The Abandoned Amusement Park Great American Road Trip

"The original Santa’s Village opened in 1955, six weeks before Disneyland, near the mountain resort of Lake Arrowhead. For years, it thrived as a year-round destination for families, with horse-drawn coach rides, a monorail, free-roaming reindeer, and tours of Santa’s house and workshop. Bankruptcy, a destructive 2003 wildfire, and its misguided use as a logging site all eventually contributed to its demise, and the property sat abandoned for years.  New owners took over in 2016 and added mountain biking trails to the 230-acre property. As locals themselves, they opted to keep the Christmas village layout when they realized how it triggered treasured childhood memories for many southern Californians. Now it is known as Sky Park at Santa’s Village – a one-of-a-kind business model that combines kids’ activities like pedal cars and mini-train rides with an outdoor adventure theme that includes ax-throwing, fly fishing, and ziplining.  Giant candy-cane street lamps and gingerbread houses line the main thoroughfare, and it’s not unusual to see cyclists changing a tire on astroturf beneath a giant Christmas tree as stroller-pushing parents stream by on their way to the Magic Tree bouldering room or the Silver Bells skating rink. Old amusement park rides from the park’s earlier days are scattered on either side of the bike trails, and there is a figure-eight hiking trail that runs through the park. Joyful shouts from exhilarated bikers can be heard  The food options reflect the park’s wide-ranging customer base, ranging from burgers, pit BBQ plates and craft brews to hot chocolate, ginger doodles and ice cream." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

This is a hidden gem in Lake Arrowhead. We had a blast visiting in the spring time. We took a hike, kids played games and enjoyed all the little rides, had lunch and wifey and I even enjoyed some adult beverages. Overall it was an excellent experience. I could only imagine how fun this is in the winter time.

Google
It was really cute, but not worth it unless you’re there to ride bikes, and have children. It’s very children focused. I could see kids from the ages of 4/5-20 having a blast here. There’s bike trails and rental, pedal powered go karts for the family. A sky bike you can ride around the park. Unfortunately we made it there around 4pm, and despite the park closing at 9pm, most of the shops in the park close at 4, including the zipline. So after spending $130 for my fiancé and myself to attend, and $50 for a BBQ platter. We both decided we wouldn’t return until we had children. It is a very cute little theme park though, and would be even better in the winter.

Google
For a review in terms of a bike park, the trails are good and accessible for all levels. The trails are highly maintained. Only problem, you have to pedal your way up. There's no lift and this place is more for e mountain bikes than analog bikes. The food fills you up A LOT so make sure to eat half and save half. Very fun 👍👌

Google
Super fun location with lots of activities for all the ages. Went about 4 years ago back when it was snowing and everything was beautiful. Went snow sledding and skating with Santa. We did all of the activities, so fun! You can’t beat the ticket price with everything that they have to offer. Axe throwing alone in some places is already $100 just for a few minutes. I went back on Sunday with my boyfriend and there wasn’t any snow, but it was still beautiful outside and fresh with plenty to do.

Google
Skylark was a blast. We had so much fun doing all the stuff. It was different than anything we had done before and it was great family time. I would highly recommend!

Our visit to Sky Park at Santa’s Village was absolutely magical! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the enchanting holiday atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a winter wonderland that captivated both kids and adults alike. Meeting Santa was truly a highlight of our trip. He was incredibly kind, patient, and brought so much joy to everyone he met. It felt like a dream to sit with him and share our wishes—such a sweet and memorable experience for our family. The ice skating rink was another standout! Gliding across the ice surrounded by twinkling lights and festive music was pure magic. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a beginner, it’s such a fun and heartwarming activity for everyone. We also want to give a huge shout-out to Emily, one of the amazing employees who made our visit extra special. Her warm and friendly demeanor truly stood out. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, and her kindness made the experience even more unforgettable. Sky Park at Santa’s Village is a must-visit destination for the holiday season. It’s the perfect place to make lasting memories with your loved ones, and we can’t wait to come back next year!

Google
It’s an absolute delight! From the moment you step in, you're transported into a whimsical world filled with holiday charm and fun activities. Whether you're visiting during the holiday season or any other time of year, the magic of this place truly shines. The park offers so many exciting activities, including axe throwing and BB gun shooting, which were absolute highlights of my visit! There’s also ziplining, archery, biking trails, cookie decorating, and even the chance to take pictures with Santa himself—it’s fun for all ages. Don’t forget to sign the waiver before entering to participate in the activities. The ticket price is $99, which I think is well worth it considering everything the park has to offer. And the parking is free, which is a nice bonus. The food was surprisingly good, with themed eateries offering tasty options, and the festive decorations throughout the park made the experience even more magical. I also loved the live entertainment and friendly, interactive characters who added so much to the atmosphere. SkyPark is a perfect destination for families, couples, or anyone looking for a day filled with fun, adventure, and holiday cheer. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!

Such a great place to ride and have fun. The grounds are well maintained with friendly staff. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Yelp
We loved the campground. Beautiful views once it cleared up. It was very dense fog and windy when we arrived. So instead of trying to brave cooking in wet conditions, we decided to go into town for dinner. FYI, we were on. Site #40. Directly under a tree. Lol although it was a very fun experience, the monster from the trees kept raining down on our trailer so it was a very loud night. Sounds delicious of multiple suction cups being pulled over and over and over. Not much to do on site. We did walk all around the Campsite. Wish there were trails we could walk too. Since it was windy we didn't unhook our trailer but luckily we had a second car so we were able to drive into town. The host was spectacular. I had read that we cod walk across to Santa's Village to the Pub but the host warned us we'd havr to pay $60 per person just to get in. She is the one who recommended going into the Arrowhead Village instead. The communal fire pits were awesome!!! We decided we want to come back during the summer, when we expect the weather to be more enjoyable even though we had a great experience We were there March 30th to April 1st. We were suppose to check out on the 2nd but we saw snow in the forecast and didn't have snow chains, so decided to. Some back a day early. We didn't want to get stuck in the mountain

Yelp
YES my husband and I were the only two adults at the park without children YES I was terrified the entire time on the bike skyrail and a boy no older than 12 made fun of me YES we drank all the malt liquor that the cafe had on hand and YES we had a blast coming here randomly in March NO lines, NO wait for food, WAY better than Disneyland imo
google avatar

Yelp
SkyPark at Santa's Village is for kids. But I wanted to come here just for nostalgia purposes. My family used to come to SkyPark every year, around Thanksgiving. We would go with my whole extended family too. It was always fun. As a kid, I had a blast. As an adult, it's pretty boring. lol Not much for adults to do. But if you have kids, this is a must! Admission is steep. Almost the price of Disneyland. Personally, I'd rather go to Disney. But to each their own I guess.

Yelp
We had a BLAST at Sky Park with people ranging the ages of 24-35. From the zip lining to archery to rock climbing to the food, overall 10/10 time. If you go, you must meet the employee Lex who was generous, kind, and a great fun with lots of experience. It's been two weeks and I'm still telling everyone about our time! Highly recommend going on a week day if possible because the lines were short and we were able to do whatever we wanted and then some. Additionally, the day was filled with mountain bikers for an event, and we still felt like we were the only ones there sometimes. Small tip, take the extra challenge at the rock wall and try going up the 3rd wall with the water spout... not an easy task! Overall, great staff, great time, and great place. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
If you grew up in SoCal you probably came here as a kid. After being closed for many years, it reopened with many new amenities. Don't just come for the holidays. They have year round activities. Live music, ice skating, mountain biking...ax throwing. Also they have a campground and even have some glamping airstreams you can rent. Don't get me wrong, the holidays are still magical for the little ones and the fresh gingerbread is delicious!!
google avatar

Jennie K.

Yelp
A lot of cute things for the kids to do. Some things have height limits so keep that in mind. There's a sign up to take photos with Santa and it gets full fast so I recommend to sign up first thing. The website also says you need to buy tickets in advance so keep that in mind. Don't forget to visit the Gingerbread House Bakery and Sweet Shoppe. They have the best baked goods and hot chocolate!
google avatar

Carley R.

Yelp
We went here, just two adults and had a fun time. We spent a couple hours walking around, shot archery, bought a couple drinks and took in the holiday vibes. It's a fun way to spend a couple hours around the holidays but a bit out of the way if you don't have children with you. This is definitely and understandably geared towards kids but we still had a good time!
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
It's one of our absolute favorite places! The mountain biking, the food, the activities, and the environment. It's such a clean and well taken care of place.
google avatar

Josephine G.

Yelp
We went here in March and it was not packed. This is a very nice place - it's not that big but it has lots of activities for children and adults. The adults enjoyed the zip lining, rides, archery, BB guns, and axe throwing. The children liked the rock climbing, playgrounds, book reading sessions and many more. Unlike Disneyland, they have good resto. I highly recommend this place. Check their website before you go because they close the place when there's too much snow

Yelp
Had a simply wonderful time with two families. There was something to do for everyone. The place was safe and friendly. We had an awesome mountain bike lessons from Eddie and Eric, two very fun loving professionals. Seemed like everyone on the mountain knew Eddie and loved him. Can't wait to get back again soon and try out the Airstream park...
google avatar

Yelp
We came here the week before Christmas. First, the decor is beautiful. There are so many photo ops and you can even meet Santa for no additional cost to your admission price. My two and four year olds loved everything we did. They loved the play areas, the characters they met (Arrow the wolf and Frosty the Snowman), and getting to sit with Santa. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful and so friendly. We ate at the bbq restaurant and the food was really good. My only complaint is we were there at 12:30 and they were already out of pork and chicken, leaving tri tip only. That felt a bit silly given it was lunchtime and they were out of two of their three meat options. We spent four hours at the SkyPark and had to drag our kids out because they had so much fun. While pricey, it is the only place like it in the Big Bear area.

Lisa S.

Yelp
We didn't anticipate going to sky park but on our way down the mountain decided to stop and check it out. We are so glad we did. The activities were fantastic and all the staff really friendly. We especially loved the fly fishing and the instructor. He was great, patient, enthusiastic and really pleasant. My young son caught his first fish with him. It was amazing, if you are in to mountain biking or outdoor activities this is a great stop to make.
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
I had heard of SkyPark for years but had no clue or concept of what it was for the longest time. I'm glad we went and decided to explore - it was super fun! I loved the rides and the shows, and my son (3 years old) had so much fun on the playground and with the toy trucks. Great experience and we will be back!
google avatar

Kerri J.

Yelp
Great place to take kids. A lot of outdoor activities. Staff are super nice. They have activities for all ages.

Yelp
This is such a wonderful place to go with your family! They have so many activities for all ages. They have inside art crafts along with many outdoor activities. We are going to make this a family tradition every year!!!

Cheryl L.

Yelp
My husband and I had not been to Santa's Village since we were little kids - and while were on vacation last year, we thought it would be fun to revisit this part of our childhood. Santa's Village certainly did not disappoint! Not only was the park nice and clean, and the buildings well-kept, but the whole general atmosphere was warm and inviting. The "Villagers" (staff members) were very warm and friendly, and made our visit even more comfortable. There was something for everyone there. For the younger kids, there was the Northwoods Express Train, which was really a (trackless) electric train around the perimeter of the forest. There were also rock-climbing walls, a slide, a playground and a mini-zipline. For the "older kids," there were pedal bikes, a zipline, and "Royal Games," including the Sharpshooters Gallery, Princess Evergreen's Archery Range and King Celwyn's Ax Challenge. If games aren't your thing, there were also some walking and bike trails through the backwoods. All ages can be entertained by the magic and puppet shows in the pavilion throughout the day. There are also some great shops and eateries inside the park. Even though it may be a bit pricey for some people, we still highly recommend it as a vacation stop for your family. It'll bring out the "kid" in all of you!

Samantha G.

Yelp
Found this place from the RV park across the street. So fun! Even had a magic show! We went for my son's birthday and spring break. Late march is was 40 degrees! Bring gloves and a hat!! Workers were super nice!

Yelp
Love SkyPark at Santa's Village! Have been up here now a few times and it's a great way to spend the day having fun, no matter what your age. They have so many fun activities like zip lining, rock climbing and bouldering, train rides, ax throwing, archery, hiking trails, mountain biking, and even panning for rocks! Seriously so many activities, both big and small and a great time spent outside. They have lots of food options too, and the bakery even had vegan and gluten free options for cookies, which was a pleasant surprise! Visiting SkyPark is always fun and if I lived locally, I think a pass would be such a fun thing to have. Would recommend if you're looking for a way to spend the day or half a day doing something fun and outside.
google avatar

Shan V.

Yelp
Our family had a wonderful time. Great family day. Restrooms are clean, lots to do. Delicious food. There is things to do for adults and kids of all ages.

Aurielle D.

Yelp
Highly recommend, all employees were super friendly. B-rail was fun, they have shows for little ones too. Def check the weather before going though, in case there's bad fog
google avatar

Yelp
We've been coming to SkyPark for many years, usually for Pumpkins in the Pines and around the holidays, so there typically isn't much snow yet. We just went this past weekend after a decent snowstorm and my goodness, it was an entire different level of fun! In addition to the regular fun things my kids love to do like ziplining, rock climbing and ice skating, they also had snowshoeing and a sledding hill. The whole park was so beautiful draped in snow, but the staff did a great job of clearing the sidewalks and paths so nothing was icy or slippery. We had our typical snacks and beverages at Pedal Pub after a fun snowshoe adventure. If you're a beer lover, they have a great selection of craft beer at Pedal Pub!
google avatar

Yelp
Visited Lake arrowhead for the first time with my family and ran into this really cool theme park At first, we were a bit hesitant, because it seemed very Christmas oriented, but it turned out to be way more than that We zip lined, got to paint, relax by the fire the kids got to do a ton of activities and they loved it! They have great discounts for Vets which was very nice All the staff we ran into were super nice and helpful Excellent customer service
google avatar

Kelsey G.

Yelp
I love SkyPark, Santa Village I have been visiting for the last five years. The staff is always very friendly and kind and there's always a lot to do there. I usually visit during Christmas time which is the most popular time but they have great things to offer all year long, including hiking trails And things for the whole family to I couldn't recommend Village any more. Then I do I love Santa Village.

Yelp
It's been awhile! Last time I was here my girls were 3 & 7 yrs old. They are in their 30's and 40's now. The girls along with my GRANDKID'S (2 1/2 & 6 yrs old) this time, and I visited (Dec 2022) finally after we had mentioned it years ago that we should visit. The day started off with beautiful blue skies to enjoy the park! My daughter made the reservations for the park a couple of weeks prior to our visit and when she said she visited the website again it was already booked for the weekend. Reservations are also needed for the Cookies and tea party with Mrs. Claus and picture with Santa. The ice skating (outdoor rink) is included with your ticket purchase. My grandson enjoyed ice skating for the first time with his mommy. Note: There are space heaters spread out in the restaurant area as well as the ice skating area, but not all were working . So, if you see a table empty near an outdoor heater stand you'll realize why. The littles didn't let the cold weather deter them from having fun, thank goodness! It was great to see them enjoy some of the things that I could remember, that their mom and aunt played on. Don't forget to visit the Gingerbread House! My girls enjoyed the cinnamon rolls, my favorite was the molasses cookie! The hot apple cider is delish too! Be prepared to wait in a long line, most of the waiting will be outdoors. We were running on fumes towards the end and could sense the kids were too so we were heading out when they announced the tree lighting was going to happen in 10 mins. We managed to muster up some extra energy for that event. The playground helped us managed the kids focus for the 10 min while waiting. Perfect way to finish our visit at Santa's Village with a tree lighting... as the storm rolls in (it wasn't titled a storm in this area, but we titled it so). It snowed the next day, which we missed by a few hours, as we already headed down the mountain for home. We would like to return when the kiddos are a little older, looking forward to it and hopefully next year!

Mr.Watermelon S.

Yelp
I'm so happy this has open back up. I was going here as a kid. I have so many memories here. I love Christmas so much. To go here all year long is amazing. It's like Christmas all year long. My kind of place to be.

Bandido D.

Yelp
This place was awesome. 1st time there. Music throughout park was energetic. The staff were very helpful and upbeat. Been to theme parks up and down the west coast. This place by far was 2nd to none. Go during the week. Lots to do. Bring your mountain bike. Kids will leave happy and tired. Food prices are good too. Not a huge park. You can do everything in one day. There's archery, bb gun range, zip lines, playgrounds for Littles, magic shows throughout the day, peddle quads (parents can ride them too) and more.

Pamela D.

Yelp
My son and I have a season pass for Santa's Village and without a doubt it is our favorite place on the mountain. There is a special kind of magic there that is more impressive to me, than even places like Disneyland. And that specialness exists because of the cast of Santa's Village CHARACTERS! The King, Princess Evergreen, Freckles the Elf and Mrs. Claus are our favorites. My son literally starts searching, the moment we step through the door, to find one of those folks. They remember his name! And the last time we were there he actually asked me if they could come over to our house! They are so very special and make Santa's Village what it is. The attractions are fun...but for us it is truly the character experience that keeps us coming back. From story time to the puppet show and magician. We cannot leave the park until we engage with all the shows. Thank you for creating such a magical place for our children. It makes the horrors of the world fade away, for at least a bit of time.
google avatar

Nick A.

Yelp
Waiver process is terrible. Computers out front keep losing connection. The counter agent was not much smoother. Complete money grab. Ice skates are terrible quality making it not fun for anyone. If ice skating is the main reason for coming here you can skip it. Better for much younger kids.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Complete waste of money. Definitely taking advantage of parents wanting to post pictures of their kids on social media while paying with their kidneys.
google avatar

Becky D.

Yelp
For $90 per adult I would not recommend this place. We came on a Sunday and were looking forward to doing the zip line and of course it was closed for the whole day. Also the B-Rail ride you have to be 5 feet and above so the kids couldn't ride it, another disappointment. The practice bike trail inside is only for toddlers/smaller children. felt like we were just at a regular playground and could have just gone to big bear village for free. Would not recommend
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
For the life of me, as a mountain local and a life long SoCal resident, I cannot imagine why anyone would pay to come here. For $90 per person I would highly recommend skipping this place and going to Knotts Merry Farm instead. MUCH better experience for your money IMHO. There's just not much to do here, especially if you are under 12 and if you are, the things they do have you could find for free at any of the wonderful parks all over the Rim. We're talking slides, swings and mini ziplines, which can be found just down the 173 at McCay park. Now, they charge for parking ($15), which they never did before, the food is more expensive and worse and the staff just doesn't seem to give an F. The toddler cars next to the ice skating rink, they don't even bother to staff any more...it's injure your child at your own risk and a free for all. The random mall train isn't even running anymore and the only new attraction here you need to be 5' tall for. Isn't this place for families with kids? Lots of disappointed kids who didn't get to ride this ride and adults who had to console them instead of having fun and making memories. All in all, the ONLY reason to ever come here is to see Santa (looks preety authentic), and perhaps ice skate. Can't you do that at the mall?!?! Is that worth $400 just to walk through the front door? Not for me! You'll find me happily eating my milk and cookies with Santa, riding roller coasters, making happy memories with my kids and getting "snowed" on at Knotts. Food and prices are sooooo much better, too.

Yelp
Wow expensive $80 to get in and then pay for all the attractions. Save your time and money and go to Disneyland.

Yelp
EXTREMELY overpriced for what it is. It has the ability to be an awesome place, there are some nice places to take holiday photos of the kids but really not much to do at all! The sweet shop is very disappointing. Has the ability to be great but is so underwhelming. The food everywhere is pretty nasty. The worst part about it was that my husband got violently ill later that night after we left; he ate at the BBQ spot. Spent all night vomiting, it was absolutely terrible. All the signs of food poisoning. They do have a bar that serves alcohol which made my visit better at least. We're never going back.

Yelp
This is a great area to visit for the Christmas holidays! Tons of little cottages, kid's activities, dressed up characters and shows! The kids were fully entertained and had a good time. There are plenty of food options for adults and kids. The cost for admission is a little steep but not many other options on the mountain. The cost of food is very high as well. Overall, I would recommend if you need something to do while on break.

Yelp
We frequently enjoy staying at their RV park while I ride my mountain bike on their trails. I've been curious about riding an electric bike and decided to rent. Got to talking to a great guy who was very helpful in answering questions I had about buying one of their used rentals. With my annual pass they offer ten percent off the price, another year pass and lifetime maintenance on the bike I buy. Dustin the manager, a really nice and genuine individual, spent some time answering my questions, I had many. I decided to have them order and build me a new Santa Cruz Heckler electric bike. With ten percent off the price, annual pass and lifetime maintenance I can't go wrong. I look forward to contacting Dustin with my order.

Yelp
SkyPark is simply amazing. From kids to adults, SkyPark has everything to make your time very enjoyable. From kids shows, and playgrounds, to kids being able to hop on bikes including e-bikes. Now for the bike park that sits above the main plaza. All of the trails start from a single area that's just about a 20 minute climb on the bike and not a very punchy climb. On the way up, there are some skinnies, and teeter totters to ride which I finally accomplished this time around. By far, Thursdays are the best days because the park is so empty so I was able to session a lot of trails that I wouldn't normally ride. There are a mix of green, blue, black diamond, and double black diamond trails which I this time around rode them all. Arrow is by far my favorite and Comet is a trail I aspire to complete with ease in the next few years. It was well above my skill level this time around and quite frankly frightening in a particular area. One thing to note, there are walking/hiking trails as well. SkyPark also has a bike shop that will fix most issues and will rent bikes including e-bikes. If I could give SkyPark a 10, I would. I can't wait to go back hopefully in September.

Yelp
Im sad to give a poor review considering i hear and see good things about this place. We went here on our family trip during the snow and because of the abundance of snow that fell they closed the park for 2 days. Totally understandable, so we rescheduled it as soon as they reopened. We came when they opened the gates, there was still so much snow that some attractions were opened yet, more than half of the park was not open. When we asked how long before they clear the snow, they said about an hour. OK, ill wait an hour and check out other things, unfortunately it wasn't ready until almost closing time! For other activities that were open, some didn't even have an attendant to help us with it (indoor rock climbing to be exact). So we had free range in the facility to potentially get hurt, and no one ever showed up even hours after... completely ridiculous. To add to that, the food is horrible, but you cant expect much from a touristy spot anyway LOL. They wouldn't offer any discount or refund for this horrible waste of time and money. With all the activities this place has to offer, we were only able to do on 4 things...if that.. because it was closed, no one around to help, or still being plowed for snow. They really shouldn't have re-opened the park if they couldn't service all this people and kids.

Yelp
I took my small grandkids and teenager grand kids to SkyPark this summer and we go every year a few times. They love the special attractions unique to SkyPark. In October we love the Phantom Forest -- spooky, artistic and eerie. Our main reason for SkyPark year round is the Wacko magic show. That's the first place the kids run when we get there. We go back multiple times for at least two shows in a visit. We're going back for the holiday season and will see Wacko again. The shows vary each time we go. His magic is unique and his tricks are appealing to kids and parents. We took my own mom and she loved the show. It's our tradition and I do live in the mountain. We love SkyPark. Don't change a thing!! The park is walkable and on Friday nights in the summer there are concerts. Pretty cool stuff. The Line Fire was an inconvenience to say the least and we haven't been in a couple months. Hoping our year pass is extended. We can't wait to come back in December. See you soon Santa and Wacko!! See y'a'll soon!!! Pat

Yelp
We love Skypark because of Wacko the magician and return over and over! He Is not only so experienced and skillful, he's an absolute joy for all our children. We always come to see him and enjoy all his the magical wonders! We loved his new fall show with all his new tricks. The trails and other areas are great for the kids to run around. However, Wacko is by far our favorite! Great pick to the management!

Yelp
Great place to take your family! So much to do anytime of year. There was so much to do, great food, and everyone was super friendly. It's like a little amusement park.

Yelp
It's a fun bike park with lots of unique wood features and lots of jumps. I missed a whole jump line that I will have to go back and ride another time. Kids and myself all really liked upper sleigh ride and upper and lower arrow. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy jumps and flow trails.

Yelp
First time here mountain biking. Rented an e-bike and it was in good condition. The price of admission is very steep. Definitely not worth $70. Trails are well kept although a little mundane and dusty. I'd consider coming back but there's better options out there for less money.

Yelp
It was my first time visiting Santa's Village and it was a lovely experience. I went during the week so it wasn't crowded at all. They have so much for everyone which includes an ice-skating rink, small sharp shooting range, archery, zip lining, cookie decorating, train ride, bike tracks and a playground. Don't forget to schedule your appt to take pictures with Santa. His little cottage is decorated so beautiful inside, both kids and adults will he in awe. They have restaurants and a bakery there. You could literally spend the whole day, although I could see if getting really busy on the weekends. Also, when you need to get warm, they have firepits by the restaurant as well as by the ice skating rink. I found it so peaceful to sit at the fire pit amongst the pines. I highly recommend a visit or even yearly tradition. Yes, it's a bit of a drive but it's so worth it. The view at night of the city on your way back down the mountain is worth the drive itself.

Yelp
Expensive for Day Passes. Tunes in the Trees concerts on Friday are fun BUT if you want to try to get a seat, be there at least one hour before the show start because people hold as many as 10 seats for people who haven't even showed up yet which sucks and there is no staff controlling anything.

Yelp
Food was bad when we went on a Friday nite . Music was good .I'll eat somewhere else next time first before we go there. I was sick for 3 days

Yelp
I'm very disappointed. The initial concept was to re-create this magical place in the mountains. What it has become is an outrageously expensive play ground for the rich bicycle crowd. I'm local and have friends visiting. We wanted to ice skate a couple of hours and have a hot toddy. Our plan was midweek while kids are still in school. $80 per adult plus another $10 for parking!!??! I understand the park offers a lot of attractions but it clearly did not meet the goal of being a magical place for all. Very disappointed local.

Yelp
"Worn pedals on rental bike, manager refused to replace, claiming they're new. Confrontational response. Unsafe equipment, considering alternatives."

Yelp
Amazing day of fun and worth every penny! Three of us (ages 53, 51, & 12) spent a Saturday in January 2025. Property review: It is impeccably maintained! Bathrooms are spotless, every building is perfect, every decoration in place, every lightbulb on the string of lights in working order and perfectly aligned! The buildings are ADORABLE and so well-themed it's like being transported to the North Pole. Here's a breakdown of what we did & tips: - Arrived at 10am - We pre-purchased parking and tickets online. I believe you save $5 on parking by doing this. - Signed up for the Zipline because reservations can fill up. We got an 11:15am spot. - Climbing Tower: It has different levels of difficulty and the guide will walk you through it all. They even have climbing shoes you can borrow if your shoes are too bulky to grip easily. The repel down is smooth, easy, and fun. - Axe Throwing: Armand taught us everything we needed to know and was so nice and fun! We were able to do this for as long as we wanted since we were there early and basically had the park to ourselves! - Zipline: If you've never been zip lining, this is a great opportunity to do it for free! If you have been zip lining, you'll still enjoy it and think it's fun... Especially the repel drop at the end. Strict max weight limit of 250lbs. - B-Rail Bikes: these are bikes that are 45 feet above the park and you pedal to move on a rail that is above you. They harness you in and you take off for a bike ride with the view of the park below you. It is fun, gives you good views, and a little bit of a workout. - Wacko's Magic Show: I expected this to be a cheesy magic show that only fool the youngest of kids, but Wacko is amazing! I'm still wondering how he made a couple of the tricks happen... But magicians never tell so I may never know. Wacko is a must see! - Pedal Pub & St. Nick's Patio & Grill: As someone with a season pass to Disneyland, I expected the food to be expensive and just OK. The food here was very well priced & absolutely amazing! The Kringle Club Sandwich ($18) is HUGE! There's so much meat packed in it. You can barely get your mouth around it! (That's what she said - lol!) This is a meal that could easily feed two people. Chicken Tacos with avocado ($16) was packed with flavor! Kids cheese pizza ($14) was so fresh & delicious. At 10" the three of us split it. It's a really big pizza for one child. Kids chicken fingers ($14) with fruit came with three big strips of moist chicken, 2 slices of honeydew, 2 slices of cantaloupe, 3 slices of watermelon, and 2 slices of pineapple! We walked in so hungry, but with such big portions, we left with a to-go box with 1/2 a sandwich and 2 chicken tacos. Great value! - Ice Skating: What fun! Going ice-skating on your own can be really expensive, this is a free way to ice skate and they give you better skates (more like sturdy hockey skates) than I normally get from a rink. This 51 year old mom and her 12 year old daughter had a blast! - Shopping: After all this physical adventure, we took some time to just browse around the adorable shops. Lots of darling things for sale and each shop has his own vibe. All of the employees throughout the park were exceptionally nice and welcoming all day long, this includes the employees in the shops. - Mining: we wandered into the Mining Company shop and bought a bag of dirt ($7.50) that you can take outside and use a screen and water to sift through. You will find a handful of gems in each bag. We liked it so much we bought a second bag! - Arrow's Adventure Bikes: Low profile bikes you can ride around a cute little course. Quickly hopped in and rode for a couple of laps. - Train ride: Before we left, we hopped on the little train and did a little loop. It was sweet and younger kids would love it. - Overall: Great value & fun for all! This is not just a park for kids, if you're an adult willing to be active, this park is a blast!
