First, I guess it is near the airport, though I do not know where the airport is and we certainly did not hear any planes at all. It is near several other hotels, a hotel row, and the area is quite safe.
Rooms are nice, new, clean, very pleasant. It looks like they recently gave it a refresh: new paint, wall spackling, new furniture, carpet, beds. The hall carpet looks old and dated, but don't let that fool you about the room interior. A nice touch is that all the light switches have glow lights so they are readily found in the dark.
Bath towels, while not humongous, are large and decently comfortable. Plenty of hot water and decent water pressure with a decent shower head.
Has a small refrigerator, which we used, a microwave, and a safe. The safe says it costs $5 to use, but that can be waived upon request at the front desk.
AC worked just dandy. It was a hot summer day.
We didn't hear our neighbors through the walls if we had any. Could hear some hall noise, but that's expected in a hotel.
Didn't use the indoor pool or Jacuzzi so can't comment on that. There is a nice, small area with a nice grill and seating if you want to use it.
Staff was friendly and responsive.
Free and good WiFi. You know, some WiFi at hotels just stink. This was good. Tip: Their instructions are incomplete. If using an iPhone, you must first connect to their WiFi in Settings. Then go to a browser and follow their instructions.
The breakfast is a hot breakfast. You can get an omelet to order. Two waffle makers. Bacon and sausage patties. Fluffy biscuits and sausage gravy. Juice. Milk. Cold cereal. Nice looking pastries. Yogurt. Other stuff. Very nice breakfast.
So I booked this online and the room was $54 for two queens. Definitely a solid four stars and with the price of the room and the deluxe hot breakfast shoots it to five stars.
5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.
4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.
3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.
2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.
1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
