The Best Places to See the Fourth of July Fireworks at Niagara Falls

"It's not often you get the chance to look down at fireworks, but that's precisely what you get if you ascend Skylon Tower on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, which tops out at 775 feet above the Niagara River. On top are a rotating restaurant and an observation deck—we recommend making a dinner reservation before the Fourth of July fireworks, then heading to the observation deck for the show."

9 of the Best Niagara Falls Viewpoints

"I rode up Skylon Tower, a Space Needle–like structure on the Canadian side that stands 764 feet above the water; the observation deck offers aerial views (book daytime, nighttime, or both to see the LED-lit falls after dark), and you can reserve a table at the revolving restaurant located above the observation decks." - Stefanie Waldek Stefanie Waldek Stefanie Waldek is a space, travel, and design journalist with expertise in aviation, meteorology, and polar regions. Best ways to enjoy the Niagara Falls - SilverKris

"A 236‑metre observation tower on the Canadian side that provides panoramic, elevated views of the falls and surrounding geography; observation decks allow excellent photography despite a protective wire fence, and a 360‑degree revolving restaurant at the top offers dining with a sweeping vista—reservations are advisable during busy times." - Nicola Iseard

Recommended, view is worth it. Food was nice good portions, salmon was really tasty cook perfectly. Service wasn’t good we have two waiters one a girl was nice but the older guy was no patient and kind of rude. But we saw other tables were really happy with services maybe just our luck. Nice place to go, as the CN tower rotates so you can have a 360o view in around one hour period.

Google
We came for the views with a relaxed meal experience. We got that absolutely 100%. The food was good, without being brilliant. No complaints. The service was ok, but a little chaotic. The views and revolving restaurant (not the buffet) was what we came for, and what we got as an experience. Its a litle over priced for what you get for sure. We came to Niagara for a once in a lifetime experience, and this restaurant played its part. We also got to experience the views from the observation deck afterwards as well, so overall would do it again, even knowing the rest of what i mention.

Google
While I did not go to the restaurant, I did go for the observation deck and it was so stunning. The view of Niagara Falls is amazing as well as being able to see the Buffalo and Toronto skylines. I highly recommend. The elevator up was also such a cool experience!

Google
I came here for a lunch buffet. Despite the bad reviews, I gave it a try. I lowered my expectations, so it was just like how I expected. The restaurant reminded me of a dormitory dining hall, extremely noisy and crowded. The food was not as bad as the reviews I read. There are plenty of options, one way or another you will find something to enjoy. It’s relatively cheap, so the price-quality point was good. However, your visit reason shouldn’t be for dining, but for the view and the overall experience. You can definitely find better food around the area, but you can’t always eat on top of the tower. So, I would suggest visiting this place once in your life and one time only.

Google
What an awesome experience!! Little expensive but worth the $20 per adult ticket to have a breathtaking view of the Niagara Falls area. Ticket grants you access to the indoor and outdoor observation decks. The indoor deck has some informative labels and posters to read up on the history/geography of the area. The outdoor deck is where you'll get to take some awesome shots of the falls and other city attractions. Little breezy so a light coat/cardigan is recommended.

Google
We went to the buffet dinner for $55/person. Expensive but beautiful view, food not so good. The rolls were rock hard, the steak/beef was dry and chewy, the chicken had a strange texture. The desserts were basic and slightly bland. The food was very disappointing especially for the cost. We couldn’t get out fast enough. I think we ate about $5 worth of food. None of us finished our plates. I didn’t want to complain because the help was very nice and sweet and I know they didn’t cook it. I would never go to the buffet ever again there but would try the other restaurant instead. The view on the observation deck was amazing! Really fun for the whole family.

Google
This is a must-do if you're visiting for the falls, a view unlike any other. Facilities are dated, staff clearly has a job to get done, and I am certain this is not an experience everyone can handle. I don't fear heights but something about this had me woosie. Got my pictures and got out haha.

Meira Chana Meyerovich

Google
Great views but the metal bars get in the way of the view in the pictures. The elevator is cool to ride in but there’s nothing to do up there, except take a few pictures, it’s a very short activity. You can also see a similar view for free from the Tower Hotel observation floor, if you’re staying there.

Yelp
Skylon Tower is ranked among the top Niagara Falls attractions, offering dining, sightseeing, and family fun under one iconic roof. The actual height of the Skylon Tower from the base is 520 feet. I made a reservation at 4:30 for the Revolving Dining room. The restaurant slowly rotates 360° every hour, giving you a changing panoramic view of the Falls, the Niagara River, the city, and beyond. To get to the restaurant, we rode the glass elevator that gets to the top in about 52 seconds. We were greeted by the host and promptly seated at a table with amazing views of the American Falls, the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, the Great Gorge, the Niagara Wine Region, and even the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. We did the three course early dinner that includes baguette and butter, mixed green salad, and chocolate mousse chantilly for dessert. For entrees we had the Roast Prime Rib of Beef au Jus - Prime rib slow roasted cooked perfectly to your liking, paired with a creamy horseradish sauce. Beef Tenderloin Strips Stroganoff - Strips of beef tenderloin sautéed in a cream sauce of mushrooms and white wine on a bed of linguine pasta. Grilled Fresh Salmon Filet - Perfectly season salmon filet topped with a hand-crafted hollandaise sauce. The food was cooked and seasoned well and was a good portion sizes. I was full and had leftovers of my prime rib. I ordered a peach Bellini from the bar which was a tasty frozen cocktail. The reservation also included free admission to the Ride-to-the-Top and both the Indoor and Outdoor Observation We went up to the observation deck to see more views of the falls. Visibility from the Observatory on a clear day is up to 80 miles (125 km). I highly recommend visiting this attraction to experience an enjoyable dining experience along with amazing food. The views from the glass door elevator and observation deck were amazing, although I preferred the views from the enclosed 360 restaurant.

Yelp
8 of us decided to come here while visiting Niagara Falls based upon the revolving restaurant which allows one to have a view of all sides of both sides of Niagara Falls and the city. One of the things we like was going up the building in an elevator, which was very cool! The food was good but super expensive. We knew it would be pricey but the bill for my wife and I was $155 and didn't include steaks or shrimp or cocktails, which seemed way to high Others felt the same way - food good, prices higher than expected. The service was a B rating. After dinner we took a quick walk around the Observation deck which was nice and took the elevator down. A nice place to eat but take a look at the menu prices depending upon what you feel you'd like to spend on good food and a great view.

Yelp
Dinner buffet for $49 Canadian dollars per person was pretty good. However, the service was questionable. You see that Caucasian at one part (south side of the restaurant) and all the Asians were placed to the other side (more of the north side). Although the view was really good , our server was pretty nice, but that way where everybody sits just made me uncomfortable.
google avatar

Joe Z.

Yelp
Unbelievable view really good food too. Very expensive burgers, 40 something dollars. I didn't get the seafood supreme. I think that's what it was called. It was really good.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience, the food was very good with great flavor. The place has a great ambience and is very welcoming. The service was top-notch as there were two ladies assigned to our table and they hustle to make sure that our service was superb, cheers

Yelp
$15 is a fair price to ride up and take some photos for 10-15 minutes and come back down. This is like going up into the Space Needle or any such other large, tall structure, however - they don't all overlook something as naturally awe-inspiring as the American, Bridal and Horseshoe falls. It's a unique vantage point to see the entire waterfall area and it's beautiful. The souvenir shop at the top is actually cute and has some fair-priced items - I found a cute keychain for $4.98 when usually such items would be like $14.99.

Yelp
This place is really amazing, the food is very good. We were there in ours anniversary. 100% recommendations

Yelp
Very good food. Pricey, but you're getting very good food AND the ride up with access to the observation tower. My wife and both of my parents LOVED this. I thought it was very good, but I'm a bit of a cheapskate. The views, though, are undeniable. The food was really good, and we walked it off a bit on the observation deck after (which was fantastic). Our servers were attentive; one was very friendly, the other was just fine. I probably wouldn't do it again, but I'm glad I did it the once.

Yelp
So we made a reservation for here because we really wanted to see the fireworks and the view was so beautiful. I will say one thing about this place and probably the only positive thing was that the staff is SOOO friendly. And very attentive. The drinks were just ok. They took more than an hour just to bring our food. And the food was atrocious truthfully. A total tourist trap. Charging $70-80 for a steak that tastes like you something you get it from Applebees.

Yelp
We made reservations for the buffet. Paid parking on site $20 + 39.99 per person buffet. Salad bar area , roasted veggies, spicy noodle, a choice of meats chicken , beef, a fish does with some grab and go cups- the food was just ok, meat a little dry. You dont come here for the food, it's an experience of the view . The view is amazing and cool to watch everything down there

Yelp
I reserved my ticket online for the Ride-to the-Top observation deck experience while I was eating breakfast nearby. I visited the top of the tower on a very windy and rainy morning so that made for an adventure of its own. Needless to say, not that many people were out with me braving the winds and rain. The tower is a must do while in Niagara Falls for the 360° views. To see the area from this vantage point is a great way to appreciate the surrounding area. There is a Starbucks and souvenir shop at the base in case you need either.

Yelp
I only reserved dinner for the novelty at being able to eat at an iconic location. The workers were super nice as was our waiter. We did the buffet and a lot of the stuff was either tomato based sauces or vinegar pasta salads, as well as fries and chicken tenders. Not $59 PP type of food. The dessert bar however was pretty good and had a good variety. When you first walk in, you walk thru an arcade which I thought was cool - while dated (the whole building was), but it reminded me of my childhood. We did have a perfect view of one side of the falls. This is a one and done thing, nothing to repeat.

Yelp
The view: great. The food: terrible. If you want the view just pay for that and get food somewhere else. My friend got lobster that was overcooked, chewy, and dry. One lobster tail was $85. I had a feeling the food would be bad and didn't want to waste my money (impossible to not waste it here), so i got the eggplants which was the worst eggplant i've had in my life and for $54. These pricey entrees don't even come with a soup or salad, it is separate. We really wanted a Caesar salad and for $16 we thought how bad could it be, well it was terrible the dressing was so obviously watered down i didn't even taste ceasar and 75% of the lettuce was bone dry. Otherwise service was great, everyone is super nice and tentative.

Yelp
Really great views but kind of pricey if all you want to do is go to the top. It was $20 for adults and $10 for kids. The view from the top was amazing and they had a nice gift shop up there. I preferred this gift shop to the one at the bottom. They did have an arcade at a lower story from the tower elevators and offer fun group pictures for a charge. The staff were all so friendly along the way. We also had to pay $20 to park here. You can easily walk to all the viewing spots from this location, so it was worth parking here but that is a steep cost as well. We did not eat this time at any of the food services.

Yelp
oh my gosh... so fun... we had a seat at the rotating restaurant in the Skylon Tower. It's so worth it... Amazing amazing view this restaurant rotates one full-time an hour so you get to see the views on the amazing fall. as the angles change.. amazing we had such a beautiful day... Food was good and the beer was cold

Yelp
At a height of more than 235 meters above the falls, the Skylon Tower offers a spectacular bird's eye view of Niagara Falls, the Niagara Escarpment, and the city. The most iconic landmark in Niagara Falls is Skylon Tower, overlooking both the American and Canadian falls, the panoramic view from the top of Skylon Tower is truly breathtaking. Yes, you will have many points in the city, offer a splendid view but what about view from an elevated position- you can't beat it. Skylon Tower turned out to be one of my favorite experiences in Niagara Falls. At the time of our trip, simply taking the elevator to the top was CAD 19 per person. We did not opt for dining experience. Elevator # 3 (often called 'bug') mounted outside, takes 52 seconds to get to the top. On a clear day, you can see the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. The tower features an indoor/outdoor observation area and two restaurants. There are some food and shopping options on the first floor. Also, on the basement level, there are some video games and more snack options. Fact: Skylon Tower was designed by the Toronto architectural firm Bregman and Hamann, which was inspired by the Space Needle in Seattle that was constructed for the World's Fair in 1962.

Yelp
TLDR: Great for the experience, food is mediocre. We made reservations and checked in downstairs before heading towards the elevator, where they offer to take your photo before you head up. Photo is available for purchase downstairs. Elevator attendant was friendly. When we arrived, we were greeted by multiple hosts/servers. We were a group of 6 + 1 baby. A changing station is available but on a different floor so you will have to take the elevator up. They were very accommodating and gave us a large space by the window. The rotating restaurant takes about an hour or so to make a full lap. You get a nice view of the falls and surrounding area. After dinner, you can head up to the observation deck. We went for the Early Dinner Menu ($55) which comes with a salad, main, and a dessert. Of the 5 choices for the main course, two were unavailable. The bread service came first but it was pretty bad. It was cold, hard, and chewy while I was expecting warm, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. However, the salad and main were decent so I'd give that a pass. The dessert (Chocolate Mousse Chantilly) was good but very sweet. I couldn't finish it. Overall, I wouldn't come back just for the food but it's a nice place to take family/friends who are visiting and it's worth it if you can make it for the Early Dinner Menu (4:30 PM & 5 PM I believe).

Yelp
What a treat to end the day at Niagara Falls. Service was great. Food was delicious and of course, the view with the slow rotation was on point! Absolutely recommend sunset time for dinner there!
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
Flat out, you're paying for the ambiance. The views and service are excellent. The food itself needs improvement. I ordered the steak and asked for it to be cooked, medium. It was not medium and a bit tough to cut. My gf had the same and hers was also not cooked properly. The sides they offer are bland and flavorless with zero effort in the presentation. We both had the broccoli, which was literally just rinsed off in water, heated and put onto your plate. Same thing with the potatoes. No flavor, no seasoning. Just plain. The saving grace was their renown cheesecake which was delicious and would recommend. All in all it's a good location to take a date or have a special occasion but at the prices I expected a little more from the food. Side note: They take pictures of you before entering restaurant that are for purchase on the way out. Be very careful to what they offer and what they charge you. They try to upsell you on things like a frame or digital copy that they say are included until it's time to pay. Very tourist trap, scammy feeling.

Yelp
I went with my dad on a weekday in the late fall, and while we did have reservations, I don't think we needed them at that time. The downstairs arcade area looks so worn down and borderline spooky/haunted from 1987, which gave me the feeling of ick. There were no stores open, which made me feel like back it's heyday, it was probably the spot. Don't let the downstairs area fool you though. The restaurant was everything and then some! The service was great from everyone from the elevator guy to our servers. My food was really good. The only thing I didn't like was that the bread wasn't hot when it came out- it would've been delicious if it was hot & fresh. The other qualm was there were lots of flies in the windows while we rotated around. They should do something to get rid of them, as there were like 2 on each window area, but they didn't bother us or our food. It was also a little warm. I would definitely return again. I really enjoyed it and the experience was phenomenal. And the top of the tower is included with the expensive meal. I would say it was worth it!

Yelp
This place gets 3 stars only for the uniqueness of the location and the view . Everything else was not good here . We went here for dinner at 5 pm.everything here is overpriced as you would imagine. I don't mind paying top dollar for good quality but nothing here is even close to good quality. I ordered the raspberry martini but unfortunately it tasted like cough syrup. I couldn't drink it and when I wanted to order a wine instead , the server gave me attitude and rolled her eyes. You could tell they were super uninterested in you and just wanted you to eat and get the hell out. I did not feel welcomed here at all. As far as the food , nothing amazing . We selected the early dinner 3 course menu , $55 each. I had the chicken cordon blue. It was ok. Salad was basic and the dessert was inedible. I don't think I will ever go back here. But it's worth visiting it once in your lifetime.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
I went to the buffet, and for a buffet I would rate it kind of low, but the view is what you're here for, and it is quite a view of the Falls. Even in the evening, the falls are lit up at night and the fireworks view is a very unique experience. The price is considering the view, but it also includes the buffet, which is pretty small. There is some salad, some cold cuts, some pasta dishes, a carving station, a dessert area, and that's pretty much it. Space is at a premium, and more seating is prioritized over food. Coffee was included but not soda which they accept American cash for, which seemed a little odd. For as small as our table was, they were not always that quick to clear the table and it was hard not to bump into the people behind us. For an experience, it's cool to do once, as you can also check out the 360 view outside. I wouldn't come back just for the food, but for a thing to do once, it was fun and unique.

Carol L.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place. It's hard to surpass the view. It's worth it just for the view. But the food is surprisingly good! We got an appetizer of cheesy garlic bread. Absolutely amazing. Three of us ended up getting the lamb for our entrée. Mine was overcooked, but still delicious. One of us ordered prime rib and it was perfectly cooked. The drinks were creative and delicious. We ended with their crème brûlée and the chocolate amaretto torte. Service was no-frills, but attentive enough.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
Don't knock it till you try it. Sometimes the touristy looking places have great meals! Took our son here for his birthday and the staff was AMAZING. Very attentive to our needs. Stuffed mushroom app was amazing and great for my wife as it was not loaded with breading. I had the filet and a side lobster tail and both were cooked to perfection. The wine list was great and plenty of mocktails for my son. They brought him an amazing cheesecake for his birthday to cap off the night. And how can you not come just for the view???
google avatar

Meg A.

Yelp
We made a 9:30 reservation at Skylon Tower and unfortunately the experience was underwhelming. Service was very slow, and the food itself was just mediocre. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri that wasn't good at all, and the steak (about $80) was overpriced, came with very little on the side, and wasn't even that tasty. The cheese bread was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, you're really paying for the view, not the food. Honestly, you'd be better off just visiting the observation deck to enjoy the beautiful view without the overpriced dining experience.
google avatar

Anthony O.

Yelp
I'm not gonna lie when we first went in the line was scary long. However they did a great job moving people through. The observation deck was great. The views were beautiful. It wasn't as crowded as it looked. Overall it was a great time
google avatar

Roger P.

Yelp
The main reason we went to dinner at Skylon was for the 360 degree view, and it was spectacular. We made our reservation so we could see the sunset and lighting of the falls. The view alone deserves 5+ stars. Same goes for the wait staff; they were friendly and attentive. Our dinners were okay (3 stars). My wife and I each ordered the filet mignon. These meals were fine but lacked the flavor and quality of other $70 steaks dishes I've had. Our kids also rated their spaghetti & meatballs as 3 stars. Although our wine, cocktails, and 3-star meals made for an expensive dinner, we were happy because we were captivated by the view.
google avatar

Johanna C.

Yelp
Love their lamb & fish... also their calamari. Wish that their bread is warm. Servers are very nice, ambiance is so nice with a very beautiful view. Food is not that pricey. Expect your photos to be taken before going up the tower & while dining
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
Food was very good, affordable with the exchange and quality. Wait staff fabulous too. Ambiance and views were out of this world - sunset and full moon. 20/10 Did not like the touristy nickel and diming- refills on diet soda $5 lol, $30 for a printed picture they already printed out lollll (bro I'm a millennial we just want an ig story portrait mode).

Yelp
When visiting Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, your trip is not complete without a visit to the Skylon Tower. The safe elevator pods take you to the top 2 dining experiences: Fine dining and also a generous Buffet. At the top there is an unbelievable viewing platform that is the best to see both falls and the surrounding lakes. Fine Dining service has an incredible menu and a staff that will make your dinner special. Also the dining room revolves so you experience 360 degree views in about one hour. So, when you think of Niagara Falls Ontario, be sure to add Skylon Tower to your day's agenda of activities.

Yelp
Mixed feelings over this one and I only did the observation deck and the souvenir shopping. It was part of the Over The Falls Tour and was something my mother said to skip having been here. The experience of the CN Tower observation deck is way better but at least they say what you are looking at which direction. It feels open with a fence over some of the views which intimidated my wife a lot and she could barely balance. Supposedly the restaurant is a buffet and definitely we could not do that. There is a small souvenir shop upstairs and downstairs and we honestly spent time around them and shopped a bit so my wife wasn't as scared of the open heights. I did enjoy seeing the mist from above but being more eye level with the falls is a better experience.

Yelp
We came here just for the view and a drink (or two). We went to the bar and were served by Kayla. We had a few different scotch and one of the best French Soups of all time! The view from here is definitely one of the best in town and we got a very friendly services so what's not to like?

Yelp
**Discrimination, Disability Disregard, Terrible Food & Rude Service - Skylon Tower Niagara Falls** We had an 8:30PM reservation and arrived 5 minutes early. From the start, the experience was terrible: 1. Check-In / Hostess - Instead of seating us, the host looked us up and down and told us to wait. Then, without reason, he said we'd have to wait until 9:30PM. I was with my 85-year-old grandmother in a wheelchair, my husband, and my mother-in-law. Not once did anyone show concern for her accessibility or comfort. My husband had to step in to remind them we had a reservation and asked if we could at least sit by the window. 2. Seating Refusal - There were plenty of empty window tables, but they refused to seat us there. We were left feeling excluded and unwelcome. Only after we placed an order totaling over $500 in food and drinks, they suddenly decided it was "acceptable" to move us to a window table. So the rules shifted once they got our money? 3. Server Interaction / "Minimum Order" Rule - When we first sat down, the server insisted there was a minimum order per person. We weren't that hungry and wanted to share appetizers and entrées, but we were told we couldn't. Meanwhile, a white table right in front of us shared one appetizer and meal with no problem. The difference in treatment was obvious. To make it worse, the server's tone with us was curt and dismissive, while they introduced themselves warmly by name at other tables. 4. Food Quality - The food itself was a disaster: * The salmon looked like Yoshinoya takeout covered in mystery sauce. * My sea bass was ruined with an overly sweet sticky sauce. * The $60 "seafood" pasta was 90% noodles with a few tiny scraps of seafood. * The wine was disgusting and when I politely sent it back, they actually tried to charge me for the returned glass. 5. Photographer Incident Earlier, I asked the photographer if we could sit by the window, and she told me seating was reserved for parties of six or more (we were five). But after they finally moved us to the window post-order, she suddenly came over and barked, "Do you want your photo now?" The inconsistency and tone were insulting. The entire evening was cold, unwelcoming, and discriminatory. From ignoring the fact that we had a disabled senior in a wheelchair, to enforcing rules selectively, to the dismissive demeanor, it was clear minorities are not treated the same here. Whether it was racism, elitism, or both, it left us angry. And let's be real: Skylon Tower doesn't sell food or hospitality. They sell a view. But even that isn't worth it. We stayed at the Hilton and enjoyed a far better view of the falls and fireworks from our room without the terrible food, rudeness, or the feeling of being treated like second-class guests. Despite all of this, we still tipped $100 on a $500 tab, in the hope that maybe just maybe they'll treat the next minority family or guest with a disability better than they treated us. This was the worst dining experience we've ever had in Niagara. **If you care about respect, accessibility, or just basic hospitality spend your money elsewhere.**

Yelp
Having been to Niagara Falls for years, we finally decided to try out the Skylon Tower. We made a reservation online for lunch in the revolving 360 dining room. When we arrived, we checked in at the ticket booth and were instructed to line up for the elevators. This was a long wait, on a Saturday for a long weekend. While waiting in line they took our photo which we were given a card if we wanted to check them later for purchasing. When we finally got to the elevator, the ride up allows you to see the falls. A short ride as the elevator has two stops (one for the restaurant and then the observation deck). Since we were dining in, we got complementary access to the observation deck after our lunch. We got our table and were seated immediately - surprisingly the restaurant was not packed. However, there was still a 90 minute seating limit we had to adhere to. We ordered the filet mignon, striploin and seafood medley. The sauce with the filet mignon was delicious! It was the best part of the dish and paired well with the roasted potatoes and broccoli. I also tried a non-alcoholic peach Bellini, which I found way too sweet and syrupy. I think the food we got tasted reasonable but definitely pricey which is what you would expect for a tourist attraction. Service was efficient as well but I feel like we were getting rushed to finish our meal despite that it wasn't very busy. We got our bill while we were enjoying our cappuccino still. The restaurant slowly turns 360 degrees so you can take photos of the falls, Clifton Hill, etc. Anyway, the view at the observation deck was good during a hot sunny day. We got to enjoy the view of the falls in the shade. I still think the best view is on the street since you can get closer and feel the mist. Would recommend trying the experience at least once but it is not a must-do in Niagara.

Yelp
The food was really good. Being in a tour group we were seated and waiters were attentive. My main issue was with the buffet organization. They had 2 salad bars and only one entree station that both lines were fighting over. The stations had little room to maneuver around. It was horrible with people reaching over you around you and acting rude because they couldn't get to the entree they wanted. The entrees I wanted had run out and when I asked staff if it would be out soon they looked at me and shrugged. Desserts were just ok.

Yelp
We came here to see the fire work show. We arrived around 9 and explored to top. Once we looked around we got our spot to see them. It was a great view. I would definitely come here to see them. It's also a nice view of the whole city. The city is lit. The view is beautiful on all ends and it's fun riding the fast elevator so high! All we did was watch the show and see the light show, but it's totally worth the money for seeing it from that angle. There are so many people on the ground and so much traffic so this was a nice place to relax.

Yelp
Came here friends before the concert stars. We took the early dinner $49. Variety of good food. Staff very friendly. Found a parking all the way to the end for $15. Observatory deck is free when you dine in.

Yelp
A very not good buffet with a great view. The buffet was pretty bad.. of the things I've tried: one of the worst prime ribs I've seen and tasted. Not even close to any medium rare cuts. The oriental noodles overwhelmingly tasted of sesame oil. The scallop and shrimp creole was tiny pieces and overcooked in a flavorless tomato sauce. The salmon on the raw bar area smelled and was slimy. The one redeeming quality was the dessert selection. For $59 CAD, I'd have expected a bit better quality. Quick mention that the Service was good.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible experience! Everything was 10/10. We had a reservation at 7 on a Saturday and got to see the sunset! The food was great, drinks were great and the dessert was fabulous! The staff was also very accommodating and helpful.

Yelp
The food reminded me of cruise food. We had prime rib and the salmon three course meal. The dessert was so blah.. it was some Oreo mousse. Only the bread and butter was tasty. The worst part was we were seated away from the windows and were not notified that we could've waited for a window seat instead. The bathrooms were so disgusting. There was toilet paper everywhere in the women's bathroom and then in the boys bathroom, they were all plugged up.

Yelp
I thought this was an overpriced tourist attraction at about $14 each. We spent about 15 minutes up there. Views were good, but I feel like we saw that same view so many times: from the hotel, the Sky wheel, etc. I much preferred the view at the base of the falls. The observation tower was crowded, despite it being early, and it was difficult to get pictures with all the people. Also, the cage prevented good photos. They crammed people on the elevator, so it was also difficult to enjoy the view during the quick ride. Try to get on last if you can so you'll be next to the door for the best view. They try to sell you photos when you come down for ridiculous prices. We also found that generic items in the gift shop (maple cookies, syrup, Etc) were cheaper for identical items elsewhere.

Yelp
The three stars are for the view. The food was so so at best. For the money they charge so so isn't good enough. I had a chicken Caesar. The bacon bits were like hard blobs of baco bits. They were disgusting. The chicken was dry with little flavor. My wife had marinated salmon. It was the texture of jerky. There were 7 people at our table. No one had food they would go back for. Again the view in this revolving restaurant was the reason it got three stars. But there are options with the same view and actual good food.

Yelp
I highly recommend making a dinner reservation at the Skylon tower when visiting Niagara Falls. The spinning restaurant rotates 360 every hour to give guests a panoramic view of the US and Canadian Niagara Falls and view of the city's skyline. Window seating is not guaranteed, however, the booth seating is slightly elevated so that you can view beyond those seated by the windows. What you arrive, you will need to check in at the ticket booth to confirm your reservation prior to heading over to the elevator area. You want to take the elevator that provides a view of the falls. Not sure which one, ask the elevator operator. It's a really quick ride up so have your camera ready. The reservation gives everyone in your party a free ride up the Skylon Tower. After your meal, you can take the elevator or stairs up two flights to the viewing deck. The deck is safe for children as it is fenced in. Also, you can hang around in the gift shop area if it is too chilly. There will be two keepsake photo opportunities. One on the lower level when you arrive and one while you dine in the restaurant and by the photography crew. I must say that the breathtaking view was worth every penny and the service was phenomenal. I wish I could say the same about the food and drinks. My tip for you is to check when the sun sets and book a reservation about 1-1.5 hour prior to sunset. This way, you get to view the sun setting as well as a night view of the falls. See my pictures!

Yelp
We had the buffet. For the price, we were expecting great food! A DEFINITE, NO GO for us!!! We will not be returning. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!! The food was not good. Prime rib was dry, options were limited and the rice was not as expected. Ambiance was lacking just because it was crowded and service could have been better. The observation deck was ok but I think you can get a way better, unobstructed view from the walkway

Yelp
So I visited Canada with my parents and son for spring break. I HAD to come this restaurant for the experience; a revolving restaurant around Niagara Falls, count me in! So the ambiance and service were A1, now the food.... Mine: the seafood pasta was definitely a 9/10, plenary of seafood and flavor was good My son (6): 7/10, they had lettuce and tomato on his burger when we said only cheese and ketchup. Also it was $3 for cheese My dad: the salmon 8/10 it was decent, and came with rice and broccoli My mom: the sea bass, 6/10 she asked for potatoes instead of rice but they still gave rice. They quickly brought potatoes but she doesn't eat rice so it was still an inconvenience The price was definitely pricing! Each adult entree was approximately $50 + $10 for parking + the tax & fees + no refills on Diet Coke and apple juice .....it definitely adds up. If you're on vacation and have a little ( a lot to spare) I definitely say you have to atleast try it. After dinner we went to the observation deck which was 10/10 for the views. Last but definitely not least, the elevator operator was so animated and made the "scary" ride up and down more enjoyable! He was great and took my sons mind off the fact that the elevator was outside. So thank you!

Yelp
You are paying for the ambiance, greeter was rude maybe because we were Americans not Canadian but I don't care how long you work there you treat your customers they way you want to be treated. Food was subpar, prime rib was there I I enjoyed it. The rest you can just forget. We got to see the fireworks for $58.00 Canadian it was well worth it.

Yelp
Nice lunch buffet, but not as advertised in the pictures! There were NO jumbo shrimp! Self- serve was fine... waiter came to table with hot coffee or tea and ice water... soft drinks including iced tea is extra. Can't beat the view of the falls!

Yelp
We reserved dinner here during our stay at the Falls. The views are beautiful and you get to see the falls in their entirety along with everything else surrounding it. The staff were very kind and helpful with picking options. I do wish there were more vegetarian options though as there wasn't much to choose from, but we decided on the vegetable medley and zucchini spirals, along with salmon for non veg. We ended the meal with the creme brûlée which was absolutely delicious. It's also nice that the observation deck is included with dinner reservation.

Yelp
We were hosting friends from BC who had never seen Niagara Falls before AND it was their wedding anniversary, so we agreed to join them for a big (and expensive) dinner out after a day of staring at the Falls. The location is absolutely fabulous: the restaurant revolves slowly and over the course of our meal, we saw the Falls twice. Absolutely beautiful, and the elevator rides up and down were cool too :) But it being a touristy area, my husband and did not expect the evening would go well food-wise and yup, we were disappointed. There were two waiters for our table but oddly, neither one was attentive. I was ordering wine by the glass and had to wait twice after my glass was empty; they also took away the wine menu after my first glass...stupid. The house red was the best of the 3 Ontario wines I had that night, so DO go for that at $10 for 5 ounces. I should have ordered the house white too, it's undoubtedly Ontario ...and very tasty. We all ordered appetizers. Mine did not arrive The happy couple had had a light lunch and were so hungry, so I asked them to please go ahead; my husband shared his mushroom caps with me. Eventually (by the time he had one cap left), I got one of the waiter's attention and he told me it wouldn't be long: my duck breast was "just in the fridge". In what felt like 10 minutes it arrived!, when everyone else at our table had finished their appy. My husband's mushroom caps were uncooked: some stuffing inside of raw mushroom caps. I learned from an expert who led a mushroom tour in the forest of Haliburton ON that mushrooms should always be cooked, not good for the tummy otherwise. Guess chef doesn't know that. My husband ordered a $60 tomahawk pork chop. Having heard of these on a MasterChef episode where a team of cooks had to grill these for some "VIPs" I knew that they were tricky to cook...easy to overcook. WHICH IS WHAT SKYLON DID TO MY HUSBAND'S chop. He told us it was barely acceptable; afterwards he told me that he would have sent it back if it hadn't been our guests' special evening. The other man in our group ordered filet mignon medium. It came very rare. He sent it back. It took at least ten minutes to show up again. Really??????...? Meanwhile, we were all eating away and he was sitting there, hungry. I asked one of the waiters if I could have a different sauce with the seafood pasta, other than tomato and cream and he said, SURE; there were other dishes on the menu w tomato sauce so, no problem, he would get me a simple tomato sauce. Guess what, they brought the tomato cream sauce! but fortunately it was tasty and unlike the last time I ate a cream sauce, I did not have an upset stomach. The seafood was perfectly cooked. Our guest w the filet didn't finish his cocktail. I did not ask why; he'd had the same cocktail earlier and elsewhere...perhaps this didn't measure up? Our dinner for two was $306 with tip. I had previously reconciled myself to a whopper bill...I only dine BIG when in places like New York or Melbourne or Vancouver or Quebec City or Bermuda and I know the food is going to be superb! I had 3 small glasses of wine, all Niagara; my husband had 2 beers, also Ontario. We both had appetizers and mains, then shared a very delicious torte. And of course, he left the two young waiters an okay tip. One of our friends had the large steak and enjoyed it a lot. Could not finish it and it being her anniversary, lol, we did not ask to take away the meat or...if my husband could eat it. He did not finish his pork chop. Surely in a resto like this they should know how to cook a pork chop for $60?? Next table over was a bunch of athletic men in t shirts, from the USA. MY GUESS IS THAT WITH SO MANY AMERICAN TOURISTS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR DOLLAR and so, a discount of 35-40% (my math's not good), most people are happy enough with food and service like this. Also, for others it's a special occasion so "why make a fuss?" But for $300....are you kidding? This is NOT fine dining. Probably 100 dinner guests in the place, why all the confusion, and waiting FOR the waiter...can't afford to hire enough waiters? After I finished my first glass of wine and had had to wait so so long for my $25 cold duck breast appetizer (the plate for which the waiter did not take away until he brought my main), I got a bit silly and put my empty wine glass on the side beside our table...so our rotation would take it away. ha ha ha I did not put the appetizer plate there but a little devil in me surely wanted to as well. There is parking in a lot right outside for $10
