We came here on a Sunday evening for family dinner. We were a party of 8 and wanted to sit on the rooftop. We had to wait a bit for the party who was sitting there to finally get up and then we could bring our grandma on their elevator. The elevator makes a funky ring noise. We were sat down and Robert C served us. He was great and very courteous. My wife wanted to taste a beer before ordering which he accommodated. I ordered the blue burger and it was delish. I upgraded to a side of sweet potato fries which was a good call. My son got their bbq combo with brisket and pulled pork and Mac and cheese and they devoured it. My other son ordered two half salads. A wedge and a bbq chicken salad. He liked them but was only weirded out that the wedge salad has green olives cucumbers and tomatoes on the side too. Over all you cannot beat the location and views of this rooftop. The menu is varied and has an option for anything that you want and the quality for the price was great. We will certainly be back again. Oh, and upon a yelp check in we got a coupon for a brownie but they don’t have it anymore so they brought us a sundae in a waffle cone.

You can never go wrong were you want to be seated, whether in the upper level for the views, the second floor for the live band, the private rooms. The food was excellent, we shared the BBQ plate and a few appetizers. They were impeccable. There may be a wait for the food but it was worth.

Definitely here for the view and access to the beach. Service was very good. Top deck was not packed with people but space is limited if you want that classic view of the sunset. The fish and chips were okay, the wedge salad definitely benefited by adding shrimp. The grilled octopus appetizer is exceptional. Over all good but not necessarily spectacular.

Atmosphere, view and service were great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food however was just soso, i ordered fish and chips but the fish wasn’t delicious or soft, didn’t melt. The burgers were good though. Overall i recommend for the view and brisket nachos.

I really enjoyed the drinks, great wine selection and appetizers. The menu has a wide selection of seafood, hamburgers, steaks, and BBQ dishes. We decided to sit in the rooftop and had a view to the beach. Great atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed with my halibut dinner, I'm not sure what kind of sauce they used, but it had a thick white sauce on top. The scallops were good, they came wrapped up in proscuto, and the seared tuna was enjoyable. I really enjoyed the view.

The Skyloft was amazing! The rooftop was full of people and the energy and vibe was popping! We ate steak, salmon, clam chowder and a wedge salad. The portions were generous and we were able to take home leftovers!

BEST SPOT IN LAGUNA BEACH!! I celebrated my bday there yesterday with friends and family and it was an amazing, LARISSA ( hope I got it right) she was an amazing waitress, made being there so much fun. Food was delicious and drinks were amazing, and to the two busers ( my apologies I forgot your guys name) you guys were also awesome!! I will definitely be coming back. Also the rooftop view was beautiful.

probably the best view I had the fed is nice but if you go for drinks and relax definitely one of the best spots in Laguna atmosphere is nice will be back

First of all the ambiance at Skyloft would be impossible to beat. If you're anywhere near Laguna come check them out just to experience the interior design and the rooftop views. But the team at Skyloft doesn't sit back and expect the amazing space to carry the day. The staff are all friendly and super accommodating. We booked a party of eight on New Year's Day and they made a special call the day of the reservation to remind us they were closing early for the holiday and offered us the option of coming in early to make sure we didn't feel rushed. The food was a great balance of house smoked meats, pasta dishes, and great seafood. They has great options on the kid menus, crafted cocktails for the ladies, and a great beer selection as well. We had such a great time that we unintentionally stayed past the early close and the staff never made us feel unwelcome. They even graciously took photos of our group before we parted ways. Recommendations of specific offerings from our group include the brisket, burger, Brussels, pulled pork, the Cajun pasta, the primavera, and the baked Brie! Our new favorite spot in Laguna!

This is not a temporary closure, rather it's permanent. Website is shut down. Phone calls are being forwarded and answered by Mozambique who has shared ownership. The Bodega Bodega Laguna Cocina & Cantina downstairs is also closed for good. No word yet if either eatery will reopen or what might replace the now-vacant venues. EDIT: Announcing the closure of your restaurant is a delicate process, and it's important to convey the news thoughtfully and professionally. A hand written note written on the back of an exterminator's report and taped to the door is hardly thoughtful or professional. Hence, 1 star.

We came to check out the Herb's Place speakeasy and Jingle Bar that was festively decorated for the holidays. Herb's Place We ordered the prime rib sandwich and burger, which were both fantastic! Our server was friendly and checked on us often. I ordered the Mistletoe Margarita from the holiday cocktail menu, which was crafted with whiskey instead of tequila and so delicious. My husband tried the Johnny Thunder from the signature menu, and it was equally fantastic. The bartender mixed our drinks with the perfect spirit to mixer ratio. Specialty drinks average around $17, sandwiches/burgers around $20. Jingle Bar We moved to the bar when we finished our meal. I tried the Mint Cookie Monster, which tasted like a thin mint cookie, and the Polar Express, which had a dominant peppermint flavor and was decadently topped with whipped cream and espresso. Both were fabulous dessert drinks. My husband had a Mai tai, which was ok. The sparkling holiday decor and Christmas music playing created a cozy ambiance that's atypical of most bars. Around 3:45, I asked the manager if we needed reservations to be seated on the rooftop. He said no, it's open seating, but we couldn't just sit up there for cocktails as it's reserved for dining customers. Considering we had just spent $165 on food and drinks, I felt it was bad business. We left and enjoyed the sunset at the beach, which is literally across the street. Misc. Our reservation was for 2:45, and the inside was fairly empty. Most people entering went directly to the rooftop. It's a popular place to watch the early sunset. It started getting very busy right at the golden hour (3:45, an hour before sunset). Public parking was easy to find. Use this address: 501 Glenneyre St, Laguna Beach, CA 92651 3 hours max, $3 per hour which was payable through the website posted on the street lamps. The lot we parked in had stairs that led directly down to shops that were adjacent to Skyloft. There's a sizable stage/dancing area. Check the website for the live music schedule. We really enjoyed the food, ambiance, service, and cocktails. Next time we will save our appetites so we can sit on the rooftop.

We weren't so sure about this place when we walked in... it was empty and dark downstairs so my parents immediately wanted to leave. We made our way to the Skybar upstairs and the view made them change their minds. We ordered the calamari, the 3 proteins / 1 side BBQ plate and the cheeseburger with Mac & Cheese. So so so good. Every dish was amazing. My parents really loved how fresh the calamari was. We devoured the burger. I don't know why the overall rating of this place is a little lower, but I imagine it's because of service. It was a little slower but our waitress, Andrea was so patient and helpful. Would highly recommend stopping by. Also make sure to check out the website to see if they have any deals going on. We went today and they had 25% off but you had to mention it for it to apply.

I got the pleasure of dining at Mozambique and so Skyloft was a must. We came with reservations and so we were seated right away. Love that Skyloft offers a few levels, one level having dining seating, a bar and a dance area and the other level being a rooftop with dining seating and an amazing view. Our server, Nick, was great - super attentive, offered great recommendations, and had great vibes. We ordered the calamari/fries, wedge salad, the halibut and risotto dish and finished with bread pudding. I was impressed with their fries, wedge salad and risotto and would definitely recommend. My George Peach Cobbler cocktail was amazingly delicious as well.

Came here on a whim to buy time for traffic to go down. I had the best experience at this place. Even though it was cold outside, I sat on the roof and they turned on the heaters all around me to make it warm. The drink selection and the food selection is fantastic. I ended up doing a burger, which is great because they offer beyond patties For vegetarians. I ended up doing the BBQ burger, which was absolutely delicious. I am astounded with how delicious the food was, and I highly recommend doing a boozy shake for dessert. Not to mention, we had some of the best service ever from Jamie. It was a 10 out of 10 experience and I hope every time going back there it will be just like the first!

Wednesday night live band!!! Seriously enjoyed this evening at Skyloft. Food is pretty good. I ordered the Sky loft salad it was great ... the only problem or complaint about it is that I added chicken breast to it for an additional prize and the piece of chicken was so thin and not enough. I don't think it was a whole chicken breast and also ordered the cornbread . This corn bread is amazing. It comes to it in order. It is moist and so flavorful and warm with butter. They have beers on tap and full bar service .

Exceeded our expectations! Good food, great service and great views. Usually rooftop places can be overpriced or not worth it because the food and drinks are average. The roof is first come first serve. If you make a reservation you can request it but you may have to wait or you can get lucky. The inside area is nice as well. The service was really good. Friendly, helpful and went the extra mile. My wife and I went on a Friday night when it was a little cold so it wasn't too busy so we got a seat on the roof. We both got a different burger and shared a wedge salad. Both were tasty and decent portion in comparison to the price. We definitely want to come back on another date and bring friends as well! Parking is free after 7pm in a structure, the street and other lots. If not you have to pay. Recommend this place if you're in the area! And if you don't like the food, the views are nice!

The Christmas decor is so cute. I love that there is a Christmas bar in Laguna! The vibes are very chill and there is live music at night. It is a perfect place to grab a night time cocktail and listen to some good music.

We came here for after-dinner drinks. I had the Skyloft West Coast IPA and my boyfriend had the Clasè Azul tequila. The view was amazing from the Skybar, the top level. They had plenty of heaters to keep you warm.

Laid back spot to get a drink while watching the sunset. What could be better after a beach day? The bartenders are attentive, and I really enjoyed my boozy milkshake! The food was okay, nothing spectacular, but the overall experience was nice. Bonus points: They also have live music!

Beautiful place and ambience. Rooftop bar is amazing, and staff were great. We ordered the calamari app and it was probably the worst calamari I've ever had. It was served with fries, which were good. I'd return for drinks and to try another app, but wasn't impressed.

This is a great rooftop bar in Laguna Beach! Easy to find. Our bartender was super nice even though we showed up 20 minutes before last call. We didn't eat, but our cocktails were great! I got the seasonal pb&j espresso martini. Very unique and fun!

Decided to randomly visit with a friend, so all they had was bar seating on the rooftop. Once we were able to sit I got a beer & the calamari. To be honest, some of the absolute best calamari and the fries that came with it were amazing! So surprised with how great it tasted. Because we were on the rooftop, it wasn't too loud since they had live performers downstairs. Honestly overall it was a great vibe and so glad we stopped by.

I loved this rooftop so much! We made a reservation for the rooftop same-day and we were seated right away. We got an amazing view of the sunset over Laguna Beach. I had a dirty martini with delicious olives and my second was the Pear mule. I loved that drink!! The pear flavored vodka paired so well with ginger beer! Definitely recommend. They delivered the drinks in a timely manner. We didn't eat because we had reservations elsewhere after, but the food looked so good!!

Everyone recommended this spot to my friend and I. We ventured over at 10pm on Saturday night, and payed a $10 cover change. They accept cash, card, Apple Pay etc. there was a live band playing very loudly down stairs, and we went all the way to the rooftop. Our server informed us they closed in 15 minutes. We each ordered our drinks, I had a cucumber jalapeño margarita, my friend had a tequila club soda. The server was super friendly and ended up bringing us another drink while we sat and talked for an hour. The view at night is mostly of buildings in the distance, I'm sure it's prettier during the day. The table next to us ordered a lot of happy hour food, the burger, and carne asada fries looked and smelled great. They continued to seat large parties and serve them... not sure why they said they were closing. It's a lively atmosphere and everyone was in great spirits.

Cucumber Marg was as D delicious as the food! I had the Sword Fish, hubby and our daughter had the Cajun Chicken, daughter's BF ordered the Prime Rib. Our server was attentive, and engaging. Great night.

Came here with girlfriends on a Saturday night and it was super fun. The food and atmosphere is great. Drinks were good but ocean view was 10/10. Bartenders were not too friendly, but we overall had a really good time.

Stopped in for a bite to eat after watching a play down the street. The kitchen was closing soon but we were able to order: carne asada fries, nachos and the meat sampler platter. The cocktails were good. I really enjoyed the seasonal cocktail, Love Potion. Loved the decor, dancing in the bare area for a $10 cover. Service was fast & friendly. Would go back when in the area. Forgot to take food pics...too hungry. Get a free dessert when you check-in 9n Yelp.

The rooftop seating is really unbeatable, It is close enough to the beach where you get a great view of the ocean, and but yet far enough from the downtown boardwalk just slightly enough that you aren't knee deep in the crowds during the busy season. I think the food here is fine, not bad, but not mind-blowing or memorable either. It is tough completion out here in Laguna, and to be fair, I probably need to try more dishes to provide a more fair review, but I think the view itself is what sells this place, which really is unbeatable, as I reiterate again. The daytime vibes is relaxing, but the night is more of club fee;lm, as a heads up for those who may not want a loud environment, this place is not for you. Otherwise though, it is a fun spot to eat and hang out at here in downtown Laguna.

We stopped in for drinks but we ended up trying the wings because it was happy hour. The food menu for HH is really great especially because it comes with views of the ocean + parking is easy. The best part of the experience was our server Jaime. He had great attitude and answered all our questions. Definitely recommend. Grab the jalapeño cucumber margarita - it's not on the happy hour menu but it's delicious!

Dog friendly, rooftop patio that has an ocean view, with excellent food and service. Life doesn't get much better than enjoying some food overlooking the ocean from here. Umbrellas keep you cool and shaded. They brought a bowl of water to my puppy and they are super fast to refill waters and take your order. Portions are huge so bring an appetite.

We went to celebrate a birthday and they were very accommodating. We called and had to change the reservations a couple times and they were all very nice. It was 10 girls and our server Juan did a great job taking care of all of us. The food was a lot better than expected and the Dj was a lot of fun. I only wish we were able to go to the rooftop but they had a buy out so we weren't able too.

We scored a rooftop table on a Monday night just in time for sunset! We were coming for drinks before a dinner reservation, so we were served by the bartender who was incredibly kind. I got the fall season cocktail (caramel apple tini), which was amazing! Very sweet, but not overpowering. My partner got a blueberry mojito which he loved as well. You can't beat the view of the sunset and they also had a great classic rock playlist. Can't wait to come back!

Great rooftop restaurant in Laguna! I like coming here for lunch as it's not as busy as afternoon or dinner times. The views are beautiful from the rooftop seating. Service is also prompt and friendly at lunch. Skyloft also has fantastic barbecue for California. The brisket and sausage are my favorites - perfectly juicy and smoky.

came here for my birthday. The filet mignon was super tender and juicy! The Tiramisu cocktail was very sweet, but still good. Robert was an AMAZING server and was very attentive! My boyfriend and I will most definitely be back! The lounge was decorated with christmas decor which was super cute. 100/10 recommend

Stairs no elevator good food noisy free ride to the restaurant. A lot of people going to top floor a dance bar. In fact way to much food lol

My husband and I came here for the first time This Saturday. Food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful! We put our name in early at 2:15 and went on a 30 minute walk by the beach. The host calls us up and was excited to tell us he got us the best seats on the rooftop! 3:00 happy hour starts so the timing was perfect. Our server, Robert was very nice and came by often. All the drinks were delicious and unique. And the food was excellent.

I recently visited Skyloft, a restaurant I've previously enjoyed for its rooftop seating and stunning beach and ocean views. Unfortunately, my latest experience was a significant letdown due to what I believe was discriminatory treatment by the host of the rooftop seating area. When I requested a table with a good ocean view, the host was adamant about not giving us those seats. She initially claimed they were reserved, which seemed odd since the restaurant had a sign on the first floor stating they don't take reservations for rooftop seating. When I questioned her about this, she confirmed that reservations were not allowed and then changed her excuse, saying the tables were only meant for groups of four. Moments later, a family of six was seated at the exact table we had requested. When I asked why they were accommodated and not us, she provided yet another excuse, saying there were no parties of four, so they had to seat the group of six. Her inconsistent responses and the discriminatory vibe made the whole experience unpleasant. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but she was white, with blonde hair, and a bit chubby with relatively high facial fat. My family rarely visits from the East Coast, and I chose Skyloft because of my previous good experiences. This visit was a huge letdown. I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this restaurant to any of my friends. It's disheartening to see such backward and discriminatory behavior at a place that I once enjoyed.

Got ahi tuna sandwich 8/10, chicken sandwich 8/10 pretty solid and bbq platter was pretty good too but veggies were too burnt. Nice vibe for a weekend lunch with beach view. Beer selection was pretty nice too.

Had an amazing brunch at Skyloft in Laguna Beach. My friends and I sat on the roof. It has a nice view. The food and drinks were great! Friendly host too.

The ambiance and service is fantastic. The food is mostly great, everything we ordered was good except the calamari. The Calamari was horribly rubbery and soggy.
