Very discreet place, hidden in a backyard of a small apartment building. Cakes are one of a kind, delicious, very big pieces, a little expensive but trust me it’s worth it! Variety of drinks such as specialty coffees, soft drinks with home made fruit syrups, and more. Definitely it’s a must visit place for every guest of Sofia!

We were in Sofia with my wife for couple of weeks. One of our friends took us to this amazing cafe. It’s a hidden paradise in the heart of Sofia. Their cakes are made from scratch daily. The little courtyard is such a fun place to spend an hour with coup of coffee and slice of delicious European cake. If you happen to visit Sofia, or you just live there you MUST go to Vila Rosiche. Their friendly staff will be happy to make your experience even more relaxing and fun.

We visited this pastry shop yesterday and honestly, we were super happy with everything. The desserts were really tasty, and the tea too. I was actually surprised (in a good way!) by the level of sweetness - at first glance I thought it might be too sweet, but no, it was just right. And yes, all the hype about the eclairs is totally true - they were amazing. The staff was also really nice and helped us choose. I had a little issue yesterday and it got solved super quickly - really appreciate that. We’ll definitely come back!

Very lovely spot. They offer a great selection of coffee and matcha beverages. The spread of cakes and pastry is impressive. Their backyard is peaceful and an amazing spot for afternoon, or morning, tea time. The price is definitely high but worth the overall experience. Accept card, offer bathroom and wifi too.

This bakery is hiding inside a residential building, which is like a nice little garden. There are different kinds of cakes here. I chose the cheesecake and it was very tasty. This cake is a Basque cheesecake with cookie crumbs on the bottom and a small clock decoration made of chocolate on top. Coffee and other beverages are also available in the store. The owner is also very friendly. It is highly recommended to stop by this quiet little bakery for a cake and a cup of coffee after sightseeing in the center of the pedestrian street.

A "must-visit" gem in Sofia! great cake shop in an old house with a large selection of cakes. The vintage interior is very charming. We've been there twice during our stay and will definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

Sadly, I have mixed feelings about this place. It used to be one of our favourite bakeries- my partner and I fell in love with so many of their cheesecakes, especially the lime and blueberry. The quality and atmosphere were once outstanding. Because we loved it so much, we even hoped to get our wedding cake from here. At first, the owner was warm and enthusiastic, encouraging us to get in touch in a month for a tasting and discuss further details. But when we called back, the tone had completely changed- she was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, saying they don’t do tastings and that they’re too small to offer such service. It was such a disappointing shift after our previous experiences and we were genuinely surprised by the awful behaviour of this woman. It breaks my heart because it used to be a wonderful and charming bakery with delicious desserts, but after that interaction and the hire of new unexperienced bakers, I’m not sure I could recommend it to friends anymore...

It is an absolute go-to place if you want to try exquisite homemade desserts and enjoy a lovely time in a charming setting. Visiting this place over the years has never disappointed, it is self-service (it switched a while ago, not that it matters much), friendly staff and the most delicious biscoff cheesecake (a great variety of all else). Always recommended.
