Skyridge Inn is a very nice place to stay near Capitol Reef National Park. It's an Inn rather than another nondescript chain hotel which was a nice change. I gave a 5 overall rating as Shawn - the owner - was really nice (he also runs Capitol Reef outfitters which I'll write a separate review for). Even though we had made a reservation for a self-drive, paid ATV tour, when I noticed that we were supposed to get a complimentary tour with our stay, Shawn honored it (refunded our paid tour) and took us on a wild, fun, beautiful sunset ride into the mesa above Capitol Reef. It was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. The room we were in - the Cedar - was I think one of their smallest rooms (probably the only one available when I booked) and was fine. Breakfast was very good with really crispy bacon, fresh fruit, eggs or french toast. It's a 'hands-free' check in and scheduling process for breakfast and hot tub usage, which was fine too. We were in our room a little late the first day and asked housekeeping to come back in 15 minutes to do what he needed to do, but he never did. But otherwise a perfectly nice owner operated place to stay!! And their two cats on the grounds were adorable!!!

Our family of five just got back from staying at Skyridge Inn and it worked out great for us! The location was super, the Town of Torrey was charming and the views were beautiful. We had the entire top floor which included (1) king size bed, (2) queen size beds, (1) single bed, and full bathroom. It was a bit warm and without window coverings we were woken up quite early when the sun rose. Fine for us but our teenagers were a bit inconvenienced (their problem). Breakfast was perfect for us all three mornings - plenty of homemade, fresh food - a great way to start the day. It was a bit hectic when we arrived with tours finishing up and other guests returning to the property. We never received a formal introduction so we felt like we were winging it a bit. Fortunately, we figured out the breakfast system and how things kind of worked without much stress. Shawn, the host, is knowledgeable about the area and is very easy to talk to. He shared a fun off-the beaten-path canyon hike in Capital Reef that we enjoyed. He offered guidance on how to make the most of our time, which worked out great. He also runs Capital Reef Outfitters, through which we went fishing and on ATVs. Both experiences were great. I'll review on that site. We would definitely stay at this property again! *We didn't take pictures of the property

The room was perfect and the Inn comfortable and convenient to Capital Reef National Park. You could relax in the hot tub with a view of the park. Shawn was very friendly and helpful - gave great advice on hikes and local restaurants. The breakfast was wonderful. We definitely recommend and will be back again!

Great experience for my wife and I.|Freshly painted room with a deck, expansive views of the mountains in the distance.|Breakfasts were worth a 5 star rating on their own.|Extremely friendly staff with guides available for any adventure you can think of.

Finding the entrance to this location is nearly impossible while traveling west at night. Hopefully this screenshot helps some of you! A map with markings from the hotel prior our visit would have been helpful. Lit up signs on the road visible from both directions of traffic would remove a lot of unnecessary stress and phone calls. It's a beautiful little place, but unfortunately we were uncomfortable. Regulating your own room temperature is not permitted. The ceiling fans did not work and some wall switches were not functional. We couldn't get comfortable in the stagnant, warm air. There were no screens on the windows, so we were not allowed to keep them open. There were many rules to follow for our stay posted on signs throughout the suite which included not to change settings on the AC/heating units or to open the windows if lights are on. We also would have truly enjoyed breakfast, but they didn't accommodate everyone, specifically those with diet restrictions. Some non-dairy milk and plant-based options would have been nice. This location has potential to be absolutely amazing, just be ready for a different type of stay.

This is more a guest house/B&B than hotel. Location is amazing and views are wonderful especially at sunrise. The hot tub outside is a nice extra.|Breakfast was delicious and individually made||The room was very nice but the double bed was a bit small by US standards. There were far too many bright light sources in the room at night. A common complaint but particularly poor here.||Staff and the host were very friendly and helpful. Great recommendations on where to visit. Thank you for suggesting Goblin State Park - amazing.

We were really impressed with the standard of accommodation at Skyridge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. |The property itself is in an enviable tranquil setting on a ridge overlooking the red rocks of Capitol.|Our Juniper suite was beautiful and clean and we spent hours on the balcony relaxing and taking in those magnificent skies and stars and the stunning sunrise the following morning.|Breakfast was a cut above too. Freshly made, tasty and ample in portion.|Communication prior to arrival was good with clear directions and instructions for checking in.|Shawn and his team were professional, helpful and friendly. The considerable recent investment in the property has paid dividends. |We can thoroughly recommend a stay at Skyridge and judge it to be well priced.

We had a lovely stay at the Skyridge Inn. Room was large and clean, the location on the edge of town had a beautiful view, and the breakfast was great. Shawn, the proprietor, made us feel welcome and made sure all our questions were answered. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is a micro hotel with astonishing views & delicious breakfasts included. The new proprietor is Shawn Saunders who expanded and renovated the place beautifully about 2021. He seems very busy arranging for ATV/UTV rides and fly-fishing trips so we never saw him; his daughter was very helpful with checking us in and explaining everything. We stayed just one night in the Chamisa room, that's a huge third-floor suite with a fine view of the sunrise - actually a required view since there are no shades on that enormous window lol. The bathroom is just across the hall. Comfortable bed, good strong A/C, everything was great. Hotel staff cooked us breakfast right on the dot of 7:30am! Torrey is a tiny town with a lot of character, there's good coffee, good food and very good hiking not that far away. I don't recommend walking there after dark, there's just no safe path. You can ignore the old review comments about Irene and Kim, also the Yelp business description. They sold the business to Shawn and are no longer active here. If you don't mind the cost, I recommend a sunset tour in a utility terrain vehicle ("side-by-side" aka UTV). Adam took us up top a nearby rock formation that let us see all of Torrey, and gave us quick geology & history lessons while we were up there, it was a great time. Finding the Skyridge's entrance dirt road can be a struggle, and they appropriately warn guests that your phone's map will probably fail on the listed address. For what it's worth, this address took me right to the spot, your mileage will vary: "714 SR-24 Teasdale, UT 84773"

Yelp
Stayed for a second time. This trip was even better! The inn has been renovated and it's beautiful. I grew up fly fishing with my dad, so I loved the added fishing shop and tours offered. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves...so quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was fantastic. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Amazing star gazing. Breakfast was still delicious, great coffee!! Host was extremely accommodating and helpful! This is the place to stay in Torrey!

Yelp
We spent two nights at the Skyridge Inn and it was the perfect way to start our Utah hiking vacation. The location and the staff are wonderful. It was nice to sit out on the back porch after a hard day of hiking and enjoy the peaceful serenity as you watch the sun go down.

Yelp
Skyridge Inn is a LOVELY bed and breakfast in Torrey, Utah. Our family of 4 shared the Tumbleweed room, which was spacious, immaculate and had a large bathroom. It felt a little cold with a contactless check-in, but I think that this is a standard these days. Fortunately, breakfast (7 and 7:30 seatings) was in person and felt just like a B&B. For our visit, we enjoyed cereals and fruits followed by fantastic French toast (even my fresh made gluten free version), fluffy scrambled eggs and crisp bacon. This place is a great deal - super comfortable bed, great bathroom and fantastic breakfast. I would definitely come again (and hope too).

Yelp
Skyridge was recommended to us by a colleague, and it did not disappoint! Excellent sunrise and sunset views from room balcony. Room was gorgeous - excellent update/remodel they did. Service was too notch. We ended up enjoying an incredible private UTV tour (through their other business, Capitol Reef Outfitters) to celebrate our honeymoon - an unexpected treat that made the trip go from great to amazing!

Yelp
The Skyridge Inn was a comfortable and quiet space; I stayed with a party of 3 in the Tumbleweed room, and the room was very clean and large; you could see the sunset from the patio attached to the room. The complimentary breakfast was also amazing, see photos below. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying at Capitol Reef

Yelp
Very nice inn. We stayed in the Juniper room which was nicely decorated. Loved the private balcony! The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, could use a new mattress. Our biggest complaint was there wasn't a shower. The room description said the garden tub had a hand held shower, but we could see where it had been removed. We wanted to get any early start so we didn't stay for breakfast since it wasn't served until 8:00. However, we went right across the road to the Broken Spur & when we said we'd stayed at Sky Ridge they let us eat for free ( both properties are owned by the same people)

Yelp
Gorgeous stunning views day and night. Warm, welcoming, hospitable, everything you'd want in a B&B. We had the top floor so we had breathtaking views in both directions. Personally we liked the hot tub which was welcome after a lot of hiking. We had to skeedaddle before dawn so we can't comment on breakfast. But the rooms are spacious and clean and comfy. Great job y'all!

Yelp
A beautiful spot, the first b&b as you head into Torrey from Capitol Reef Nat'l Park. The b&b rooms were great- we were a group that took all 6, so I checked them all out. The tumbleweed is on the main floor and has a small patio out the back with a king bed and two twins. The sagebrush is on the 2nd floor, king bed, private deck with adironack chairs and a small hot tub. It is a great place to stay for the views and the accomodations. I agree with the previous poster about the hospitality. I continue to be amazed by people who run businesses who don't seem to enjoy interacting with people. I think it is a lack of confidence and not knowing how to have a basic conversation. By the end of the weekend, we were at least able to get some conversation going, but man, it took a lot of work. The other thing that I am amazed at is the inability of many to think outside the box. We were a big group that needed an early breakfast one day and would have liked a late breakfast the next. It seemed like we asked for the moon. I worked in a small inn and so I know how it is to get the rooms cleaned and turned for the next guests (hopefully) arriving, however if you provide good options and great customer service, this place could be 5 stars. It's not... it's 3. But far and away beats the idea of the Best Western.... so check it out. But don't count on the hosts for conversation.

Yelp
Great place!! Amazing view from the juniper room and other 2nd floor rooms. Clean, not the softest pillows. Well kept. Good breakfast. But it's really quiet at night so if your wife is a screamer you will both Def get some mean mugs at breakfast!! Haha

Yelp
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. Kim couldn't have been nicer and always made sure that we were satisfied with the inn and that we knew of the best places to visit, dine, and see in the surrounding area. Irina's breakfasts were excellent and came in large portions, which was a perfect way to energize before a few days of long hikes. The next time we're in town, we will definitely return to the large comfortable beds and lovely hot showers, as well as the peaceful end of day lounging on the front porch

Yelp
Unlike other reviewers we found the owners very friendly. Kim offered us free tickets to a concert in Teasdale, and they were very accommodating with my mother in law who loves to talk about China. They were also complementary to and friendly with my 13 yr old son. The rooms are spacious, most all have great views of Capitol Reef, and the property is very peaceful. The hot tub temperature is not hot enough though. Overall, highly recommended and the best place to stay in Torrey.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here last month and had a phenomenal time. The owners, Kim and Irene, are very hospitable. The location is ideal- on the edge of Torrey and about 10 minutes from the Capitol Reef National Park visitor center. Breakfasts were delicious, the hot tub was great, and the room was incredibly comfortable. Kim and Irene have spared no expense in making this a memorable and rewarding getaway.

Yelp
The owners bought this b&b last summer. You can tell they never went to hospitality school. She was never engaging and it was like pulling hens teeth to get information from her. At breakfast, she barely said good morning and spent all of her time in the kitchen socializing with her help in the kitchen. I speak Spanish so I knew it was pleasure talking not work related. Even the other guests commented on the lack of hospitality. Only one bar of soap was in the bath room not one for both the shower and sink. Nothing was replaced. We had coffee in our room one morning and the cream and sugar was not replenished. The information on the website is not accurate. They used to have late afternoon hors d'ouevres, etc. but not any longer. We were actually looking forward to it after a long day of hiking. There are other great b&b's in the area go there. The building itself is quite nice. The original owners did a good job. My husband could not get a confirmation for our reservation after contacting them 3 times! The owners could learn from the folks at Escalante's Grand Staircase B&B in Escalante. I am contacting AAA and the other organizations that gave them a good rating. We travel the world and this was the worst b&b experience every. Nothing memorable.
