SkyPark at Santa's Village is a theme park located near Lake Arrowhead and is best known for (1) mountain biking trails and (2) Santa's Village. This site was used to be known as Santa's Village amusement park from 1955 until 1998. Then the site was reopened as SkyPark at Santa's Village in December 2016. The amusement park operates year-round and it gets especially festive during December holiday seasons.
[Drive to Skypark]: I checked the Caltran website for road conditions and the road condition for California State Route (SR) 19 was clear. No snow in early December of 2025 and snow tire chains were not needed. Expect about 20 miles of the Initial D mountain road entering via Arrowhead Springs (SR 19), but this is a popular route so the road was well-maintained and was very easy to navigate.
[Parking]: There will not a parking attendant. In order for ticket holders to get into the park, they must ALSO purchase a parking ticket. Basically if visitors have no plan to get into the park, then they can actually park at the parking lot for free. I had my parking ticket QR code ready and had it scanned at the main park entrance.
[Waivers]: All visitors must sign waivers before getting into the village and visitors can sign them at the two kiosks near the entrance or scan the QR code via the smartphone (I had T-Mobile and still had one bar signal).
[Set-up]: The theme park is separated into a bike park & Santa's Village. Within the village there are various activities and here are some of activities our party did and did not do:
*** Activities done ***
+ Monorail bike: If you have a fear of height, then you probably don't want to do this activity as I had to close my eyes 50% of the time during my ride. Reservation was not needed and our party waited about 20 minutes.
+ Gingerbread House Bakery: Our party had apple cider, Earl Grey tea, and molasses cookie. Cookie tasted too sweet for me.
+ Archery range / sharpshooter aka bb guns / axe throwing: Unlimited attempts as long as there's no waiting line & you are willing to go back in line again. An excellent opportunity to see whether you actually like these outdoor activities before making a full commitment to do them again separately in future.
+ Train ride (a tour through Meadowlands): A pretty boring ride - perfect for a 5-year old.
+ Pedal kart track: 3 laps only, but it was pretty fun.
*** Activities not done ***
+ Zip lining: First-come, first-served & reservation at the park only. There was a standby line with no line, but our party decided not to wait to prioritize other activities.
+ Santa's Toy Test Track: Maximum 100 lbs.
+ Santa's Village Mining Co: Additional fee required.
+ Cookie decoration: $7 & ends 30 minutes before park closure.
+ Rock climbing: Equipment is provided.
+ Reindeer adoption: $25 per reindeer = watching a 7-minute clip + receiving a certificate + choosing a reindeer with a name and a collar.
+ Picture with Santa: Additional fee for Breakfast with Santa ($69 / adult) or Tea with Mrs. Claus ($40 / adult online price).
+ Ice skating: Skate rentals are included with your Day Pass (socks are required).
+ Bike lesson: Online ticket purchased required. One-hour lesson = $95.00 per adult for individuals who have never ridden a bike. 1.5-hour small group lesson = $65 per adult for individuals who who are new to mountain biking, but can ride flat roads or trails.
+ Shows for kids: Wacko the Magician, Kids Imagine Nation, etc - 1st show starts at 12 PM and last show ends at 4 PM.
[Annual pass]: Right before leaving there's a sign stating "upgrade to an annual pass" for $199 per adult (no blackout dates, free general parking, discounts on food & retail, hiking/biking trails, rides & attractions, and access to shopping & dining).
[Duration]: Our party entered at 2:15 PM and left at 4:45 PM (2.5-hour), but we did not do zip lining, ice skating, and picture with Santa. Plan to stay here for 4 hours for anyone who want to try majority of main activities including zip lining and ice skating. Add another 1-2 hours for anyone who want to do a bike lesson or experience the bike park via bike rentals.
[Conclusion]: Definitely agree with the general sentiment that visitors get the most out of this amusement park if they have kids above age 4. This is still a good destination for adult visitors as you can do multiple rounds of archery range / sharpshooter aka bb guns / axe throwing (sort of like a nice try out). For $90 I think it is a fair price as long as visitors get to do most of outdoor activities this park has to offer. This is not the place I would come annually, but could see myself visit here every 5 to 10 years.
P.S. - There's a very popular pizza place called Loueddie's Pizza located less than a mile away from the village.
