This place is fantastic! My wife, son, and I stayed here for two nights last week. The Lodge, the room, the friendly service...everything was great. The breakfast was delicious. We took one of the two-hour Broadwater River trail rides. We are all beginners. Our guide, Colter, was awesome. He gave us great instructions and made us all comfortable. He was great about making sure our 10 year old was included in the conversations and felt comfortable and safe during the ride. All of the horses were great and appeared to be very well trained. I would absolutely recommend Skyline to anyone. And the next time we're out there we'll definitely stay here again and take one of the all-day rides. Also, Cooke City is a very cool little town. It's right out side of the NE entrance to Yellowstone and provides easy access to Lamar Valley.

Such a beautiful place! As a guest I definitely felt welcomed and pampered. Perfect stay! Astounding scenery, a cozy yet luxurious room, delicious hot breakfasts, friendly staff and animals. No worries at all, no hesitation to recommend. The basics are wonderful (comfortable bed, fluffy towels, hot water, good water pressure, neat and clean room). But everything beyond the basics was great too! And so worth it! Special highlights were seeing deer and a moose on the property, a stunning horseback ride, and amazing sweet treats at the desk. I have many happy memories to cherish, and I’d love to return one day. This is where you want to be if you’re visiting the area! I can’t imagine a better spot to relax and unwind after exploring Yellowstone. Skyline Guest Ranch thank you!

We visited 2 years ago but think about the trip often. I'm fact, so much so that I realized I never left a review so I'm coming back to give them the credit due. This place was amazing and the staff were world class. We loved having breakfast and dinner each night with them and even though I'm sure they've heard the same tourist questions a million times over, their responses were always heartfelt and given as if it were the first time they'd ever heard the question. Their horses aren't broken robots and you can actually enjoy going off the beaten path with them. You'll build a true relationship with your horse which is an experience in itself. I can't say enough good things about this ranch or its people. We will be back.

Stayed here one night before entering Yellowstone Park. It is a beautiful timber structure with lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy, and a large common area and dining room. Check in was quick and easy. We were in the Gallatin room, which was very comfortable with a queen bed and nice decor. The bathroom was bright and spacious. We need a lightbulb changed in the bathroom, which was accomplished very quickly.||Breakfast was delicious with scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, fresh fruit, and super delicious berry muffins. ||We were not here long enough to participate in any of the tours that they offered – maybe another time !

I cannot say enough good things about Skyline Ranch and my stay there. I booked the new Bunker House. Wow, it's incredible! My very own little log cabin. So beautifully done! The most comfortable bed and pillows ever and that tub! I was in heaven to see all the gorgeous horses and the mom and new foal. And the dogs! I love all the dogs, I always miss mine so much when traveling, it was an absolute pleasure to have the dogs with us! And wow the food! 5 stars! So impressed with every single meal! Better than any restaurant that I've ever been to! If I ever win the lotto, I will hire them to be my personal chef! The family! Such a beautiful family! Simply amazing! They make you feel like part of the family. They are so amazing at guiding you on your adventures and made it so much fun along the way! My favorite was the horses of course. I loved learning to fly fish, it was so incredibly fun! Unfortunately, we did not get to kayak, and I was really looking forward to that. I would highly recommend the yoga class and massage after. The main house is so beautiful and transforms into a hat party, yoga studio and spa, simply Amazing! I loved the family night and acoustic guitar jam and singling along and getting some line dancing in! So much fun! I loved the hat burning party and my new hat! Our trip into Yellowstone was epic. I was overwhelmed by the beauty and massiveness of Yellowstone. I will admit one section of the Touraine was a little scary for a beginner horse rider with going down the steep paths and we experienced a wicked storm on the way back which was scary to experience but WOW what a memory and story to tell of Yellowstone! I did also experience attitude sickness, so make sure you do all you can to help for that. I traveled solo and felt completely safe to do so. I loved that I met 4 other solo travels, and they were amazing and made the time so much fun! We made some great friendships! We hit the town to get some souvenirs, such a cute town! I honestly, did not want to leave, I could have stayed there forever! I Highly recommend Skyline Ranch! I will be going back!

Stayed 10/7/24 : Absolutely exactly as advertised! Kind hosts, rooms and beds that are so comfortable, amazing Montana atmosphere, delicious breakfast! Wish we’d stayed more nights! The room and property looked exactly like the pictures. We saw bison and deer on the property too. Notes: you probably won’t have cell service anywhere near - so make sure you have directions ☺️ but they have WiFi available. Ate dinner at Miners Saloon (at their recommendation) and it was good food and reasonably priced! There’s not a lot out here but that’s what we were looking for between Yellowstone and Beartooth Highway

This was the adventure I’ve always dreamed about, but never really took any steps to fulfill my dream until I seriously asked myself, “what I was waiting for?”||Skyline is a beautiful place. Great care was put into all the details of the lodge, and the excursions. The meals were 10/10, along with all of the staff. The staff was genuine and GOOD people. ||As an introvert, I felt my need for solitude was respected. But I also really enjoyed meeting the other women on this trip. I think it’s safe to say I’ve made some good friends, along with amazing memories. I would not hesitate to return, or recommend, Skyline Guest Ranch.||Now, ask yourself…. What are YOU waiting for? Just do it! You’ll have ZERO regrets!

Yelp
We make this trip through Cook city, about every three years and always stay at the Skyline Guest Ranch just east of Cook city,. Headed to bear tooth pass on the left. Nice cabin fill, each room have a special name. Beds are nice. The breakfast is amazing. Laura and Luke have taken over and doing a great job. You can take Great horseback ride or have them take you up on the lake and do a little fishing or just stay in pass through. That's what we do, enjoy you won't be disappointed and then head down chief Joseph scenic Highway in the Cody Wyoming

Yelp
I stayed at another cabin in Cooke City-Silver Gate and just drove east on the Beartooth Highway. I saw a sign board at the entrance of Skyline Ranch that they offered Horseback riding. I signed up for a last minute two hour ride. Kylie was our guide that trip and he was very courteous and knowledgeable. It was my first horse riding experience but he made it easy for me. There were two doggos who welcomed guests :) and they accompanied us the entire trip, chasing squirrels along the way. It was amazing to be able to cross small lakes and climb up cliffs. The view of Kersey lake from up above was just scenic. Highly recommend if you are in that area and have a couple of hours to spend. You might spot wildlife if you are lucky. The horse I was on - Trudy and she was a gem.

Yelp
Everything about Skyline is wonderful! The Morris family are such a joy to be around, the lodge is quaint and welcoming, the food was delicious, scenery is beautiful and the riding and fishing was astounding! I highly recommend Skyline! We look forward to returning some day!

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Skyline Guest Ranch. Our accommodations were excellent-very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! Would highly recommend staying here if you are going to be in the area. The drive in was spectacular too.

Yelp
Liz and Vic Jackson are in the business of helping their guests have the best times ever in the Montana backwoods. Horseback riding. Fishing. Guided Sightseeing. Their business includes a lodge which is a rustic bed and breakfast. Whether you'd like an all included stay or rent horses or guides by the hour, you'll be delighted with Skyline Guest Ranch and Guide Service. My family and I have stayed with Liz and Vic many times over the last 35 years and look forward to adventure and delicious meals on every visit.

Yelp
Skyline Guest Ranch and Guide Services in the REAL deal! Our group of fly fishermen has been using Skyline for years. The accommodations at the lodge are incredible. Delicious breakfast included. Vic, Liz and family really takes care of you. We have been going out to Cooke City early July. The multi night backcountry fly fishing trips into Yellowstone is just fabulous. Vic, Luke, and the boys are hard workers, and make your time in the backcountry amazing. Our group have been taking the full service fly fishing pack trips into Yellowstone's Slough Creek(Third Meadow). Nothing like having that Native Yellowstone Cutthroat trout taking your dry fly! Great for couples too. My wife and I reserved a week at the Lodge few years ago. Northeast entrance to Yellowstone only 4 miles away. Great Day trips though Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge. Joseph Highway to Cody. Location, Location Location! Honest reasonable rates for accommodations and Guide Services. Relax and enjoy the outdoors of Yellowstone's country. Thanks Vic and Liz for the years.
