"Why we love it: A design-savvy boutique hotel with direct beach access The Highlights: - Bright design that’s full of personality - A focus on exploring the hotel’s natural surroundings - Direct access to pristine Seven Mile Beach The Review: A welcome departure from the classic Negril resort scene, this stylish boutique hotel—opened in 2018—melds local flavor, a vintage Havana feel, and a contemporary sensibility in a way that speaks to the curious, independent traveler. Set along 220 pristine feet of Seven Mile Beach, the hotel features a clean-lined, mid-century modern-inspired aesthetic throughout, accented by bright textiles, artwork, and a curated soundtrack that celebrates the history of Jamaican music. Room options range from studios set on the second floor of the accommodation wing, to options with patios or balconies looking out at either the garden or the ocean. All have air conditioning, USB outlets, Bluetooth radio, free Wi-Fi, and mini-bars. Skylark is big on encouraging guests to explore the area, whether that means taking advantage of the direct beach access (the hotel provides loungers, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and beach games, plus food and beverage service), going for a boat ride, hiking to a waterfall, or zip-lining through the jungle."
Excellent would recommend. Staff incredibly pleasant and helpful could not be nicer. New HiLo supermarket 5 min walk away which makes all the difference. Balcony was nice, garden was lovely to look at with lots of plants. Rooms are big but could be improved with kettle and TV. Not keen on the wet room makes it hard to keep bathroom floor clean. Toilet a bit low. Felt very safe. On site restaurant excellent, especially breakfast, but v pricey. Beach obviously magnificent. Would stay again.

My daughter and I stayed at Skylark for 7 nights. The bed was very comfortable! The daily return shuttle to Rockhouse is very convenient. We were so happy to spend time there, but Skylark was our home.
Every morning was relaxing drinking coffee and swimming in the glass-like ocean. We were always greeted by the lifeguards, Scott and Sephron, and the lovely security team, especially Martin. We really enjoyed being served by Rajay and his friendly crew on the beach all day.
On our first night we were served by Rushank at Miss Lily’s and he set a high standard of service. He and the talented evening chefs made every meal enjoyable. Skylark is the moment and thanks to the amazing staff who make it so special.
My only gripe is that the food and drink prices are steep. I do not begrudge the 10% added service charge, I only hope that the staff collectively receive it. There is ALSO a 10% tourist consumption charge which is annoying because on top of this the staff really rely on extra tips.
One of my other favorite things about Skylark, directly across the street is a Beachy Bar, Portmore, where you will meet the fun and kind Keresha. You won’t regret going to see her for a real Jamaican experience. One Love.

My stay was a 10/10. Skylark is a small boutique hotel conveniently located on negrils beautiful 7 mile beach, with easy access to the hi Lo supermarket across the street .The hotel pays homage to several Jamaican musical icons , that can be seen in your room and all over the hotel . The hotel grounds are cozy and very clean , the rooms are well stocked and clean as well . Overall a cool , chill vibe , very relaxing .The meals and drinks are good .I want to give a big shout out to the staff , across the board , thank you !….. they are amazing !!!!|Saphron, Scott and Orlando, always checking to make sure that I was ok . Veronica and Shirnette, I had the most amazing spa treatments with them , never disappointed and the views in the treatment rooms are unmatched . Definitely book a spa treatment. Everyone was pleasant and greeted you with a smile , housekeeping , dining room staff , front desk and the staff in the cutest gift shop ever , please check it out , beautifully curated with local vendor products . I will definitely be returning .

Great massage at the spa! I loved the choice of aromatherapy oils to pick from. I got a deep tissue and it was very strong and great. The hotel is perfect. It’s right on the beach. The rooms are fun, colorful and modern. Miss Lily’s is a great restaurant. We ate all of our meals there. I loved the fresh juices at breakfast l, the chopped chicken salad at lunch and the jerk chicken at dinner.
My only suggestion is to have different bath products, the shampoo and conditioner was very drying. The salt water is drying on hair and body and a more hydrating conditioner is needed. Also, adding a robe and slippers to the room is a nice touch. I wanted that daily to relax. Other than that, it was an amazing first stay in Jamaica!

We have had a great stay at Skylark. It's a magical place. Beautiful scenery and really friendly staff. The food and drinks were delicious and we were looked after so well. The housekeeping staff did a fabulous job with the room. Special mention to Scott and the other lifeguards who took care of us on the beach. On our last day my daughter and I had massages in the spa which was a perfect ending. Sophia gave me the best massage I have ever had and my daughter had an equally excellent experience with Shernette. See you next year!

Quiet rooms, big beds, and a very clean beach! 🏖️ We loved the decor as well. I walked around and felt like Skylark seemed one of the best maintained. The staff were nice as well. We had a great time and would come back. Only suggestion is that the in room mini bar item (like water) prices were too steep.

We have stayed at Rockhouse so decided to try their sister property, Skylark.
Just as AWESOME! But on the beach. Seven mile beach is lovely. Calm turquoise water, soft white powdery sand. Rooms are decorated in a funky eclectic, of days past vibe, loved it! Clean with great a/c. The resort is well maintained. Staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Great restaurant onsite, Lilly’s. The property exudes a laid back vibe. A true GEM in Negril. Thank you Skylark!

Stayed at Skylark for a few days while my fiancé was in Negril for a work event and honestly, I loved it! The room was super clean and had a cool, laid-back vibe. The minibar was fully stocked with snacks and drinks which was a nice surprise, though I do wish there was something for warm drinks like tea or coffee. Still, the overall vibe was great; cute, chill, and right by the beach. Would definitely go back!
