricey. But overall, it’s a unique experience worth trying at least once.

Finally got to take the ride since its inception. Enjoyed myself with the breathtaking view and wind! Shout out to Thila for her detailed and enthusiastic guiding during the tour. Will definitely be back here again!

The 6pm evening timeslot was really crowded with an estimated 1-hour waiting time so we decided to go for dinner first before coming back at 8.45pm... Waiting time was 15 minutes and there was one other family. No sunset view by then, but the staff had more time to take photos for us and we managed to catch some of the 9pm fireworks!

Iskandar provided excellent customer service and photo taking session for everyone on the helix. Recommend boarding the helix at around 6.30pm for the sunset.

It’s literally a tourist attraction. I think it’s worth the experience just if you buy it through the sky orbit cable care ticket (so it’s free) and if you don’t have anything more to do at Sentosa. I’ve waited for 50 minutes, because every ride takes at least 20 min. When you go up there is nothing to do, just sitting around and looking at the industrial area (not a good view obviously but somehow interesting), the city (very far away), and the not very beautiful sea of Sentosa.

We waited for 30 minutes in a long line. The two staff working the ride allowed 12 people to cut the line while we were waiting, even though there’s no fast pass option. We heard them question that these people were not already waiting but for some reason they let them in anyway. I calmly mentioned this to the staff and explained that this was unprofessional and unfair to those of us waiting, and they could not have cared less and were quite rude in their response. We left the line after being treated like that. Cable car has better views anyway.
